a. The sum of two integers is 65. If one of the integers is -47, find the other.
b. A piece of a wire 2¾ meters long broke into two pieces, one piece is 5/8 metre
long, how long is the other piece?
c. A bag contains 45 kg 80g of sugar and the mass of empty bag is 950g. What is
the mass of the bag containing this much sugar?
d. By how much should 84.5 be decreased to get 27.84?
e. Laxmi bought 4½ m of cloth for her kurta and 22/3 m of cloth for her salwar. How
much cloth did she purchase in all?
