Hard work and Discipline

Khaled Waleed
9 orange

Cristiano Ronaldo was born on February 5, 1985, in a small town called Funchal, on the
island of Madeira, Portugal. He grew up in a poor family, in a small room with his three
siblings. Even with the challenges his family faced, Ronaldo always had a passion for
football. From a young age, he was determined to work hard and become the greatest
player.

Ronaldo started playing football at 7 years old, showing an amazing talent. His father, José
Dinis Aveiro, worked as a kit man for a local football club, which helped Ronaldo get more
access to the sport. However, Ronaldo’s father Was an alcoholic, and in 2005, when
Ronaldo was 20 years old, his father passed away due to liver failure. This was a
heartbreaking moment for Ronaldo, but instead of letting it get to him, Ronaldo turned his
pain into motivation.

Ronaldo promised to work harder than anyone else and to achieve his dream. He trained up
to 5 hours daily doing a mix of football drills, strength training, and cardio. His daily routine
was built to improve his skills and fitness. Ronaldo wakes up at 6 Am, eats a balanced diet
focused on protein, fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, and starts his mornings with
extreme training. He always made sure to rest enough taking up to five 90-minute naps a
day, to maximize his recovery, because it is as important as working out.

Unlike many footballers, Ronaldo avoids going to parties. Ronaldo stays away from alcohol,
a decision inspired by his father, he avoids distractions and focuses on his goals. His focus
is always on football, fitness, and becoming the best in the world.

Over the years, Ronaldo’s hard work paid off. He went from being a poor kid in Madeira to
one of the most successful footballers in history. He played for some of the world’s greatest
football clubs, like Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus, and won many trophies,
including 5 UEFA Champions League titles. He’s also one of the highest-paid footballers in
the world, besides the fact that he has broken so many world records.

In conclusion, Ronaldo's story shows that hard work and discipline can take you from a poor
guy in a poor family to one of the most successful people in the world. With dedication, hard
work, and discipline, Ronaldo went from zero to a hero.
