Ali the pieces have been carefully arranged and written to sit
comfortably under the hands of the young pianist and are suitable for all
players of approximately Grade l to Grade 2 standard.

CAROL BARRATT is an established world leader in piano

education for young people. She studied at the Royal
College of Music winning scholarships in composition, and
has written music for many different instruments as well as
her famous Chester piano tutor and repertoire books.

Her compositions range from children's songs (Animal Songs,

Pigg/ety Pop!) and Briarwood Suite for violin and piano to her
Magnificat and Nunc Dlmiffls which had its world premiere
at St Paul's Cathedra!.

Since the huge success of the Chester Piano Books - with

their unique blend of superb musicianship and the
entertaining adventures of Chester the Frog - Carol has
toured extensively, giving workshops and lectures throughout
Britain and the USA, and also receiving a warm welcome in
Australia and the Far East.
