2.1. Main objectives:
The course will equip learners with basic understanding on start-up such as its nature, types of
startup, business model as well as fundamental skills necessary for business people. The course also
provides knowledge on the necessary steps, processes to prepare for a successful launching of startup
and minimizing its risks. The startup models introduced in the course are updated with the
international startup practices.
This course is very useful for students to maximize the chance of applying all other business
administration courses such as Fundamental of Management, Market Reasreach, Branding, Strategy,
Project or Risk Management, etc into one particular business project.
2.2. Particular Objectives:
2.2.1. Knowledge:
- To acknowledge the concepts/ understanding of business startup, marketplace with reference to the
internaional models and practices.
- To understand and and practise the start-up steps, processes.
2.2.2. Skills:
- To analyze, evaluate marketplace and identify business opportunity;
- To develop a concrete business plan for start-up business of choice;

- To practise HR and financial management skills;
2.2.3. Generating independence and responsible capabilities:
- Team work, listening and learning spirits in class;
- Responsible working manner under high pressure and time demand;
