Strategic Cold Outreach Templates & Training For

Freelance Email Marketers
The Best Way To Use These Templates
WATCH BEFORE USING THESE TEMPLATES

Inside this package, you’ll have a set of cold outreach templates that I and my
freelancing students have personally used to land 6-9 figure clients in
ecommerce, coaching, consulting, Saas, and in-person businesses.

They’re presented to you in a swipable, easy-to-copy, and fill-in-the-blank form

that literally anyone can use.

Here are a few suggestions so you can get the most out of them:

● Take time to watch the video training that’s accompanied with each
outreach template so you can hear me explain why and how to use them.
You also have a Bonus Training where I explain how to use several of
them.

● Think about WHY these templates work even more (I explain in the
videos) too, understand the framework and angles that make them work.

● Go a little off script - instead of swiping each template word-for-word, use

the framework and re-create each template in your own words so your
personality, opinion, and style comes out. This adds authenticity to your
messaging - and THAT is what will truly make you stand out.

**PRO TIP: One of the big reasons why cold outreachers fail is because they
tend to write the same things as their competitors. Instead of doing that, I invite
you to read each cold message you send outlouf and ask yourself: “Is this unique
and human enough?”

That question can make or break your message.

● Don’t be afraid to test out the messaging and WHERE you send the
messages - I have suggested Subject Lines if you choose to send these
messages via cold email. But feel free to ditch the Subject Lines and send
the messages on Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn.
My students grab these templates and use them everywhere to see which
platform works best for them.
Message 1.A - Honesty + Email Samples
WATCH THE TRAINING

===

This is a classic method that’s worked for years and is a popular one among
more experienced freelancers - and is one I learned while part of a high-level
mastermind for copywriters and offer owners.

This approach is a little upfront, by the way. Here, you’re straight up telling them
you want to work with them and would like to contact someone within the
company to see if there's any opportunity.

Sometimes, the most effective way of selling yourself is to simply ask.

You can also share writing samples that you wrote in the niche to give them a
little extra value and show off your writing chops.

====

Why it can work

Because you’re being direct and showing how you can help your lead, but you’re
also mentioning an authentic reason as to why you chose them.

No tricks. No sneaky tactics. All transparency and honesty

Just “Hey, this is what I do. I love your company because…Can I help you with
this?”

===

The message:

Hello [business owner]

I’ve been a fan of your business for some time, and I really love the work you’re
doing with [reasons you like them - this can be expanded as much as you’d like]

I wanted to reach out because I’d love to speak to your CMO or Hiring Director
about being part of your team.

I’ve written a few email samples selling your products in your industry and I’d
love to hear what you think. They’re attached to this email.

Feel free to test them out and see how they perform :)

Would your team be interested in working with a freelance [niche] email

copywriter who can [deliver ideal result]?

All the best,

Name
Message 1.B - Per Revenue Share
WATCH THIS TRAINING

===

Okay, so we’re getting a little sneaky here.

This is when you message a simple question to the brand asking them if they’re
still selling/taking members/enrolling people into a product or service.

The idea is to get their attention and a simple response to start a conversation.

Why it can work

It gets responses because the person reading your message will think you’re
either interested in the product or have an issue with it - but then we spin it
around into a sales convo.

It’s sneaky, but it’s effective.

=====

The Steps

1. Find the #1 thing they want the most

a. Sell a popular product
b. Get more people in a coaching program
c. Get more members in a membership

Your message:

“Hey [business owners], are you guys still selling [product]?

“Hey [business owner], are you still trying to get members for your [program]?
Their message:

“Yes, we are”

Your message:

Awesome! Thanks for replying. I was wondering if I could ask you a question? If
that’s alright.

Their Message:

If no - “thanks anyway then! Have a good day”

If yes - “I’m considering starting an email service where I help businesses selling
[product] (similar to yours) by handling the entire email system — and I only get
paid a percentage if I’m successful.

Would someone of your business’ caliber be open to something like this? I was
thinking of asking similar businesses if they’d be interested.

Their Message:

If no - “thanks anyway then! Have a good day”

If Yes - "That's encouraging. Feedback from a gentleman/woman/person of your

caliber means a lot. Thank you!

Would it make sense to share a bit about how it works?"

Message 1.C - Calling Out A Problem
WATCH THIS TRAINING

====

This is likely the most common type of cold outreach you’ll do and even see
today.

For a good reason too - because it works like a charm.

The goal of this style of outreach is to call out a possible issue that you can
improve. This takes a little finesse since you don’t want to come off as nosy,
giving off unwanted advice, or like you’re some “wannabe” expert that’s smarter
than them.

Be helpful, not a jerk.

Why it can work

You’re pointing out a potential sticking point, problem, or bottleneck stopping

them from making more money.

You then frame yourself as the solution that can solve the problem and help them
succeed.

====
The Steps

1. Personalized subject line/first message

2. Body
1. personalized snippet
2. Call out a problem
3. Tell them how you can help solve it (share samples)
4. Social proof/credibility
5. BONUS: loom video
6. CTA (are you interested? Let me know what you think? Book a call?
Have you tried that before?

Message:

Hi [Name], I know this is random but I discovered that [PROBLEM] and I [YOUR
SUGGESTED SOLUTION].

I know you don’t know me but I’ve worked with [SOME REFERENCES].
(OPTIONAL)

I’d love to share with you my work and send a few suggestions you can
implement so you can [BENEFIT].

Would you be interested in that?

With my experience in [NICHE], I’m positive we could work together to boost your
revenue and [IDEAL OUTCOME].

Message 1.D - Super Personalize
Outreach
====

WATCH THIS TRAINING

This style takes a little research but is likely one of the most effective styles you’ll
find in this doc.

It’s a slight blend of several of the styles shared above, but can be modified and
tested to fit your style and what works for you.

Why it can work

Personalization is powerful.

The more you add custom messaging in your outreach, the more likely you’ll get
a response.

No one wants to feel like they’re getting “blanket messaged” and getting the
same text as countless others. Leads and clients want to feel as if you took time
to do your research and show you care about creating a partnership.

====

Subject line: Hey [first name/business name], can we talk?

Body:

Hey there [NAME],

You don’t know me, but I’m [YOUR NAME] :) A [YOUR PROFESSION].

I just came across [BRAND NAME] and I think what you guys do is [POSITIVE
ADJECTIVE].
[EXPAND A BIT MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU LIKED ABOUT THEM AND HOW
YOU RELATE TO THE BRAND].

I first heard of [BRAND NAME] from [SOCIAL MEDIA/ FRIEND] and I thought
[YOUR IMPRESSION].

I personally love [SOMETHING THAT STANDS OUT ABOUT THE BRAND] –

awesome idea!

I’m not sure if you’re currently looking for an email expert to be part of your team,
but I’d love to work with a company like yours.

I have [RELEVANT EXPERIENCE] .

A little bit about myself:

[MORE ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE IN BULLETS]

Hope to hear from you soon,

BONUS:
Message 1.E - Work for a testimonial?
WATCH THIS TRAINING

=====

This template was made for people who are open to working with a company in
exchange for a testimonial.

It’s a little longer than the templates above, but a little context and explanation
goes a long way - especially when you’re new.
Why it can work

Transparency and a low-risk offer.

You’re not asking to work with them immediately and get paid thousands…yet.

You’re simply asking to get access to their email system and give them a few
suggestions.

You’re getting your foot in the door and “baby stepping” your way to a bigger
deal.

====

Subject line: Hey [first name/business name], can we talk?

This is a bit embarrassing but I’m just gonna come out and say it...I want to
work for you, (PROSPECT-NAME)...

For free.

I know you don’t know me, but I’m an Email Marketer looking to work with
[NICHE] - but I don’t have any ‘real world’ experience...yet.

I’m currently learning from an experienced email marketer who has sold over
$15M in online sales - and I’m so enthusiastic and ready to help a business that
my excitement is hard to contain haha

To be honest, I’m looking for my first ever client and I’d love for that to be you.

The reason why is because [REASON WHY YOU WANT TO WORK WITH
THEM - this can because you love their messaging, mission, their testimonials,
and literally anything that makes working with them exciting for you - BE
AUTHENTIC].

Hence this message today.

Here’s how we can get started:

- I can put together a simple audit for you - giving you 1-3 easy-to-implement
suggestions to help you make more money from your email list as early as the
day you use the strategies.

- I’ll do it for $0

- Not exactly for free, but in exchange for my efforts, all I ask for is a shining 5
star testimonial that I can share on social media.

…but only if you’re satisfied with my suggestions and think they were of value to
you.

If you’re at all interested, hit reply - and make my day. :-)

Have an absolutely wonderful day,

{YOUR-NAME}

P.S. Just to be transparent, my goal is to make you money with ZERO risk on
your part...and work together more in the future.

I want to set-up a win-win deal where I help you achieve [YOUR BIG TANGIBLE
GOAL FOR THE COMPANY].

I want us to win together.
