OLIVER TWIST
Oliver Twist is a poor orphan boy born in a mean workhouse. He's always hungry and gets in
trouble for asking for more food. He's sent to work for a cruel man, so Oliver runs away to
London.
In London, he meets a boy called the Artful Dodger who takes him to an old man named Fagin.
Fagin teaches boys to steal. Oliver doesn't want to steal, but he's forced to. He's caught stealing
and a kind man, Mr. Brownlow, helps him. Oliver is happy, but Fagin and a bad man named
Bill Sikes take him back.
Fagin makes Oliver help rob a house. Things go wrong, and Oliver gets hurt. He's left alone,
but a nice family, the Maylies, find him and take care of him. He's safe and happy with them.
A kind woman called Nancy helps Oliver. She tells secrets about Fagin and Sikes. Bad things
happen to Nancy and Sikes because of this. Finally, people learn who Oliver really is. He has a
family and is rich! Oliver leaves the bad people and goes to live with his family. He's finally
safe and happy.
I liked Oliver Twist. It was sad sometimes, but it had a happy ending. The bad people were
scary, but the good people were very nice. I liked how Oliver never gave up, even when things
were bad. It was a good story about a boy who finds his family and a good home.
