Rules and regulations:

• Any announcement made on Ninova is assumed to reach all students.

Students must follow Ninova, and are responsible for the announce-
ments and requests on there.

• Medical excuses and administrative permits are valid only if they are
approved by Student Affairs. It is the students’ responsibility to satisfy
the steps and the requirements laid out in the regulations.

• Your best 5 quiz grades out of the 6 will be taken into account for
your overall quiz grade, i.e. each student’s lowest quiz grade will be
discarded. Thus, each quiz carries 6% weight.

• No make-up will be given for the quizzes. If a student has a valid

excuse for a quiz, the average of his or her remaining quiz grades will
be assigned for the missing one(s).

• For students with valid excuses, a make-up for the midterm exam will
be given. This will take place after the final exam, and the make-up
exam will cover the entire contents of the course.

• Students who miss three or more quizzes without a valid excuse will
receive VF.

• Students who miss the midterm exam without a valid excuse will re-
ceive VF.

• Students with an in-term average below 25.00% (15.00 marks out of

60) will receive VF.

• The final exam will cover the entire contents of the course.

• The quizzes and the exams will typically be classical in the sense that
notes and books will be closed, and calculators will not be used. If an
exam will be conducted differently, it will be announced with sufficient
notice.

• Light usage of Matlab and/or Python in classes could be expected.

This will only be for demonstrative purposes and programming ques-
tions will not be asked in the exams.
