Sushila Devi Centre for Professional Studies & Research Society: Law College Dehradun (LCD),
Uttaranchal Institute of Technology (UIT), and Uttaranchal Institute of Management (UIM).

 Clean and Green Campus: Uttaranchal University displays sensitivity to issues like climate
change and environmental degradation. Thus, Uttaranchal University takes the lead in
protecting our mother nature by adopting eco-friendly activities and spreading awareness
through various programmes.

 Alternative sources of energy: Uttaranchal University works hard to reduce energy usage
and has implemented a variety of alternative energy sources. One initiative in this regard is
the institution's effort to use solar energy to reduce carbon emissions.

 Solid waste: To ensure a clean and green campus, the institution has implemented an
integrated waste management system. The ‘Nagar Nigam Dehradun' is in charge of disposing
of non-valuable solid waste. The garbage created is initially separated into wet and dry waste
by collecting it in green and blue dustbins, which are then collected by the university's
housekeeping staff every morning and placed at the central disposal yard.
Uttaranchal University Infrastructure and Facilities:
The university's stunning architecture and wide campus are well-known. It has also received the Best
Infrastructure Award - 2013 for having the best infrastructure. The Administrative Block, Academic
Blocks, Laboratories, Computer Center, Central Library, Moot Court, Auditorium, Guest House,
Shopping Arcade, Food Court, Cafeteria, series of dormitory buildings, and the expansive artistically
planted grounds with unique flora are all part of the campus. The infrastructure facilitates the
provision of a variety of educational and extracurricular inputs. Workshops, Staff Rooms, Seminar
Halls, and Guest Rooms have all been created to the highest standards.

Uttaranchal University Library Facilities:

At Uttaranchal University, the central library is the heart of the academic community. It has a carpet
area of 2430 square metres. It's built to fulfil users' information needs, with the goal of giving
"Anytime, Anywhere Access" to data via a remote access facility. By providing a knowledge portal,
the Central Library assists the institution in achieving academic and research excellence.

The library has a hybrid collection of printed and electronic materials, including books, journals,
theses and dissertations databases, audio-visuals, CDs/DVDs, e-books, e-journals, reports, case
studies, conference proceedings, and training manuals on a variety of topics.

Uttaranchal University Computer Centre:

A computer centre is a facility where we can obtain all information technology-related services. This
facility includes a multitude of high-performance computer facilities, cutting-edge servers, and
cutting-edge Linux and Windows laboratories. as well as a variety of complex application packages.

The centre has a 1000 Mbps fibre optic network that connects all academic departments,
dormitories, libraries, other buildings, and other major amenities to the centre. It is equipped with a
computer system and a server (Linux server, domain server, database server, Thin Client Server,
backup server, ERP server and storage).

Beyond the Curriculum:

Academics are strongly intertwined with extracurricular and co-curricular activities. True education
aims to produce a balanced personality, which includes knowledge and its application, intelligence
and its expression, confidence and communication skills, activity and agility, and aptitude and flare.

Uttaranchal University places a strong emphasis on putting on intellectually exciting activities that
encourage students to participate and grow their confidence while also improving their skills. The
kids take part in a variety of cultural and sporting events during the annual Yuva Fest. They will also
be able to see numerous celebrities perform.

Placement and Training:

In order to provide students with industry exposure, the Corporate Resource Cell offers summer
training and internships at various companies. Through campus recruitment initiatives, the cell gives
excellent career assistance to students and supports them in locating reputable organisations for
work opportunities. On a regular basis, career counselling and personality development seminars are
held to provide students with information and support about job opportunities in India and overseas,

The Uttaranchal University steps ahead by offering scholarships and conducting remedial classes in
the university for the benefit of the economically and socially weaker and backward sections.

Uttaranchal university admission Process:

The completed Registration Form, along with the relevant documents, can be sent in or mailed to the
University Admission Cell, along with a registration fee of Rs. 1200/- in cash or a DD drawn in favour
of Uttaranchal University, payable in Dehradun. The students need to provide a Uttarakhand
Domicile Certificate along with the applicable category certificate from a competent authority to
apply for a course under the Uttarakhand quota.

The Uttaranchal University encourages scholarly aptitude in students. In order to recognize their
academic excellence following scholarships are awarded to students who perform extremely well in
their qualifying examinations.

Conditions: The merit scholarship will be awarded to students on the basis of their performance in
their qualifying examinations if, following conditions are met with.

(i) All programmes/subjects of their qualifying examinations are cleared in first attempt.

(ii) This scholarship is applicable for first year only; the students cannot claim the scholarship for
subsequent years.

(iii) There will be no rounding of CGPA or the marks in their qualifying, for example if a student
achieves CGPA “8.99” it will be considered as 8.99 and will not be considered as 9.00 similarly, if a
student achieves 89.99% it will not be considered as 90.00%

B: Uttarakhand State Domicile Scholarship

The Uttaranchal University awards 26% scholarship in Tuition Fee to Uttarakhand Domicile Students.
40% of seats for these students are reserved throughout all the programmes of the University. To
claim this award of scholarship the student must carry a valid Domicile certificate (Original) of
Uttarakhand State at the time of admission/counseling.

C: Sushila Devi Scholarship for Girls

The Uttaranchal University awards 10% Sushila Devi Scholarship for Girl students on net Tuition Fee
applicable for complete course for UG/PG programmes subject to following conditions:

(i) The Scholarship percentage will remain same for ‘Uttarakhand’ / ’All India’ category

D: Scholarship to the Wards of Defence Personnel

The Uttaranchal University awards 5% scholarship on net Tuition Fee to the son/daughter of defence
personnel (including Para Military viz ITBP, CRPF, etc.) for complete course. To claim this award of
scholarship the student must carry a valid certificate (Original) of their father/mother at the time of
admission/counseling. 1. In case of serving Defence Personnel (i) Dependent’s card issued to the
servicemen / A certificate issued by the Unit Head / C.O. of the servicemen (ii) ID card of the
servicemen (iii) ID/Aadhaar card of the student 2. In case of retired Defence Personnel (i) Discharge
certificate of the servicemen (ii) ID card of the Ex-Servicemen (iii) ID/Aadhaar card of the student 3.
In case of deceased Defence Personnel in combat (i) Dependent’s card issued to the servicemen / A
certificate issued by the Unit Head /C.O. of the servicemen. (ii) ID/Aadhaar card of the student
