A. Activate Prior Knowledge Today, we will going to learn about Neoclassical Period.

The two artworks below are examples of neoclassic paintings. Stude the
paintings carefully and list down the most striking features of the paintings
based on your observations.

D. Making Generalization  The period of renewed interest for classical antiquity is known as
the Age of Neoclassicism.
 Neoclassicism is generally characterized by subtlety and simplicity,
as well as the emphatic employment of classical forms to express
a reasoned enlightenment of the age.
 Among the most well-known neoclassical artists are Jacques-
Louis David, Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres, Antonio Canova,
Bertel Thorvaldsen, Jean- Antoine Houdon, Jacques- Germain
Soufflot, Carl Gotthard Langhans, and Robert Adam.
 Some of the most notable paintings of the neoclassical period are
the Oath of the Horatii, The Three Graces, The Coronation of
Napoleon, and The Intervention of the Sabine Women.
IV. EVALUATING LEARNING: FORMATIVE ASSESSMEMENT AND TEACHER’S REFLECTION
Conduct a research on the famous artworks of the following artists. List
down their art creations in the space provided below.
