Modal Verbs
odal verbs are auxiliary verbs that express necessity, possibility, permission, ability, or

other conditions. The primary modal verbs in English are: can, could, may, might, will,
would, shall, should, must, and ought to. Each of these modals can be used in different
contexts to convey specific meanings.
