Note:
1.For asterisk (*) marked loads, a ten (10) percent loading is considered as momentary loading during the first one minute period of the duty cycle.
2. For (D) marked loads, the Momentary Load is arrived based on operation criteria & Indication load is taken as constant load throughout it's duty cycle.
3. 400KV & 220KV switchyard loads are not included since these are catered by dedicated DC systems.
4. Loads marked thus (#) are included for float charger sizing.
5. In Loads marked ($) Load factor of 0.9 are considered only in Continious running condition.
6. No random Load is assumed as insertion of load is known to us.

ANNEXURE - 2
CALCULATION FOR MINIMUM END CELL VOLTAGE
1. Nominal System Voltage = 220 V
2. Minimum allowable system voltage (-15% of the System voltage) = 187 V
3. Maxm. Voltage drop from battery upto load terminals @5% of 220V = 11 V
4. Minimum voltage required at battery terminals = (2)+(3) 198 V
5. Number of cells assumed = 110 V
6. Minimum end cell voltage required = (4)/(5) 1.80 V
7. Leaving a little margin, minimum End cell voltage considered = 1.85 V
8. Minimum number of cells required for ECV of 1.85V =(4)/(7) 107.03
Therefore Min Number of cell rounded-off to next higher whole No. 108
Hence, consideration of 110 cells is correct.

ANNEXURE - 2
CALCULATION FOR MINIMUM END CELL VOLTAGE
1. Nominal System Voltage = 220 V
2. Minimum allowable system voltage (-15% of the System voltage) = 187 V
3. Maxm. Voltage drop from battery upto load terminals @5% of 220V = 8.8 V
4. Minimum voltage required at battery terminals = (2)+(3) 195.8 V
5. Number of cells assumed = 108 V
6. Minimum end cell voltage required = (4)/(5) 1.81 V
7. Leaving a little margin, minimum End cell voltage considered = 1.85 V
8. Minimum number of cells required for ECV of 1.85V =(4)/(7) 105.84
9. Therefore Min Number of cell rounded-off to next higher whole No. 108
10. Max system Voltage = 10% of the system Voltage 242

Hence, consideration of 108 cells is correct.
