My decision to apply for the Beacon program stems from a thoughtful consideration of
the holistic approach it offers towards career development. The program’s
comprehensive and specialized training regimen is particularly appealing to me.
Instead of taking up and internship to learn on the job, I believe that participating in
specialized training efforts first would provide me with a solid foundation and set me
apart in the field of consulting.
Moreover, I am drawn to consulting for its inherent diversity and the invaluable
insights it offers into different industries. The core principles of consulting are robust
and applicable across various sectors, making it essential to have a comprehensive
understanding of them all.
Thus, participation in the Beacon program represents a pivotal step towards achieving
my long-term goals in business consulting. Through this program, I aspire to refine my
skills, deepen my understanding of diverse industries, and ultimately position myself
as a proficient and versatile consultant.

I’m interested in joining diiVe because it focuses on educational consulting, a field that
holds great significance for me. Coming from a humble background, receiving a
scholarship at an elite private school opened the doors to a better education, ultimately
leading me to Georgetown University. However, throughout my journey, I’ve often
pondered about the different types of education and what makes one truly effective.
diiVe's diverse applicatans from various educational backgrounds worldwide, offers a
unique opportunity to explore this question and expand my perspectives.
Moreover, the prospect of collaborating with consultants from different corners of the
globe excites me greatly. I look forward to learning from one another, and collectively
contribute to making a positive impact in the field of education.
Joining diiVe represents an opportunity for me to learn, grow, and ultimately make a
meaningful difference in the world of education.
What is your big YES and big NO? (max 200 words)*
My big YES undoubtedly is tennis. It began during my high school years when I first
picked up a racket, and since then, I've been recognized as the individual always ready
for a match. I just find the sport so intlectually and physically stimulating. I remember
borrowing a friend’s old racket and persistently practicing against a nearby wall, marking
pointers to perfect my technique. My dedication extends to watching matches with
friends, even staying up until the early hours to catch every moment. Tennis is not just a
hobby now but an interest that excites me a lot. Tennis was and will always be big YES.
Conversely, my big NO is firmly directed towards pickleball. Despite my respect for those
who enjoy it, I find the sport lacking in excitement and athleticism. The limited variations
and slow pace fail to capture my interest, compounded by the use of a plastic ball.
Besides, the rackets look like spatulas, which detract me from the overall experience.
While pickleball may have its appeal to some, it simply doesn’t align with my preferences
and passion for the dynamic and fast-paced nature of tennis. Therefore, pickleball stands
as a resolute NO.
How have you helped to create a positive change in your club, community, country or
organization? (max 400 words)*
From 15 June to October 2022, floods in Pakistan killed around 2,000 people, and caused ₨ 3.2 trillion ($14.8
billion) of damage and ₨ 3.3 trillion ($15.2 billion) of economic losses. It displaced around a million people as
well. During the devastating floods in Pakistan, I was serving as a volunteer with the Pakistani Red Crescent.
From June to August, I worked in the northern areas of Pakistan, assisting flood victims where the impact was
most severe. As part of the relief efforts, I dactively engage in distributing essential supplies including flour,
pads, clothes and providing support to affected communities.
One significant challenge I encountered during my volunteer work was the issue of gender equity in the
distribution of relief supplies within the camps. Observing that men often received preferential treatment during
food distribution, I took it upon myself to address this disparity. I initiated specific ration distribution hours
exclusively for women on Tuesdays and Saturdays, ensuring that they had equal access to essential resources.
This initiative not only promoted fairness but also empowered women within the community.
Additionally, I was given the responsibility of overseeing the construction of relief camps in the western areas
of Pakistan. By coordinating with local authorities and volunteers, I ensured that these camps were built
efficiently and provided adequate shelter and facilities for the displaced families.
One of my most notable achievements during this time was negotiating with my former school to establish ten
fully funded scholarships for students affected by the floods. Despite the challenges of persuading a prestigious
institution, I successfully secured these scholarships, providing affected students with access to quality
education. This initiative aimed to alleviate the educational impact of the disaster and empower young
individuals to rebuild their lives. The scholarship ran for two years.
At Georgetown University, I initiated a comprehensive campaign spanning three months to raise awareness and
collect donations for flood relief efforts. I put up a red crescent donation box in the middle of the atrium where
everyone gathers and eat and also negotiated with the university to put educational displays, such as a
whiteboard illustrating the impact of the floods. With the collective efforts of students and faculty, we surpassed
our fundraising goal, collecting over 10 thousand Riyals in donations. These funds were utilized to procure
additional relief supplies, including food packets, which were distributed to the affected regions in northern
Pakistan.
