FOREWORD
The provision of quality education and training is fundamental to the
Government’s overall strategy for social economic development. Quality
education and training will contribute to achievement Kenya’s
development blue print and sustainable development goals.

PREFACE
The TVET Curriculum Development, Assessment and Certification
Council (TVET CDACC), in conjunction with Electrical Engineering
Sector Skills Advisory Committee (SSAC) have developed these
Occupational Standards for an Electrical Technician. These standards will
be the bases for development of a competency based curriculum for
Electrical Technician Level 6. These Standards will also be the bases for
assessment of an individual for competence certification.
