    VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

    Breckridge Investment (Pvt) Ltd, a subsidiary of Dallaglio Investments Group and leading gold mining
    company in Zimbabwe, has exciting, and challenging career opportunities.

    Applications are invited from suitably qualified, competent and experienced persons to fill the
    following positions.

    MAINTENANCE FITTER X 2

    Job Purpose

    Ensuring proper equipment daily checks are done and corrective measures taken and ensure that the
    equipment and systems are operating to set targets and higher and keeping all fixed plant equipment
    operations to its optimal performance by optimizing parameters.

    Duties and responsibilities

    Reporting to the Mechanical Foreman, the successful candidate will be, among other duties, required
    to take full charge of the following:

    ❖ Adhering to all legal and safety requirements Maintenance in particular SI 109 of 1990.
    ❖ Interpretation of engineering drawings, modifications, and plant improvements on
    underground fixed plant.
    ❖ Ensuring adherence to SHEQ standards in particular ISO45001, ISO14001 & ISO9001.
    ❖ Responsible for housekeeping, personal safety and for fellow workers, reporting any safety
    incidents or accidents.
    ❖ Completing work orders, spares and material requests initiation, breakdown root cause
    analysis etc. for an effective maintenance system.
    ❖ Installation and scheduled maintenance of fixed plant equipment, rolling stock and
    infrastructure.
    ❖ Ensuring proper equipment daily checks are done and corrective measures taken to ensure
    that the equipment and systems are operating to set targets and higher.
    ❖ Keeping all fixed plant equipment operations to its optimal performance by optimizing
    parameters.
    ❖ Planning and managing own work, and all subordinates; and relieving Supervisor when
    required.
    ❖ Generate a safe working environment without causing injury to personnel and equipment to
    achieve maximum business return.

    Person Specifications

    Suitable candidates should have the following qualifications and experience:

    ❖ NC/ND in Fitting and Turning/Machining.


    ❖ Class one Journeyman
    ❖ Minimum of 3 years as a Fitter in Heavy or Mining / Construction Industry environment.
    ❖ Minimum of five (5) years’ experience post Apprenticeship training.
    ❖ Sound Understanding of ISO9001 QMS, ISO14001 EMS, ISO45001 OSHMS
    ❖ Good communication and report writing skills.
