SUSTAINABLE
DEVELOPMENT GOAL 3
The third Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) is all about good
health and well-being, to ensure that everyone, regardless of age,
has a healthy life and is promoted. This all-encompassing objective
includes several goals, such as lowering the death rates of mothers
and children, treating and preventing infectious illnesses, and
guaranteeing that everyone has access to basic medical care. It
tackles the necessity of strong health personnel and infrastructure
while highlighting the significance of mental health. In addition to
being a fundamental right, the SDGs acknowledge that health is
also a critical component of sustainable development. Strengthening
health systems, expanding access to necessary medications and
immunizations, and advancing health education are all necessary to
achieve this aim. The third SDG aims to establish a society where
everyone has access to preventative care by tackling the
socioeconomic determinants of health and giving them priority. can
lead a healthy and fulfilling life, contributing to broader societal
well-being.

GOAL 5:
Gender equality is the fifth Sustainable Development Goal (SDG),
which aims to provide equal opportunity and representation while
putting an end to violence and discrimination based on gender. This
objective acknowledges the significance of empowering women and
girls in all spheres of life, such as work, education, and decision-
making. It aims to end damaging customs like female genital
mutilation and child marriage while advancing equitable access to
resources and services. It takes inclusive policies, a willingness to
question social conventions, and encouragement of women in
leadership positions to achieve gender equality. The concept that
gender equality is both a fundamental human right and a
requirement for an equitable and sustainable society is emphasized
by this SDG. The objective is to overcome systematic gender
imbalances and imagine a future in which every person, regardless
of gender, has the freedom to pursue their aspirations and
contribute to the betterment of society.

Clean Water and sanitary, the sixth Sustainable
Development Goal, aims to provide everyone with access to
sufficient sanitary facilities and clean drinking water. It
tackles issues of pollution, insufficient water supply, and
deficient infrastructure, with a focus on protecting
ecosystems and providing fair access to water. By promoting
good cleanliness, this aim aims to stop infections that are
spread by water. Investing in infrastructure, promoting
hygiene, and sustainable water management are all
necessary to achieve clean water and sanitation. The
objective recognises the interconnectedness of water
resources with human development and ecological health,

GOAL 9
Akin to an innovation manifesto, the ninth
Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) is named
ROHIT XI - A
"Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure." It's an
appeal to use innovative technology, robust
infrastructure, and inclusive industrialization to
transform our planet. Imagine a world in which
invention is the lifeblood of growth, industries are
sustainable, and creativity and advancement are
thriving. This objective is to provide the framework
for resilient societies by making sure that the
infrastructure is both strong and ecologically
friendly. It's a road plan for generating concepts,
encouraging innovation, and building the
groundwork for a society in which advancement is
advantageous to everybody. By embracing
innovation and environmentally friendly
infrastructure, we're building a future in which
advancement will only be beneficial.

Goal 10
The tenth Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), "Reduced
Inequality," aims to lessen the gap between the haves and
have-nots. It represents a dedication to removing obstacles,
encouraging equal opportunities, and cultivating inclusive
society. Imagine a world in which money, resources, and
opportunities are more evenly divided, guaranteeing that no
one falls behind. This objective focuses on wealth inequality,
discriminatory legislation, and societal inequities in order to
provide a more fair playing field for all. Reduced Inequality
serves as a lighthouse for societies in which everyone,
regardless of origin or situation, has the opportunity to
prosper.

In order to guarantee sustainable
patterns of consumption and production,
the twelfth Sustainable Development
Goal (SDG) is Responsible Consumption
and Production. This objective deals with
how pollution, waste production, and
resource utilisation affect the
environment. It highlights how important
it is to separate resource depletion and
environmental deterioration from
economic growth. The SDG promotes
resource efficiency, the adoption of
sustainable practices, and waste
reduction across the product lifetime.
Achieving Responsible Consumption and
Production requires encouraging
sustainable lifestyles, deploying eco-
friendly technology, and nurturing a

Development Goal 14
Life Below Water is the
fourteenth Sustainable
Development Goal (SDG), with
the goal of conserving and using
oceans, seas, and marine
resources in a sustainable
manner. This aim recognises the
importance of oceans in
managing the Earth's climate and
maintaining biodiversity.
Overfishing, pollution, and marine
habitat degradation are among
the issues addressed. The SDGs
encourage sustainable fisheries,
marine conservation, and
pollution reduction. Achieving Life
Below Water entails protecting
and restoring marine ecosystems,
managing fisheries sustainably,
and addressing the effects of
climate change on oceans. This
objective helps both marine PRATEEK VI- A
species and human groups that
rely on ocean resources by
preserving the health and
resilience of marine ecosystems.
34

Life on Land is the sixteenth
Goal 15 Sustainable Development Goal (SDG),
which seeks to maintain, restore, and
promote sustainable use of terrestrial
ecosystems, prevent biodiversity loss,
and combat desertification and land
degradation. This aim acknowledges
the critical role that biodiversity and
healthy ecosystems play in
maintaining life on the planet. It
addresses concerns including
deforestation, habitat degradation,
and animal trafficking. The SDGs
encourage sustainable land
SHIVA XI - A management, conservation, and land
restoration. Life on Land entails
preserving biodiversity, conserving
endangered species, and encouraging
sustainable land-use planning. This
aim promotes environmental
sustainability, ecological resilience,
and the well-being of terrestrial

Institutions, which seeks to create
peaceful and inclusive communities, offer
access to justice, and construct effective,
accountable, and transparent institutions.
This aim recognises the significance of
establishing violence-free society,
providing equal access to justice, and
supporting responsible governance. It
tackles topics including violence,
corruption, and a lack of competent
legal structures. The SDGs emphasise the
rule of law, human rights protection, and
the need for robust and responsible
institutions at all levels. To achieve
peace, justice, and strong institutions,
non-discriminatory laws must be
promoted, corruption must be combated,
and equal access to justice must exist. AADITYA XI - A
Addressing these difficulties helps to
create stable, just, and inclusive societies
across the world.
35
Sustainable Partnerships for the Goals is the
seventeenth and final SDG. This
Development aim acknowledges the necessity for

worldwide collaboration to fulfil the
other sixteen goals. It emphasizes
the significance of collaboration
among governments, the
commercial sector, civil society, and
international organizations in
mobilizing resources, exchanging
information, and carrying out
sustainable development projects.
The SDGs promote inclusive and
multi-stakeholder partnerships that
may draw on the capabilities of
many parties to address difficult
global issues. Achieving
Partnerships for the Goals entails
encouraging cooperation,
exchanging technology and
expertise, and supporting
sustainable practices at the local,
national, and global levels. This
objective emphasizes the

What we all can do for the sustainable development of life below water
are:-
·
CONSERVE WATER
Do not waste water so that excess waste water does not flow to the
oceans. Clean ocean means healthy marine life.
·
REDUCE WASTE
Practice reusing things so that less waste comes out of every house leads
to less garbage and debris in oceans.
·
SHOP WISELY
Buy only useful and environment-friendly things. Avoid plastic products.
Use a reusable cloth bag.
·
LESS CHEMICALS
Practice using organic products that are nature-friendly. Chemicals make
the water toxic and no life can exist in toxic water be it aquatic plants or
aqua organisms.
·
AVOID OVERFISHING
When too many fish are taken out of the oceans it creates an imbalance
in marine life.
·
VOLUNTEERING ACTIVITY
Clean-up activity done by volunteers from different organizations helps
in maintaining clean water life. Cleanliness drives near rivers, beaches of
seas by students help create awareness among society towards marine
life.
All these and many more activities sensitized towards marine life help in
the sustainable growth and development of Life Below Water.
