UNIT 30: ADJECTIVES

Adjectives:
 We use adjectives to describe someone or something. Adjectives usually
come before the noun they describe, or after verbs like be, feel, look, smell,
sound, taste…
Example: I bought a new hat yesterday.
You look tired.
 We normally put adjectives before nouns.
Example: a pretty girl
a nice dress
 Adjectives don’t change with plural nouns.
Example: I’ve got new trousers.
We change a to an before an adjective that starts with a vowel.
Example: a man -> an old man
