    ACTIVITY 1.

    2 AN OBSERVATION GUIDE FOR THE CLASSROOM VISIT


    Read the following statements carefully. Then write your observation report on the space provided.

    Describe the community or The school was located within a residential area where a lot of
    neighborhood where the stores are located right in front of the school. The community is
    school is found. quiet, and it can only get noisy when there is no sort of
    transportation near the school. There are also all sorts of things and
    foods that are just right in front of the school where parents and
    students can buy anything they want. I also think it was a good
    location because it was accessible, and students can walk freely
    without minding the transportation as it is far from the road.
    Describe the school The whole school, from my perspective, is small despite having
    campus. What colors do you many students. It has 3 buildings; the first building that was near
    see? What is the condition of the entrance grade consists of kindergarten to grade 2 students
    the buildings? only having 2 floors. Beside that building where the canteen,
    cafeteria, and library are located, I think it only has 3 floors. The last
    building has 5 floors, where on the first floor the principal office was
    located. The buildings are in good condition and are painted white
    and green. From what I can remember, it was also freshly painted
    last month. The whole school campus right now is full of Christmas
    decorations, and it was fun to look at because you can see that
    parents and teachers exert effort to make their rooms or buildings
    beautiful. There are also many plants that are maintained by the
    teachers, and the resources are all recyclable, especially a wheel
    where they painted it to look like a snowman or a flower. There are
    also chairs that were made from wheels. Overall, the school uses
    a lot of recyclable materials to lessen the waste. However, it has an
    abandoned playground right in front of the entrance.
    Pass by the offices. What The offices inside the school campus are typically very quiet and
    impression do you have of far from where the students are staying or doing classes. It has
    these offices? enough space for the staff, but I think they should have more big
    spaces as some of the things are taking up their tables. It looks
    messy as there are files of papers.
    Walk through the school From my perspective, the library is not properly maintained, or they
    halls, the library, the haven’t organized it because there are still many boxes at the back
    cafeteria. Look around and of the library. The cafeteria and canteen are well maintained and
    find out the other facilities have some chairs and tables for teachers to eat. The other facilities
    that the school has. are still good, as the non-teaching staff and parents aid are working
    hard to maintain them.
