Captain cook

Captain cook was born October 27, 1728, in Marton in Clevland United Kingdom

where he joined the British merchant navy as a teenager then later join the royal

navy in 1755. He would later lead his commission in 1768 as commander of HMS

endeavor for his first of his three voyages. The first voyage's purpose was to record

and observe the 1769 transit of Venus. He would deport august 26 1768 coo and his

crew would travel west from England across the pacific arriving at Tahiti on April 13,

1769, where they made the observations of transit however the observations were

not as conclusive or accurate as they wanted once the observations were complete

cook received additional instructions from the admiralty for the second part of his

voyage. To search for signs of terra australis in the south pacific. Cook then sailed

to New Zeeland where he mapped the coastline. Cook then voyaged west where he

reached the southeastern coast of Australia becoming the first recorded European

to encounter the eastern coastline. Continuing northwards along the coast charting

and naming landmarks. Cook and his crew would eventually land on silver beach

they would stay there for a week collecting resources and exploring. He would later

deport and continue northwards finally arriving at England on July 12 1771.

During cooks second voyage he almost encounter Antarctica mainland but returned

to England. On cooks last voyage he would head to Hawaii the leave then go back

to Hawaii and stabbed cook to death after he tried taking there king hostage.
