 Symposium
DATE: 7 November,2019
VENUE: B107, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Eechnology
SOMIE organized a symposium for our students. This event was mainly for the pre
final year students so they can know about how to prepare for different rounds of
placement. Final year students who get placed in the top reputed companies gave their
experience about internships, aptitude and technical knowledge the students must have
before sitting in placements. They recommended the books and the online websites
that students can use for the preparation of aptitude test and technical interviews. The
c.g.p.a. students need to maintain in order to be eligible for the internships. Most
important part was the project semester that is in which students go for 6-month
industrial training that how we can improve our cgpa and we can focus more on our
technical knowledge in that time. They also told the first and second-year students the
subjects they need to focus more and to prepare for those that the company is
demanding.
It was fruitful for third, second- and first-year students of mechanical branch as now
they focus more on the aspects that are useful in getting a good job.
