*Day 1*

Self Introduction

*Day 2*
Greeting
We greet others
• good morning in the morning from 12 am to 11:59 am
• good afternoon in afternoon, from 12 pm to 3 pm
• good evening in the evening, from 3 pm to till we sleep
• and good night when we go to sleep.

Verb:
Verbs are action words. It refers to the actions that a person does.
E.g.: jump, laugh, eat, write, read etc…

When we are asked to describe our action, we begin by saying ' I am’
E.g.: what are you doing?
I am jumping.
I am eating.
I am sweeping.

When we are asked to describe another person's action, we answer it as ‘he is ' for boys and
‘she is’ for girls.
E.g.: What is he doing?
He is playing.
What is she doing?
She is playing.

Shapes

Shapes include (circle, rectangle, square, triangle and diamond).


Circle
• The circle is round in shape.
• The circle has no sides.
• Some objects we see in our life in circle shapes are a clock, plate, bangle,ring, ball,
pizza, etc.

Square
• Square has 4 sides. All 4 sides are equal.
• Objects we see in square shapes are photo frames, clocks, gift boxes,chess boards,
dice, windows, carrom board etc.
Rectangle
• Rectangle has 4 sides.
• The opposite sides of a rectangle are equal.
• Objects that we see in rectangle shapes are notebook, scale, briefcase, chocolate
bar, mobile phone, buildings, playground, tetra pack juice, etc.
Triangle
• Triangle has 3 sides.
• Objects we see in triangle shapes are slices of a cake or watermelon or pizza, ice
cream cone, traffic signal board, yacht, the roof of a house etc…
Diamond
• Diamond has 4 sides..
• Objects we see in diamond shapes are diamonds, fish, kites, etc.

Rainbow
• It is one of the beautiful creation by the nature
• It has 7 colours
• Colours has a code – VIBGYOR
• V – Violet
I – Indigo
B – Blue
G – Green
Y – Yellow
O – Orange
R – Red
• It is seen in the sky.
• It is a multicoloured circular arc .

Flowers
There are different flowers in this world having different colours and features. List of flowers
include – Rose, Hibiscus, Dahlia, Lotus, Sun Flower, Lily, Poppy, Jasmine etc…

Rose
Rose is a beautiful flower.
There are different types of rose.
Roses can be red, pink, white, yellow, blue etc…
It has a good fragrance ( smell) .
It has thorns on its stem.
It has medicinal purposes.
It is common in our gardens .

House vocabulary
It includes the parts of the house like roof, different rooms, basement, roof, things we find in
the house etc…
Here we are studying about rooms in our house.

The concept of singular and plural
.
Singular - one person or thing (eg: pen)
Plural- one or more persons or things (eg: pens)
▪️This / that+ *is* + singular subject.
This comes with a nearer object.
That comes with a farther object.
Eg: This is a pen.
:That is a ball.
▪️These / those + *are* + plural subject.
These comes with nearer subjects
Those come with farther subjects
Eg:These are pens.
:These are balls.
Given examples and taught them the usage of this , that, these, those with singular and
plural and in sentences
Each student was asked to give examples.

Wh- questions -what, where , why, when, which , and who + How ( 5 wh questions and 1 H
question)
1) What – to get information about something or an action.
Eg: what is your name?
What is that?

2) Where – used to know a place or location


Eg: Where are you coming from?

3) Why – used to know the reason


Eg: Why are you crying

4) When – used for a time or date


Eg: When are you going?
: When is your birthday?

5) Which – used for a choice


Eg: Which is your favourite colour?
6) Who – used for a person

7) How- used to know the condition of something and manner of working

Names of each finger – thumb, index, middle, ring and little finger.

Body parts – sense organs


Sense organs and its functions- eyes (to see), nose(to smell), ears(to hear), tongue(to taste)
and skin(to feel).

Animals
Animals can be classified into domestic animals and wild animals.

Domestic animals
-animals found in homes and farms. They depend on humans for food, shelter and water.
Eg: cow, cat, dog, sheep etc...

-these animals are useful to humans

Wild animals
- animals found in forests and zoos.
-Are dangerous animals.
Eg:.lion, tiger, elephant, giraffe, fox etc...

• ‘There is’ is used with singular objects.

• ‘There are’ is used with plural objects.
Eg: There are cars.

: There are pens.

Note: ‘An’ should be used before vowels ( a, e, i, o, u)


Eg: an apple, an elephant, an orange
And for other words starting with consonants, use ‘a’
Eg : a giraffe, a car, a pen

Kitchen Vocabulary
The items that we find in the kitchen.
Eg: I can see a knife.
:There is an oven.
:I can see a grinder.
:There are plates etc….

*Day 21*
Days of the week
• There are 7 days in a week – Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday,
Friday, Saturday.
• The first alphabet of each day will be capitalised
• Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
• First day of the week – Sunday
• Last day of the week – Saturday
• Weekend days – Saturday and Sunday
• Weekdays are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
• Use the preposition ‘on’ before the days in sentence
Eg: I went to the park on Sunday.

1. I go to school on Monday.
2. I have computer period on Tuesday.
3. I wear a colour dress on Wednesday.
4. Shall I go to the park on Thursday?
5. I saw a circus on Friday.
6. I watch Television on Saturday.
7. I go to the beach on Sunday.
