About Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad is a leading industrial centre and the economic capital of Gujarat. Situated on the banks of river Sabarmati, Ahmedabad is known for its economic/industrial growth and its beautiful monuments of historical and archeological importance. The city has many places to visit, like the Science City, Akshardham Temple, Gandhi Ashram and many others. The weather at Ahmedabad is slightly warm in the month of April and hence the participants coming from other places are advised to consume adequate water to remain well-hydrated and guard against the heat. Adequate infrastructural arrangements will be made to combat the heat in the venue of the conference. Gujarat attracts several tourists to visit spots near Ahmedabad, like Nalsarovar Bird Sanctuary (80 kms.), Adalaj Vav (Step Well-20 kms.), Lothal which houses the remnants of the 4500- year old Harappan Civilization (85 kms.) and the Sun Temple at Modhera (99 kms.). Conference Theme
One of the age-old belief and hope of human kind over centuries has been that 'Tomorrow will bring new and better things'. There is a plethora of literature available today, physically and virtually which propagates the idea of how to create enabling mechanisms in an organization to fight the vagaries, challenges and complexities of the future and also to grab the opportunities as they get unfolded from the womb of the present.Tomorrow's business leaders have to be agile and able to incorporate all aspects of good decision making in an increasingly global and complex business environment. This is the core reason we believe that 'Managing for Tomorrow' is an area one needs to look at in a holistic way and in a wider perspective.
