    Sika® MultiSeal-500
    $v(name) is a prefabricated self-adhering sheet-type waterproofing membrane.

    PRODUCT DESCRIPTION CHARACTERISTICS / ADVANTAGES


    Sika® MultiSeal-500 is a prefabricated self-adhering Sika® MultiSeal-500 offers the contractor and property
    sheet-type waterproofing membrane. It is composed of owner these extra features:
    a tough multi-layer cross-laminated film that is coated ▪ Uniform thickness for dependable protection
    with a rubberized asphalt adhesive. A release liner ▪ Self-seals around fasteners including nails, staples and
    protects the adhesive and is removed as the membrane screws

    purpose waterproofing membrane for use in sub-grade accommodates expansion and contraction of the

    ▪ Foundation wall, floor and planter waterproofing,
    under stucco and at head, sill chimney shoulder, pot
    shelves, parapets and pony walls
    ▪ Use for sealing SIPS building panels and around doors,
    windows and other potential leak areas
    ▪ Waterproofs and protects ICF foundations from
    damage
    ▪ Thru-wall flashing in cavity wall construction

    SUBSTRATE PREPARATION sealants


    ▪ Do not install over flexible vinyl gaskets or uncured
    ▪ Apply in clear, dry weather caulking
    ▪ Surface must be clean, dry and free from oil ▪ Do not expose installed product to direct sunlight for
    ▪ Masonry must be clean, fully cured and primed with an more than 90 days
    asphalt primer
    ▪ Prime weathered surfaces and OSB as necessary
    ▪ Clean, dry wood and metal surfaces do not require
    priming
    APPLICATION METHOD / TOOLS
    ▪ Use 3” side laps and 6” head laps
    ▪ When applying on vertical concrete surfaces, a
    termination bar is recommended around the top
    ▪ Apply uniform pressure with a 2-3” hand roller to
    entire surface

    LIMITATIONS
    ▪ Do not install over solvent-based sealants unless fully
    cured active solvents may liquefy bottom adhesive
    surface
    ▪ Installer is responsible for compatibility with caulks and
