Course Name: WELDING & FABRICATION
Introduction:
This course is designed to covers the knowledge, skill and attitude required for welding in
different industrial sector.. This course has three competencies such as Basic, Common and
Core competencies. The core competency covers skills and attitudes required to Perform Arc
Welding, Arc cutting.Oxy-Acetylene gas Welding & cutting, Metal Inert Gas (MIG)
Welding &Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) Welding .
Objectives:
1. To develop skill manpower
2. To develop socio-economic condition of the people

4. To earn foreign currency
5. To provide basic knowledge, skills & attitude on welding & fabrication.
6. To develop skills to perform arc welding & cutting,oxy-acetylene gas welding &
cutting, metal inert gas (MIG) & tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding
