I.OBJECTIVES At the end of the lesson the learners are expected


to:
a. identify the different the elements of arts
present in the various art movements;
b. appreciate the different the elements of
arts; and
c. create their own artwork by applying the
elements of arts based on the example of
arts.
A. Content Standards art elements and processes by synthesizing and
applying prior learnings and skills
B. Performance Standards recognizes the difference and uniqueness of the art
styles of the various art movements (techniques,
processes, elements, and principles of art).
C. Most Essential Learning Analyze art elements and principles in the
Competencies (MELC) production of work following a specific art style from
the various art movements (A10EL-Ib-1)

IV. PROCEDURES
A. Introduction What I need to know

 In this part, learners will take note of the gist


of the lesson. Do you know that there were
several areas in which impressionist artists
moved away from the established practices
of art at that time?
 These involved their use of color,
choice of subject matter and setting,
and technique for capturing light and
conveying movement.

What’s new?

 Using the given artwork of Vincent Van


Gogh Starry Night, the learners will analyze
the image at the center, then answer
the questions provided in each quadrant
which will be answered in their
notebook.

 The learner’ answers will be reflected in their


notebook
B. Development What I know?
 Activity B
On the next page of the module,
the learners will now assess what
they know about the Elements of
Arts. Using a grid, they will find
and circle all the elements of
arts that are hidden. The words
may be hidden in any direction.

What’s in?
 Learners will become enlightened that
Art can be seen in all aspect of life. It is
everywhere. It can be seen in the
surroundings. The popular feeling
about art is that it exists only in concert
halls, museums, and art galleries in a
world by itself, which are accessible
only to those who can afford to pay
for its enjoyment or to the critics and
scholars who take time to study the art
and objects of the art.
 Let the learners name popular painters
and their artworks
 The teacher will introduce the topic
Elements of Art.
 The teacher is also tasked to show pictures
of each element allowing the learners to
familiarized with it.

What is it?
 Let the learners describe Elements based on
how they have understood the lesson.

C. Engagement What’s more?


 Using the lesson taught the learners will now
elicit their talent in creating an artwork
guided by these procedures

 1. Look around and observe the people


around you: your friends, your family and
your neighbor or the nature.
 2. Describe them through a drawing or
painting applying the principles of design
based on what you see in their faces or
actions as they exercise the freedom of
expression in their daily lives.
 3. Do this in an Oslo paper. You may use
crayons, color pastel, water color, acrylic
paint or any available resources that you
have.
What I can do?
 At this part, the learners will write a reflection
paper, explaining this sentence; Create
something beautiful and useful artwork to
make your life more meaningful by applying
the different Elements of Arts that you have
learned in relation to the talent that God has
given you.

D. Assimilation What I have learned?


 In this part, the learners will evaluate the
given designs trying to see what elements of
art are applied. Their answers will be written
in their notebook (Activity 2)
 The learners will identify the elements of art
that is described. They will write their answers
in their test notebook. (Assessment 2)

 At this part, Analyze the sample arts below.
Identify what elements of art is applied.
