4. Reporting Manager Head - Urban Poverty Alleviation
5. Employment Type Fixed Term Employment for 3 years
6. Grade Equivalent 5 or 6
Brief Job Description:
1. Lead engagement, collaboration, and partnership with identified resource institutions to support programs for
systems strengthening.
2. Lead gap/ need assessment and content development to bridge the capacity gaps in the sector.
3. Prepare circulars, financial budgets, and overall management of grants for time bound implementation.
4. Develop and maintain a repository of experts and resource institutions.
5. Undertake regular monitoring visits and assessments, in consultation with the Theme Head and provide strategic
inputs for improvement as required.
6. Work with sub themes and internal teams to integrate planning and design to achieve thematic outcomes and
support the Trusts functional teams in assessments, database development and maintenance and monitoring and
impact studies of the portfolio.
7. Actively participate in stakeholder meetings including Government meetings, partner and funder consultations,
international agencies, local partners etc.
8. Work on the development of best practice-based documentation and further innovation.
Key Accountability:
1. Lead the Systems Strengthening vertical under the UPA theme.
2. Identify and build partnerships as required for program implementation.
3. Support design and monitoring of programs aimed at strengthening institutions and systems for urban governance.
4. Manage necessary processes to finalize grants, agreements and implementation plans.

External CSOs, Govt, Academic, technical and research institutions
Competencies & Skills:
• Strategic thinking and excellent writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to work with the Government, non-Government sector as well as academia and technical institutions.
• Ability to take initiative, prioritize, multi-task and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-cultural team.
Experience:
• 5-10 years’ experience of working in the development sector, preferably on institutions and system
strengthening
Qualification:
• Master’s degree in social sciences
