 Brief Introduction:
1. In this project Shopping Cart which solely focuses on getting you
started with the JAVA Collections framework then it’s time to dig a little
deeper and create a Shopping Cart application to demonstrate the use of
Collections in a real-world application.

2. I have chosen Shopping Cart application for this purpose because I

found it perfect for implementing collections in this application.

3. Shopping Cart application will help you in modelling real-world entities

into code.

4. The role of this class in your Shopping Cart Application is to

provide you with the store products.

5. In other words, this class is used to initialize your store as soon as

the application is started. In real-world application, the items will be
retrieved from user session or database. For simplicity, I’m using
Products class to initialize objects.

6. Rationale:-

1. A shopping card is a piece off ware that acts as an online store’s catalog

and ordering process.
2. Shopping card is the interface between a company’s website
3. Its deeper infrastructure, allowing consumers to select merchandise ;
review what they have selected make necessary modifica on or addi ons
; and purchase the merchandise

2
4. Shopping card can be sold as independent pieces of so ware so
companies can integrate them into the own unique online solu on or they
can be offered as a feature from a service that will create and host a
companys commerce website.

 Aim / Benefits:

1. The “Shopping Card” has been developed with java programming using jdk
app.
2. This also minimizes paperwork and manual tasks.
3. Shopping cart helps us in this project for shopping the things in easy way
from any place.

 Course Outcomes:

1. Use jdk software.

2. Implement exception handling.
3. Develop program using object oriented
Methodology in Java.

 Proposed Methodology:

Our team began the microproject by developing a project plan to

ensure completion within a defined timeline. We then devided the project
work among team members and commenced the information-gathering
phase according to assigned tasks. To gather information, we utilized
textbooks, online resources such as Google, and consulted with our

3
professor to clarify any uncertainties. Following the information-
gathering phase, we progressed to the implementation phase of the
microproject. Here, we utilized the information we had gathered to
complete our assigned tasks. Throughout the implementation phase, we
consistently consulted with each other and our professor to ensure the
project was proceeding as planned. Ultimately, we successfully completed
the microproject within the given timeline and submitted it to our
professor for review. Our team's utilization of careful planning, effective
communication, and consistent consultation ensured the successful
completion of the microproject. Focused on the selection of an
appropriate topic for the micro-project.
