An art gallery exhibits the works of many artists. Each artist is given a specified space
on the online webpage. The artists are charged for the space allotted to them on
daily basis. The charges vary in different months. Jan to April and August to
December the charges are Rs 200 per day per exhibit, from May to July charges are
Rs 300 per day per exhibit. Each exhibit has a name and style of painting. The
exhibits can be bought by the online customers who need to register with the art
gallery. The painting is sent to the customer, when customer orders painting. The
system keeps track of the status of delivery of the painting to the customer. This
status can also be seen by the customer.
1.0 Rationale
The restaurant management system is a java project developed for taking and managing
the restaurant orders. It assists the waiters to take the order of food digitally and more
easily than before. This whole project is developed in Java programming language
using Netbeans IDE 8.2. Here in this project, you can add your employee and also can
add the menu items to make your restaurant look fancier. This project comes along
with MySQL database as backend.
A group of three members was formed to work on this micro-project. After researching
various topics, we selected Online Art Gallery as our micro-project topic through
group discussion. The tasks were equally distributed among the team members to
ensure a balanced workload. We explored different research papers, websites, and
books related to online art galleries and studied key concepts such as website
development, database management, user interface design, and online payment
integration. To strengthen our understanding, we sought guidance from our subject
teacher and clarified complex topics. Based on our research, we implemented the
learned concepts in our micro-project, following the planned agenda and outline. We
incorporated relevant diagrams, including system architecture, database schema, and
user flow models, to enhance our project.
1.0 Rationale :
The rationale for this project is to develop a dynamic and user-friendly Online Art
Gallery platform using PHP and MySQL. The objective is to provide artists a digital
space to showcase and sell their artwork while allowing users to browse, purchase, and
interact with various art collections. In the digital age, where e-commerce is rapidly
growing, this project aims to bridge the gap between artists and potential buyers by
offering a virtual marketplace. The platform demonstrates core web development
concepts including session handling, database connectivity, and CRUD operations. This
project also emphasizes the importance of secure, responsive design and the role of
backend logic in managing product listings, user sessions, and billing processes.
Develop and deploy PHP-based dynamic web applications using server-side scripting.
Design and build responsive user interfaces using HTML and CSS.
Apply secure coding practices for developing safe and stable web applications.
Our subject teacher guided us throughout the process, helping us debug errors and improve
the structure of our code. Based on suggestions, we made design enhancements and
validated inputs to ensure smooth user interaction. After successful testing, the final output
was documented, soft copy verified, and a hard copy was submitted on the deadline day. A
demo of the project was also presented to the subject teacher for evaluation.
Applications
1. This project can be used by artist to introduce their art online and connect with people.
2. Can be used by people to buy online art of their interest.
Conclusion:
With the help of the project we learned different new concept of PHP. We got knowledge about different
built in features available in PHP. We learnt how to implement online art gallery system, how to establish
communication between server and host system.
