 Visual inspection of joint like under cut, under fill, surface crack, surface
porosity, excess weld metal, lack of penetration, spatter, uneven ripples, arc
strike, start and stop point, unfilled craters etc.
 Preparation, Witnessing & qualifying of Welding Procedure Specification (WPS),
Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) and Production Test Coupon Records for
various welding processes such as SMAW, SAW, GMAW, FCAW.
 Witnessing UT/RT/MPT/DPT on welded joints and doing evaluation/interpretation
as per procedure/standard.
 Inspection of Storage and Handling of welding consumable, Ensured proper
baking of electrodes and fluxes, maintaining records in register.
 Analyses and resolve issues & problems emerging during the quality
control.Practicing quality standards with key emphasis on improving quality.
 To look for continuous improvement & thus decreasing rejection, rework,
customer complaints.
 Attending weekly & monthly meeting for quality improvement with
client/contractor.
 Identifying areas of quality failures & take steps to rectify the system.
To raise Non-conformance report (NCR)/Field Inspection Report (FIR) where
applicable and ensure satisfactory close out.
