DAILY PRAYER FOR THE COUNTING OF THE OMER
Blessed are You, A-d-noy, our G-d, King of the universe, Who has sanctified us
with His commandments and has commanded us concerning the counting of the
Omer.
For example: Today is 22 days, which are 3 weeks and 1 day of the Omer.
The Merciful One, may He return to us the service of the Temple to its place,
speedily in our days. Amen, Selah!
IN YESHUA’S NAME

INTRODUCTION
The omer refers to the forty-nine day period between the second night of Passover (Pesach)
and the holiday of Shavuot. This period marks the beginning of the barley harvest when, in
ancient times, Jews would bring the first sheaves to the Temple as a means of thanking God for
the harvest. The word omer literally means "sheaf" and refers to these early offerings.
The Torah itself dictates the counting of the seven weeks following Pesach:
"You shall count from the eve of the second day of Pesach, when an omer of grain is to be
brought as an offering, seven complete weeks. The day after the seventh week of your counting
will make fifty days, and you shall present a new meal offering to God (Leviticus 23:15-16)."
In its biblical context, this counting appears only to connect the first grain offering to the
offering made at the peak of the harvest. As the holiday of Shavuot became associated with
the giving of the Torah, and not only with a celebration of agricultural bounty, the omer period
began to symbolize the thematic link between Peach and Shavuot.
While Pesach celebrates the initial liberation of the Jewish people from slavery in Egypt,
Shavuot marks the culmination of the process of liberation, when the Jews became an
autonomous community with their own laws and standards. Counting up to Shavuot reminds us of
this process of moving from a slave mentality to a more liberated one.
The Rabinical counting of the omer begins on the second night of Pesach. Jews in the Diaspora
generally integrate this counting into the second seder. The biblical counting starts at the first
Shabbat after Pesach.
The omer is counted each evening after sundown. The counting of the omer is generally
appended to the end of Ma'ariv (the evening service), as well.

As Messianic Believers our thoughts should be on Yeshua daily and the counting of the Omer is
a time to reflect on our relationship with Him and prepare our hearts for The Feast Of
Shavuot.
The Daily Devotional is meant for just that, a tool to search our hearts. It is not meant to

Yeshua is the CENTER of all we do in this ministry and our only desire is to bring glory to Him.
49 DAYS TO SHAVUOT!
As the counting of the Omer beginss till Shavuot, it is a time to Exam Ourselves....Yeshua told
the disciples to wait in Jerusalem for the Ruach HaKodesh. During this waiting time, they were
not just sitting around twiddling their thumbs, they were counting the Omer, examining their
lives in preparation to receiving the gift of the Ruach Ha Kodesh on Shavuot that Yeshua
promised them would come.
John 13:16-17
16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper,
Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever-
17 The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it
does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with
you [constantly] and will be in you.

Acts 1:1-11
1 1 Dear Theophilos:
In the first book, I wrote about everything Yeshua set out to do and teach, 2 until the day
when, after giving instructions through the Ruach HaKodesh to the emissaries whom he had
chosen, he was taken up into heaven.
3 After his death he showed himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was
alive. During a period of forty days they saw him, and he spoke with them about the Kingdom of
God.
4 At one of these gatherings, he instructed them not to leave Yerushalayim but to wait for
"what the Father promised, which you heard about from me. 5 For Yochanan used to immerse
people in water; but in a few days, you will be immersed in the Ruach HaKodesh!"
6 When they were together, they asked him, "Lord, are you at this time going to restore self-
rule to Israel?" 7 He answered, "You don't need to know the dates or the times; the Father has
kept these under his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Ruach HaKodesh
comes upon you; you will be my witnesses both in Yerushalayim and in all Y'hudah and Shomron,
indeed to the ends of the earth!"
9 After saying this, he was taken up before their eyes; and a cloud hid him from their sight. 10
As they were staring into the sky after him, suddenly they saw two men dressed in white
standing next to them. 11 The men said, "You Galileans! Why are you standing, staring into
5
space? This Yeshua, who has been taken away from you into heaven, will come back to you in just

After the Children of Israel left Egypt, 49 days passed before they received the Ten
Commandments at Mount Sinai. Tradition teaches that each of these days was necessary for
the Children of Israel to refine themselves and be worthy of this gift. On each day they
examined and corrected another of their inner traits and qualities. There were 49 in all.
These forty nine traits were comprised of seven basic attributes. Each of the seven contained
all of the other seven, thus comprising forty nine.
Jewish sources tell us that the soul of man includes these seven Basic Attributes:
* Love/Kindness (Chessed)
* Vigor/Discipline (Gevurah)
* Beauty/Harmony/Compassion (Tiferet)
* Victory/Endurance/Determination (Netzach)
* Humility/Devotion (Hod)
* Foundation/Bonding/Connection (Yesod)
* Majesty/Dignity (Malchut)
As we fulfill the mitzvah of counting the days and weeks from Passover to Shavuot, each of the
seven weeks is devoted to a different attribute -- one week for Kindness, another week for
Discipline, another for Compassion, etc. On each of the seven days of the week we refine
another of the seven aspects of the week's attribute. For example, on the week devoted to
kindness we will devote one day to refining that aspect of kindness that requires discipline and
another day to refining that aspect of kindness that requires compassion, and so forth. During
the week we are refining beauty, we spend one day refining that aspect of beauty that requires
dignity and another day on that aspect of beauty that requires humility, until we have refined
all seven aspects of beauty.
Ultimately, all character traits derive from combinations of these seven basic ones. Each quality
continually interacts with the others, and in so doing has the capacity to modify its expression
and effect. To be whole, a character trait must incorporate all seven; a lack or overabundance
6
of even one of the seven renders it corrupt and, in some cases, damaging. Discipline, for
Page
example, can easily become cruelty with but a slight exaggeration.

The Virtures spoken about above are also found in the Brit HaDasha, these same virtues were
spoken about in 1 Peter and Galatians and 1 Corinthians 13
Galatians 5:22-26
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23
humility, self control. Nothing in the Torah stands against such things.
24 Moreover, those who belong to the Messiah Yeshua have put their old nature to death on
the stake, along with its passions and desires. 25 Since it is through the Spirit that we have
Life, let it also be through the Spirit that we order our lives day by day.
26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.[3]
11 Peter 1:1-11
1 1 From: Shim'on Kefa, a slave and emissary of Yeshua the Messiah
To: Those who, through the righteousness of our God and of our Deliverer Yeshua the Messiah,
have been given the same kind of trust as ours:
2 May grace and shalom be yours in full measure, as you come to a full knowledge of God and
Yeshua our Lord.
3 God's power has given us everything we need for life and godliness, through our knowing the
One who called us to his own glory and goodness. 4 By these he has given us valuable and
superlatively great promises, so that through them you might come to share in God's nature and
escape the corruption which evil desires have brought into the world.
5 For this very reason, try your hardest to furnish your faith with goodness, goodness with
knowledge, 6 knowledge with self-control, self-control with perseverance, perseverance with
godliness, 7 godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. 8 For if you
have these qualities in abundance, they keep you from being barren and unfruitful in the
knowledge of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah. 9 Indeed, whoever lacks them is blind, so
shortsighted that he forgets that his past sins have been washed away. 10 Therefore, brothers,
try even harder to make your being called and chosen a certainty. For if you keep doing this, you
will never stumble. 11 Thus you will be generously supplied with everything you need to enter the
eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Deliverer, Yeshua the Messiah.[4]
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
4 Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is
not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.
5 It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does
7
not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for
Page
it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil
done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].
6 It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth
prevail.
7 Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of
every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without
weakening].
8 Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end]. As for prophecy
(the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), it will be fulfilled and pass away; as for
tongues, they will be destroyed and cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away [it will lose its
value and be superseded by truth].[5]
The Ruach HaKodesh/The Holy Spirit Will only reside in clean holy vessels. This is the time
where we need to exam ourselves and prepare ourselves to be filled or refilled by the Ruach
HaKodesh.
Jer 18:2 Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my
words.
Jer 18:3 Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the
wheels.
Jer 18:4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made
it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.
Jer 18:5 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
Jer 18:6 O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the
clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.
When the talmidim were waiting for the promise of the father and preparing themselves to
receive the Ruach HaKodesh, they were also preparing themselves to receive the Torah in their
hearts, just as the children of Israel received the Torah at Mt. Sinai. They were preparing to
become Temples of the Ruach HaKodesh and receiving the power of Messiah in their lives to be
witness to the World of Messiahs love.
Adonai, you are the potter I am the clay. Mold me into a vessel of honor for your kingdom and
for your glory in Yeshua's name I pray. Amein

YHWH/G-d is looking for FRUIT to abound in our lives.
Galatians 5:22
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23
humility, self control. Nothing in the Torah stands against such things.[3]
Ephesians 5:9
9 For the fruit (the effect, the product) of the Light or the Spirit [consists] in every form
of kindly goodness, uprightness of heart, and trueness of life.[4]
Psalm 92:12-14
Matthew 13:23
23 As for what was sown on good soil, this is he who hears the Word and grasps and
comprehends it; he indeed bears fruit and yields in one case a hundred times as much as was
sown, in another sixty times as much, and in another thirty.[6]
John 15:1-8
5 I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant)
Page
fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.
6 If a person does not dwell in Me, he is thrown out like a [broken-off] branch, and withers;
such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live
in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.
8 When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you
show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine.[7]
John 15:16
16 You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you [I have planted
you], that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting
[that it may remain, abide], so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name [as presenting all
that I AM], He may give it to you.[8]
We are to produce fruit in our lives for the glory of Yahweh. So.....How's Your Fruit Growing?
An unhealthy, under-nourished tree produces bad fruit, rotten fruit. A tree that is healthy and
full of life produces beautiful, sweet, luscious fruit that brings nourishment and joy to others.
Have you ever had a bad piece of fruit? You bit into it and it is sour, or bland or even worse a
worm or bugs are in it? ICK!!!
But what a difference when you eat fruit that is not only beautiful on the outside, but sweet
and juicy on the inside!
What kind of fruit are others seeing in our lives. What kind of fruit do you want others to see?
The fruit of the Ruach Ha Kodesh is the manifestation of the life of Messiah working in our
lives. It is the nature of G-d Himself, for the Ruach HaKodesh is G-d, it is His Ruach HaKodesh
living within the believer wanting to manifest Himself in our lives for others to see.
This takes work, it takes study, it takes putting into practice the Torah/Word in our lives, it
takes daily prayer and communion with the Father, it takes sitting at the feet of Yeshua daily
for fruit to grow in our lives and it doesn't happen over night.
#1. of the fruit of trees, fields, the earth, that which is produced by the inherent energy of a
living organism.
#2. of works or deeds, fruit being the visible expression of power working inwardly and
invisibly. The character of the fruit being evidence of the character of the power producing it.
It is the invisible power of the Holy Spirit/Ruach Ha Kodesh in those who are brought into living
union with Christ/Messiah, produces the fruit of the Spirit.
John 15:5 says "Abide in me and I in you so shall ye bring forth much fruit"
"Chirst/Messiah within us can accomplish what we can never hope to do in our own strength and
that continuous walking with Him will change the weakest of us into His image"
"The fruits are our supernatural disposition that abides within us after we are saved and are
not hindered by selfishness. The fruits are totally unselfish and all are attributes of God."
11

#2. PATIENCE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS - They bring about good fellowship and relationships
with people
The fruit of the Spirit/Ruach is the Life of Yahweh flowing out of you.
Psalm 1:1-3
The man who walks in the fruits of the ruach hakodesh
1 How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
3 He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season
And its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers.
Father In The Name of Yahshua, help me to produce the kind of fruit in my life that will make
people hungry for Your Ways and Your Truth and Messiah Yeshua!
As we continue to count the Omer we will focus on the fruit and character traits YHWH wants
to see in our lives.....Our example is Yeshua!

Week 1 Attribute 1 - Love/Ahava And Kindess/Chesed
1 Corinthians 13:4-8, 13
4 Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is
not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.
5 It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does
not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for
it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil
done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].
(the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), it will be fulfilled and pass away; as for
tongues, they will be destroyed and cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away [it will lose its
value and be superseded by truth].[4]
13 And so faith, hope, love abide [faith-conviction and belief respecting man's relation to God
and divine things; hope-joyful and confident expectation of eternal salvation; love-true
affection for God and man, growing out of God's love for and in us], these three; but the
greatest of these is love.[5]
Three things last: trust, hope, love. The formula of "three great things" is common in Jewish
literature. The same three appear in Colossians 1:4-5. Compare Micah 6:8, and this example
from the Mishna:
"Rabban Shim'on ben-Gamli'el said, 'The world is sustained by three things: judgment, truth
and peace, as it is said, "Execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates" (Zechariah
8:16).' " (Avot 1:18)
This is the kind of love that the early Congregation of Messiah lived and walked. Yeshua our
Messiah is the perfect example of Love. He was Love manifest in the Flesh.
Love is the foundation or the Root of which all the other fruit receive their nourishment from .
13
Love is the foundation of the 9 spiritual fruits and Yeshua is the Vine from which we receive

it is said, 'The Lord, the Lord, a God full of compassion and gracious, slow to anger, and
plenteous in mercy and truth" (Exod.xxxiv.6_) and it is said, "whosover shall be called by (sic)
the name of the Lord shall be delivered: (Joel ii 32). But how is it possible for a man to be
called by the name of the Holy One, blessed be He? As the All-present is called compassionate

Holy One, blessed be He, is called righteous (Ps cxlv,17), be you also righteous; as He is called

As we count the Omer to Shavuot, ask YHWH/G-d to manifest His fruit in a greater way then

Mark 12:31
30 And you shall love the Lord your God out of and with your whole heart and out of and with
all your soul (your life) and out of and with all your mind (with your faculty of thought and your
moral understanding) and out of and with all your strength. This is the first and principal
commandment. [Deut. 6:4, 5].
31 The second is like it and is this, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other
commandment greater than these. [Lev. 19:18].[3]
R. Akiba said of the command, "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself (Lev xix 18), that it was
'a fundamental principle of the Torah'. His colleague, Ben Azzai, cited as a principle of still
greater importance, 'This book of the generations of Adam.....in the likeness of God made He
him.' (Gen v.1) (Sifra as loc.) Universal love is here proclaimed not merely as the ideal
advocated in the Torah but as the only true standard of human relationship. While the first
Rabbi referred to the explicit commandment, the second teacher based the ideal on the
doctrine that all human beings are descended from one ancestor and are therefore bound
together by the kinship of a common origin, and also that they share one inestimable privilege,
viz. of having been created in the divine likeness. 'With a solemn warning was the declaration
made, "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself". I (God) created him; and if you love him, I am
faithful to repay you a good reward; but if you do not love him, I am the Judge to exact a
penalty."
Another expression of the same idea is the following: "What message did the Torah bring to
Israel?" Take upon yourselves the yoke of the kingdom of heaven, vie one with the other in the
fear of God and practice loving deeds towards one another" (Sifre' Deut. 323;138b)
Matthew 5:43-44

Galatians 5:13-16
13 For you, brethren, were [indeed] called to freedom; only [do not let your] freedom be an
incentive to your flesh and an opportunity or excuse [for selfishness], but through love you
should serve one another.
14 For the whole Law [concerning human relationships] is complied with in the one precept, You
shall love your neighbor as [you do] yourself. [Lev. 19:18].
15 But if you bite and devour one another [in partisan strife], be careful that you [and your
whole fellowship] are not consumed by one another.
16 But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and
guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh
(of human nature without God).[10]
Help me today to be the servant you want me to be, and purge me from the works of the flesh
that I might serve my brothers and sisters In Messiah.

Help me to today to walk in the foosteps of my Master Yeshua. I know my spirit is willing, but
my flesh is weak. Help me to walk in the power of your Ruach Ha Kodesh that I might be a doer
of the Torah/Word and not a hearer only.

Week 1 Attribute 1 - Love/Ahava And Kindess/Chesed
1 Corinthians 13:1-14
I may speak in the tongues of men, even angels; but if I lack love, I have become merely
blaring brass or a cymbal clanging.
I may have the gift of prophecy, I may fathom all mysteries, know all things, have all
faith - enough to move mountains; but if I lack love, I am nothing.
I may give away everything that I own, I may even hand over my body to be burned; but
if I lack love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient and kind, not jealous, not boastful, not proud, rude or selfish, not easily
angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not gloat over other people's sins but takes its delight in the truth.
Love always bears up, always trusts, always hopes, always endures.
Love never ends; but prophecies will pass, tongues will cease, knowledge will pass. For
our knowledge is partial, and our prophecy partial; but when the perfect comes, the
partial will pass.
When I was a child, I spoke like a child, thought like a child, argued like a child; now
that I have become a man, I have finished with childish ways.
For now we see obscurely in a mirror, but then it will be face to face. Now I know partly;
then I will know fully, just as God has fully known me.
1Co 13:13
But for now, three things last - trust, hope, love; and the greatest of these is love.

YHWH/G-d is the Same Yesterday, Today and Forever! Yeshua is His Love Gift To The World.
Joh 3:16
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only and unique Son, so that everyone who
trusts in him may have eternal life, instead of being utterly destroyed.
Joh 15:8
This is how my Father is glorified - in your bearing much fruit; this is how you will
prove to be my talmidim.
Joh 15:9
"Just as my Father has loved me, I too have loved you; so stay in my love.
Joh 15:10
If you keep my commands, you will stay in my love - just as I have kept my Father's
commands and stay in his love.
Joh 15:11
I have said this to you so that my joy may be in you, and your joy be complete.
Joh 15:12
"This is my command: that you keep on loving each other just as I have loved you.
Joh 15:13
No one has greater love than a person who lays down his life for his friends.

**ABOUT THE TRANSLATOR David H. Stern was born in Los Angeles in 1935, the
great-grandson of two of the city's first twenty Jews. He earned a Ph.D. in
economics at Princeton University and was a professor at UCLA, mountain-climber,
co-author of a book on surfing, and owner of health-food stores. In 1972, he came
to believe in Yeshua as the Messiah, after which he received a Master of Divinity
degree at Fuller Theological Seminary and did graduate work at the University of
Judaism. Dr. Stern taught Fuller Theological Seminary's first course in "Judaism
and Christianity," organized Messianic Jewish conferences and leaders' meetings,
and was an officer of the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America. Dr. Stern is the
author of Messianic Jewish Manifesto, which outlines the destiny, identity,
history, theology and program of today's Messianic Jewish movement. He also
wrote Restoring the Jewishness of the Gospel: A Message for Christians. It
consists of excerpts from the former book selected for Christians to whom the
Jewishness of the Gospel is an unfamiliar idea. His Jewish New Testament, which
has been incorporated into the Complete Jewish Bible, is the basis for its
companion volume, the Jewish New Testament Commentary. This book discusses
Jewish issues raised in the New Testament -- questions Jews have about Yeshua,
the New Testament and Christianity; questions Christians have about Judaism and
the Jewish roots their faith; and questions Messianic Jews have about their own
identity and role.

People all over the world are discovering the beauty of His Torah and are repenting/Teshuvah

Heb 12:7 It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is

Heb 12:8 But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are

Heb 12:9 Furthermore, we had earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we

Heb 12:10 For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us
for our good, so that we may share His holiness.
Heb 12:11 All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who

Week 2 /Attribute 2 - Vigor/Discipline (Gevurah)
"For I am the Lord your God. Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am holy. And
you shall not make yourselves unclean with any of the swarming things that swarm on the earth.
For I am the Lord who brought you up from the land of Egypt to be your God; thus you shall be
holy, for I am holy" (Leviticus 11:44-45).
"Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the
grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Yeshua the Messiah. As obedient children, do
not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, but like the Holy One
who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written, 'You shall be
holy, for I am holy'" (1 Peter 4:13-16).
Are we vigorously pursuing His Ways, His Holiness? Are we walking in the Discipline and
admonition of YHVH by being obedient and forsaking the former way of life that we walked in?
Or our we holding tightly to the traditions of men vs YHVW/G-ds Ways.
In Revelation 2 & 3 Yeshua is calling His Body to Repentance. Do some of these rebukes apply
to us? Do we have ears to hear what He is saying or have we hardened our hearts to the truth
of Yeshua Ha Mashiach.
These same words He is speaking through His Ruach HaKodesh to the Believing Community
today. As we look at these Communities that Yeshua loved, yet corrected & disciplined, do we
see ourselves? Do we have ears to hear what He is saying?
During this time of counting the days until Shavuot let His Ruach HaKodesh do His work in your
life. He is calling us to Repent! Notice He is speaking to Believers in the following verses. It is
time to do some house cleaning. He is starting to seperate the wheat from the chaff.
People are crying out for Revival, what they need is to be Restored or Restoration back to His
Ways and His Truth.
30
The true Revival The Church has been crying out for is happening all around the World right
under their noses but they can not see....It is a return to His Ways and His Truth, His Times
and His Seasons, His Cycles of Righteousness, His Torah through His Son Our Messiah
Yeshua! It is a return to our Hebraic Heritage In Messiah!
Restoration
RESTORA'TION, n. [L. restauro.]
1. The act of replacing in a former state.
2. Renewal; revival; re-establishment; 3. Recovery; renewal of health and soundness; as
restoration from sickness or from insanity.
4. Recovery from a lapse or any bad state; as the restoration of man from apostasy.
5. In theology, universal restoration, the final recovery of all men from sin and alienation from
God, to a state of happiness; universal salvation.
Rev 2:3 You are persevering, and you have suffered for my sake without growing weary.
Rev 2:4 But I have this against you: you have lost the love you had at first.
Rev 2:10 Don't be afraid of what you are about to suffer. Look, the Adversary is going to have
some of you thrown in prison, in order to put you to the test; and you will face an ordeal for ten
days. Remain faithful, even to the point of death; and I will give you life as your crown.
Rev 2:11 Those who have ears, let them hear what the Spirit is saying to the Messianic
communities. He who wins the victory will not be hurt at all by the second death." '
Rev 2:14 Nevertheless, I have a few things against you: you have some people who hold to the
teaching of Bil`am, who taught Balak to set a trap for the people of Isra'el, so that they would
eat food that had been sacrificed to idols and commit sexual sin.
Rev 2:15 Likewise, you too have people who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans.
31
Rev 2:16 Therefore, turn from these sins. Otherwise, I will come to you very soon and make war
against them with the sword of my mouth.
Page
Rev 2:17 Those who have ears, let them hear what the Spirit is saying to the Messianic
communities. To him winning the victory I will give some of the hidden man. I will also give him a
white stone, on which is written a new name that nobody knows except the one receiving it." '
Rev 2:19 I know what you are doing, your love, trust, service and perseverance. And I know that
you are doing more now than before.
Rev 2:20 But I have this against you: you continue to tolerate that Izevel woman, the one who
claims to be a prophet, but is teaching and deceiving my servants to commit sexual sin and eat
food that has been sacrificed to idols.
Here is the message from the one who has the sevenfold Spirit of God and the seven stars: "I
know what you are doing - you have a reputation for being alive, but in fact you are dead!
Rev 3:2 Wake up, and strengthen what remains, before it dies too! For I have found what you
are doing incomplete in the sight of my God.
Rev 3:3 So remember what you received and heard, and obey it, and turn from your sin! For if
you don't wake up, I will come like a thief; and you don't know at what moment I will come upon
you.
Rev 3:8 "I know what you are doing. Look, I have put in front of you an open door, and no one can
shut it. I know that you have but little power, yet you have obeyed my message and have not
disowned me.
Rev 3:10 Because you did obey my message about persevering, I will keep you from the time of
trial coming upon the whole world to put the people living on earth to the test.
This is the type of Messianic Community Yeshua approved of! They loved Yeshua and obeyed
His Torah! They persevered but did not compromise His Commandments! They did not deny the
truth just so they could be excepted by the world or those who reject Messiah and His Torah.
They held fast and kept the Torah and Faith In Yeshua. This is the Messianic Community that
He promised "to keep from the time of trial coming upon the whole world" Selah!
Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments
32
Rev 3:15 "I know what you are doing: you are neither cold nor hot. How I wish you were either
one or the other!
Rev 3:16 So, because you are lukewarm, neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of my mouth!
Rev 3:17 For you keep saying, 'I am rich, I have gotten rich, I don't need a thing!' You don't
know that you are the one who is wretched, pitiable, poor, blind and naked!
Rev 3:19 As for me, I rebuke and discipline everyone I love; so exert yourselves, and turn from
your sins!
Rev 3:20 Here, I'm standing at the door, knocking. If someone hears my voice and opens the
door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he will eat with me.
Rev 3:21 I will let him who wins the victory sit with me on my throne, just as I myself also won
the victory and sat down with my Father on his throne.
Rev 3:22 Those who have ears, let them hear what the Spirit is saying to the Messianic
communities." ' "
Write down what the Ruach HaKodesh Is Saying To You Today, Repent where you need to
repent an obey what He is telling you in His Word to do.

Neh 13:23 Also during this time I saw the Judeans who had married women from Ashdod,
`Amon and Mo'av;
Neh 13:24 and their children, who spoke half in the language of Ashdod and couldn't speak in
the language the Judeans spoke but only in the language of each people.
Neh 13:25 I disputed with them and cursed them, and I beat some of them up and pulled out
their hair. Then I made them swear by God, "You will not give your daughters as wives for their
sons or take their daughters as wives for your sons or for yourselves.
Neh 13:26 Wasn't it by doing these things that Shlomo king of Isra'el sinned? There was no
king like him among many nations, and his God loved him, and God made him king over all Isra'el;
nevertheless the foreign women caused even him to sin.
Neh 13:27 Are we to give in to you and let you continue in this very great evil, breaking faith
with our God by marrying foreign women?"
Neh 13:28 One of the sons of Yoyada the son of Elyashiv, the cohen hagadol, had become son-
in-law to Sanvalat the Horoni; so I drove him out of my presence.
Neh 13:29 My God, remember them; because they have defiled the office of cohen and the
covenant of the cohanim and L'vi'im.
Neh 13:30 Thus I cleansed them of everything foreign, and I had the cohanim and L'vi'im
resume their duties, each one in his appointed task.
Neh 13:31 I also made provision for the delivery of wood at stated times, and for the
firstfruits. My God, remember me favorably.
2Co 6:14 Do not yoke yourselves together in a team with unbelievers. For how can
righteousness and lawlessness be partners? What fellowship does light have with darkness?
2Co 6:15 What harmony can there be between the Messiah and B'liya`al? What does a believer
have in common with an unbeliever?
2Co 6:16 What agreement can there be between the temple of God and idols? For we are the
temple of the living God - as God said, "I will house myself in them, . . . and I will walk among
34
2Co 6:17 Therefore Adonai says, " 'Go out from their midst; separate yourselves; don't even
touch what is unclean. Then I myself will receive you. 2Co 6:18 In fact, I will be your Father,
and you will be my sons and daughters.' says Adonai-Tzva'ot."
We are currently doing a study on Ezra/Nehemiah and there is such a strong parraell to what
YHVW is doing today, perparing us to return to the Land and the return of our Messiah Yeshua.
These teachings are available on our website http://www.deborahsmessianicministries.com.
YHVW is calling us out of Babylon and the Pagan ways that have infiltrated His Congregation
that call themselves by His Name and telling us to Come Out Of Her (Babylon) and be seperate!
We are to return to His Ways and repent (Teshuvah) of our compromise of His Word.
Rev 18:1 After these things, I saw another angel coming down from heaven. He had great
authority, the earth was lit up by his splendor.
Rev 18:2 He cried out in a strong voice, "She has fallen! She has fallen! Bavel the Great! She has
become a home for demons, a prison for every unclean spirit, a prison for every unclean, hated
bird.
Rev 18:3 "For all the nations have drunk of the wine of God's fury caused by her whoring - yes,
the kings of the earth went whoring with her, and from her unrestrained love of luxury the
world's businessmen have grown rich."
Rev 18:4 Then I heard another voice out of heaven say: "My people, come out of her! so that you
will not share in her sins, so that you will not be infected by her plagues,
Rev 18:5 for her sins are a sticky mass piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her crimes.
YHVW is calling His people out of Babylon, just as He did in Ezra and Nehemiah's time. If we
insist on keeping Babylon's ways, we will receive her judgement as well. If we Come Out Of
Her we will walk in the secret place of the Most High!

Week 2 /Attribute 2 - Vigor/Discipline (Gevurah)
G-d always Disciplines us with love....He showed His Great Love by Giving us Messiah Yeshua to
pay the price for our sins. John 3:16
"A Quote From Meaningful Life" (ignore previous link, this was an error).
Tiferet of Gevurah
Not just love but compassion has to drive discipline. Love comes from recognizing one's merits
and positive qualities (discipline channels and directs those strengths and weeds out the
negative). Compassion is unconditional love. It is love just for the sake of love, not considering
the others position. Tiferet is a result of total selflessness in the eyes of G-d. You love for no
reason; you love because you are a refelection of G-d.
Also We need to Discipline ourselves daily against the works of the flesh...It is always easier to
see and criticize someone elses faults and be blind to our own.
Gal 5:16 What I am saying is this: run your lives by the Spirit. Then you will not do what your old
nature wants.
Gal 5:17 For the old nature wants what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit wants what is
contrary to the old nature. These oppose each other, so that you find yourselves unable to carry
out your good intentions.
Gal 5:18 But if you are led by the Spirit, then you are not in subjection to the system that
results from perverting the Torah into legalism.
Gal 5:19 And it is perfectly evident what the old nature does. It expresses itself in sexual
immorality, impurity and indecency;
Gal 5:20 involvement with the occult and with drugs; in feuding, fighting, becoming jealous and
getting angry; in selfish ambition, factionalism, intrigue
Gal 5:21 and envy; in drunkenness, orgies and things like these. I warn you now as I have warned
you before: those who do such things will have no share in the Kingdom of God!
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
36
faithfulness,
Gal 5:23 humility, self control. Nothing in the Torah stands against such things.
Page
Gal 5:24 Moreover, those who belong to the Messiah Yeshua have put their old nature to death
on the stake, along with its passions and desires.
Gal 5:25 Since it is through the Spirit that we have Life, let it also be through the Spirit that
we order our lives day by day. (Complete Jewish Bible)
5 Therefore, put to death the earthly parts of your nature-sexual immorality, impurity, lust,
evil desires and greed (which is a form of idolatry); 6 for it is because of these things that
God's anger is coming on those who disobey him. 7 True enough, you used to practice these
things in the life you once lived; 8 but now, put them all away-anger, exasperation, meanness,
slander and obscene talk. 9 Never lie to one another; because you have stripped away the old
self, with its ways, 10 and have put on the new self, which is continually being renewed in fuller
and fuller knowledge, closer and closer to the image of its Creator.[2]
Yes, everyone wants the blessings, but we need to remember that obedience brings the
blessings!
1Sa 15:22 Sh'mu'el said, "Does Adonai take as much pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices
as in obeying what Adonai says? Surely obeying is better than sacrifice, and heeding orders
than the fat of rams.
David Alsobrouk
"Any love, affection or worship which rightfully belongs to God, but is not given to Him, is
idolatry"

Week 2 /Attribute 2 - Vigor/Discipline (Gevurah)
This is especially applicable to us who are leaders and teachers of His Word.
Why was YHVW so harsh with Moshe? If anyone deserved to cross over to the promised land
surely he did. What did YHVW/G-d discipline him this way?
Why, then, would not G-d have received the sincere request of Moses? The answer lies in the
very reason that G-d prescribed the consequenses of Moses disobedience in the first place
Num 20:10 But after Moshe and Aharon had assembled the community in front of the rock, he
Page
said to them, "Listen here, you rebels! Are we supposed to bring you water from this rock?"
Num 20:11 Then Moshe raised his hand and hit the rock twice with his staff. Water flowed out
in abundance, and the community and their livestock drank.
Num 20:12 But Adonai said to Moshe and Aharon, "Because you did not trust in me, so as to
cause me to be regarded as holy by the people of Isra'el, you will not bring this community into
the land I have given them."
Moses is demonstrating to us that his punishment was necessary in order to teach the true
character or nature of YHVW/G-d when it comes to how His attributes of grace and justice
must coexists. Our actions-our deeds-have consequences. (For the full teaching go to Torah
Resources.
In other words, if Moses was allowed as a leader to disregard YHVW instructions then all of
Israel would follow his example and not show respect to who He is and that He says what He
means and means what He says.
Are we not doing the same thing today when we refuse to keep His Shabbat and His Feasts
saying we do not have. Do we love the traditions of men more then His Word? Didn't He say
they were His Feasts (Lev 23) that were to be kept forever? Wasn't Yeshua obedient to Him in
ALL things and obeyed Him in every way which included keeping the Feasts and Shabbat and
obeying His Torah? If Yeshua is our Master, shoudn't we be walking in His footsteps? By our
actions and disobedience are we causing others to disreqard the Holiness of YHVW and the
message of Yeshua HaMashiach?
This should cause us, who teach the Word, to tremble at His Word and His Holiness.
Jas 3:1 Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, since you know that we will be
judged more severely.
Jas 3:2 For we all stumble in many ways; if someone does not stumble in what he says, he is a
mature man who can bridle his whole body.

Week 2 /Attribute 2 - Vigor/Discipline (Gevurah)
Heb 12:1 So then, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us, too, put
aside every impediment - that is, the sin which easily hampers our forward movement - and keep
running with endurance in the contest set before us,
Heb 12:2 looking away to the Initiator and Completer of that trusting, Yeshua - who, in
exchange for obtaining the joy set before him, endured execution on a stake as a criminal,
scorning the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Heb 12:3 Yes, think about him who endured such hostility against himself from sinners, so that
you won't grow tired or become despondent.
Heb 12:4 You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in the contest against sin.
Heb 12:5 Also you have forgotten the counsel which speaks with you as sons: "My son, don't
despise the discipline of Adonai or become despondent when he corrects you.
Heb 12:6 For Adonai disciplines those he loves and whips everyone he accepts as a son."
Heb 12:7 Regard your endurance as discipline; God is dealing with you as sons. For what son goes
undisciplined by his father?
Heb 12:8 All legitimate sons undergo discipline; so if you don't, you're a mamzer and not a son!
Heb 12:9 Furthermore, we had physical fathers who disciplined us, and we respected them; how
much more should we submit to our spiritual Father and live!
Heb 12:10 For they disciplined us only for a short time and only as best they could; but he
disciplines us in a way that provides genuine benefit to us and enables us to share in his holiness.
Heb 12:11 Now, all discipline, while it is happening, does indeed seem painful, not enjoyable; but
for those who have been trained by it, it later produces its peaceful fruit, which is
righteousness. (Complete Jewish Bible)
Now more then ever before we need to keep our eyes upon His Word, which gives us strength to
run the race. Whenever I read a story about those who have been martyred and Yom Ha Shoa
(The Holocaust) I pray, Father let me be strong like they were if I ever have to face such a
test of my faith.
We have just finished remembering the victims of those who were murdered during Yom Ha
40
Shoah and vowing never to let this happen again! Yet even today many believers are facing
great tests of their faith and even martyrdom for their faith in Yeshua, and still the world is
Page
silent. Israel is being threatened daily with rockets and surrounded by enemies who want to see
her fall and the world is looking the other way or worse trying to get Israel to give up thier
land!
We are starting to see a falling away from the Word and people who call themselves Christians
are falling into apostacy and even allowing New Age teaching into their Churches. Anti Semitism
is on the rise in Europe and the World is preparing for the Anti-Messiah! When you read the
news and see what is happening it can become overwelming except for the fact that we know
YHVW/G-d is in control and that we need to continue to run the race and stay in the secret
place of the most High and under the Shadow of the Almighty! (Psalm 91)
We are truly living in a time of Restoration for those who have ears to hear what His Spirit is
speaking to His Bride. He is gathering and regathering His people for His return. Ezekial 37
and following is beginning to be fulfilled in our days as we see many Jewish people coming to
faith in Messiah and many believers returning to the true faith of Messiah and His Torah and
returning to the Jewish Roots of their faith.

Week 3 /Attribute 3 - Beauty/Harmony/Compassion (Tiferet)
Holiness Is Beautiful
Mat 5:29 If your right eye makes you sin, gouge it out and throw it away!
Better that you should lose one part of you than have your whole body
thrown into Gei-Hinnom.
Mat 5:30 And if your right hand makes you sin, cut it off and throw it away!
Better that you should lose one part of you than have your whole body
thrown into Gei-Hinnom. (CJB)
Pluck my eye out? Cut my hand off? What did Yeshua mean in
Mattityahu/Matthew 5:29-30? If we were to take this literally, I would
guess that 95% of all believers (including myself) would be blind and without
hands, not a very pretty picture. What was Yeshua trying to get across to
his talmidim ?
Ron Mosely in "Yeshua a guide to the Real Jesus and the Original Church" p.
26 explains what this means.
"This verse seems absolutely absurd when taken out of its Jewish context,
it is a clear example of one of the most common Jewish teaching methods of
Yeshua/Jesus day, a method known as "Kal-Ve-Chomer" light and heavy. This
method was used by Yeshua/Jesus repeatedly to contrast the two stages of
sin, the first state being the lighter and the second stage the heavier. The
purpose behind this method was to teach the principle that if we nip a sin in
the bud while it is still in the light stage, or as Yeshua/Jesus says "Pluck it
out" or "cut it off" it can be prevented from ever reaching the far more
destructive heavy stage."
Here Yeshua is telling us how to live holy lives, if we keep our eyes from evil,
42
then the thoughts will not become actions that will cause us to backslide and
sin.
Page
Daily we need to make decisions about what we will watch, read and partake
of in order to protect ourselves from walking into a sinful situation. To live
a sanctified life, is to daily make the right choices to follow and live out His
Word and to keep ourselves from evil. We need to daily renew our minds
with the Word of G-d, His Torah and daily confess any sins that have
hindered our walk with Adonai. We need to tell our body what to do, not let
our body tell us what to do, if we walk in the power of the Ruach/HaKodesh
we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5:16-26.
1Ch 16:29 Ascribe unto the LORD the glory due unto His name; bring an
offering, and come before Him; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
1Ch 16:30 Tremble before Him, all the earth; the world also is established
that it cannot be moved.
1Ch 16:31 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; and let them say
among the nations: 'The LORD reigneth.'
1Ch 16:32 Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; let the field exult, and
all that is therein;
1Ch 16:33 Then shall the trees of the wood sing for joy, before the LORD,
for He is come to judge the earth.
1Ch 16:34 O give thanks unto the LORD; for He is good; for His mercy
endureth for ever.
1Ch 16:35 And say ye: 'Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us
together and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks unto Thy
holy name, that we may triumph in Thy praise.'
1Ch 16:36 Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting even to
43
everlasting. And all the people said: 'Amen,' and praised the LORD. (JPS)

Week 3 /Attribute 3 - Beauty/Harmony/Compassion (Tiferet)
Isa 53:1 'Who would have believed our report? And to whom hath the arm of the LORD been
revealed?
Isa 53:2 For he shot up right forth as a sapling, and as a root out of a dry ground; he had no
form nor comeliness, that we should look upon him, nor beauty that we should delight in him.
Isa 53:3 He was despised, and forsaken of men, a man of pains, and acquainted with disease, and
as one from whom men hide their face: he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Isa 53:4 Surely our diseases he did bear, and our pains he carried; whereas we did esteem him
stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
Isa 53:5 But he was wounded because of our transgressions, he was crushed because of our
iniquities: the chastisement of our welfare was upon him, and with his stripes we were
healed. (JPS)
What drew men to Yahshua was His Love, His Compassion for those who were sick and
downtrodden (Isa 61) , His Wisdom, His intimate Knowledge of YHVW and His Teaching
of Torah and finally His victory over death! He Is YHVW, Our Master, Our King! He Is
Yeshua/Salvation to all those who would repent and call upon His Name and walk as He walked.
His gift of salvation has provided us with His healing promises, promises of deliverance,
promises of our needs being met, promises of love, joy and peace, but most important His
44
promise of eternal life and that someday we will rule and reign with Messiah.

What does Holiness look like? It looks like the fruit of the Ruach HaKodesh, it looks like
Yeshua. "But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness, self control, against such things there is no law. Gal. 5:23 This is real
Beauty.
Now those who belong to Messiah Yeshua, have crucified the flesh with its passions and
desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. Gal. 5:24-25
To walk in Holiness is to walk in the power of the Ruach HaKodesh/Holy Spirit and let His fruit
daily manifest in our lives.
It Is Time To Return to Him Israel... He Is Waiting For You To Say Baruch HaBa B'Shem
Adonai! It is time for those who call themself by His Name to come out of Bablyon and be
seperated unto Him!
Hos 14:1(14:2) Return, Isra'el, to Adonai your God, for your guilt has made you stumble.
Hos 14:2(14:3) Take words with you, and return to Adonai; say to him, "Forgive all guilt, and
accept what is good; we will pay instead of bulls [the offerings of] our lips.
Hos 14:3(14:4) Ashur will not save us, we will not ride on horses, and we will no longer call what
we made with our hands our gods. For it is only in you that the fatherless can find mercy."
Hos 14:4(14:5) "I will heal their disloyalty, I will love them freely; for my anger has turned from
him.
Hos 14:5(14:6) I will be like dew to Isra'el; he will blossom like a lily and strike roots like the
L'vanon.
Hos 14:6(14:7) His branches will spread out, his beauty be like an olive tree and his fragrance
like the L'vanon.
Hos 14:7(14:8) Again they will live in his shade and raise grain; they will blossom like a vine, and
its aroma will be like the wine of the L'vanon.
Hos 14:8(14:9) Efrayim [will say], 'What have I to do any more with idols?' And I, I answer and
affirm him; I am like a fresh, green cypress tree; your fruitfulness comes from me."
Hos 14:9(14:10) Let the wise understand these things, and let the discerning know them. For the
ways of Adonai are straight, And the righteous walk in them, but in them sinners stumble.

Week 3 /Attribute 3 - Beauty/Harmony/Compassion (Tiferet)
Isa 61:3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for
mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of
righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified." NKJV
beauty for ashes - There is a play on the sound and meaning of the Hebrew words, peer, epher,
literally, "ornamental headdress" or tiara
(Eze_24:17), worn in times of joy, instead of a headdress of "ashes," cast on the head in
mourning (2Sa_13:19).
oil of joy - Perfumed ointment was poured on the guests at joyous feasts (Psa_23:5; Psa_45:7,
Psa_45:8; Amo_6:6). On occasions of grief its use was laid aside (2Sa_14:2).
I know there are many out there that are going through rough times. Our families are being
attacked, our finances, our health, our ministries are going through the fire, our children are
not serving YHVW and many of us are in mourning and wondering what is going on? Sometimes
we open the door for the enemy to attack us through disobedience and sometimes we are just
being attacked because we are obeying. Each of us needs to seek His face in our own lives and
search our hearts and repent where we need to repent and stand when we need to stand, always
keeping our eyes upon Him.
He said he would give us beauty for ashes (ashes are a sign of great distress and mourning)
Why? That we might be called Trees of Righteousness-That we would become strong In our
faith/trust in who He is and that we would learn to stand firm on His word no matter what we
might have to face.
He has promised us that even though there may be weeping through the night, joy comes in the
morning.
We need to cling to His promises even when it seems everything around us is falling apart,
because He is our faithful YHVH Elohim.

Psa 86:1[A prayer of David:] Listen, Adonai, and answer me, for I am poor and needy.
Psa 86:2 Preserve my life, for I am faithful; save your servant, who puts his trust in you
because you are my God.
Psa 86:3 Take pity on me, Adonai, for I cry to you all day.
Psa 86:4 Fill your servant's heart with joy, for to you, Adonai, I lift my heart.
Psa 86:5 Adonai, you are kind and forgiving, full of grace toward all who call on you.
Psa 86:6 Listen, Adonai, to my prayer; pay attention to my pleading cry.
Psa 86:7 On the day of my trouble I am calling on you, for you will answer me.
Psa 86:8 There is none like you among the gods, Adonai; no deeds compare with yours.
Psa 86:9 All the nations you have made will come and bow before you, Adonai; they will honor
your name.
Psa 86:10 For you are great, and you do wonders; you alone are God.
Psa 86:11 Adonai, teach me your way, so that I can live by your truth; make me single-hearted,
so that I can fear your name.
Psa 86:12 I will thank you, Adonai my God, with my whole heart; and I will glorify your name
forever.
Psa 86:13 For your grace toward me is so great! You have rescued me from the lowest part of
Sh'ol.
Psa 86:14 God, arrogant men are rising against me, a gang of brutes is seeking my life, and to
you they pay no attention.
Psa 86:15 But you, Adonai, are a merciful, compassionate God, slow to anger and rich in grace
and truth.
Psa 86:16 Turn to me, and show me your favor; strengthen your servant, save your slave-girl's
son.
Psa 86:17 Give me a sign of your favor, so that those who hate me will see it and be ashamed,
because you, Adonai, have helped and comforted me.

Notice how many times in the above Psalm, David called upon YHVW GRACE! YHVW Grace is
not only in the New Testament. He has alway been full of grace and mercy towards His people.
It was His Grace and LOVE that caused Him to give His Only Begotten Son-John 3:16
David recognized that #1-He was poor and needy. All of his riches meant nothing without
YHVH. Only YHVW had the power to preserve his life from his enemies and proceeds to
remind YHVH of his faithfullness to him, but with humilty.
We also need to realize that without YHVW's Salvation/Yeshua we are poor and needy as well
and only He can save us from the hands of our enemies.
Let this prayer of David be our prayer today and trust in His compassion to deliver us out of
the hands of our enemies.

1Pe 3:8 Finally, all of you, be one in mind and feeling; love as brothers; and be compassionate and
humble-minded,
1Pe 3:9 not repaying evil with evil or insult with insult, but, on the contrary, with blessing. For it
is to this that you have been called, so that you may receive a blessing.
"What kind of things will Satan attempt to put in our path in order to cause us to fail in the
mission Yeshua has designed for us? I believe his strategies may be multifaceted, but I want to
emphasize just one in this essay....'lashon hara", "evil speech" or "slander". Perhaps nothing
tears apart the ability of a congregation to work together in service more than the sin of
slander -speaking in a derogatory way against a brother or sister. Unfortunately, everyone of us
must admit that in one way or another, we have engaged in this sin and to one extent or another
have therefore weakened our corporate ability to fulfill the mission Yeshua has designed for us
against Satan's schemes. It was Mar, son of Ravina, who concluded his daily prayers with "My
G-d, keep my tongue from evil and my lips from speaking guile", a prayer which was added to the
Shemonie Esrei."
I have a sign in my office as a daily reminder "Lord put your arm around my shoulder and your
hand over my mouth"
Are we showing compassion when we tear one another apart by our words? We are all guilty of
this and Yakov/James knew that the key to living a perfect life is found in controling what
comes out of our lips.
Jas 3:2 For we all stumble in many ways; if someone does not stumble in what he says, he is a
mature man who can bridle his whole body.
Jas 3:3 If we put a bit into a horse's mouth to make it obey us, we control its whole body as
well.
Jas 3:4 And think of a ship - although it is huge and is driven by strong winds, yet the pilot can
steer it wherever he wants with just a small rudder.
51
Jas 3:5 So too the tongue is a tiny part of the body, yet it boasts great things. See how a little
Page
A compassionate person is quick to put themselves in someone elses shoes to try to understand
what they might be going through before opening their mouth and inserting foot!
If we expect people to have compassion for us, then we need to show compassion and walk
humbly before others. Godly correction must be balanced with compassion as well.
When we speak evil/Lashon Hara we cause disunity and strife and it shows a great lack of
compassion on our parts. We are to speak the truth in love, not cut each other ot ribbons with
our mouth. I guarantee that when you harshly judge a brother or sister in Messiah you just
might find yourself in that same situation and be in need of some compassion yourself, and you
will not find it. There are spiritual rules that must be followed and it is a spiritual truth that
we will reap what we sow-good or evil.
When someone has refused to help you or has harmed you in the past, it is considered "revenge"
to refuse to do him a favor in return. It is considered "bearing a grudge" to do the favor - while
reminding him of the harm he did.
The evil inclination ("yetzer hara") works on getting a person angry in order that he should get
back at the other person, if not in a major way, at least in a minor way. The evil inclination tries
to tell you, "If you want to give something to him - even though he refused to help you when you
were in need - at least don't give it to him with a friendly smile. Don't help him too much. Don't
be too close a friend with him; it's enough that you forgive him and don't consider him your
enemy. Even if you do still want to be his friend, don't show him as much love as previously."
These are the ways the evil inclination tries to entice people. Therefore the Torah states an all-
encompassing principle: "Love your neighbor as yourself." "As yourself" means literally as
yourself - without any difference or variation.
Forgiving People
If someone has wronged you and then shows sincere regret and asks for forgiveness, what
should you do? Go out of your way to do positive things for him that will express your love and
52
concern for him. In this way, you are encouraging him for realizing his mistake and doing the

Week 3 /Attribute 3 - Beauty/Harmony/Compassion (Tiferet)
When we are corrected by the Word by our Rabbi/Pastor, or by brothers and sisters in the
Messiah, we need to listen, pray about what was said and be wise and repent and make
adjustments where necessary and not become easily offended.
If the rebuke is given in love to help you grow in your walk with Messiah, then receive it as
such. Do not allow yourself to become offended by correction. Pride will cause you not to
receive correction and will hinder your spiritual growth. I would rather be corrected in love
with the Word by a brother or sister in Messiah then have someone say nothing to me especially
if I am wrong about something I have taught or said. Remember G-d always uses His Word to
correct us and a wise son accepts his father's discipline.
I will be the first to admit that when I am corrected, I do not necessarily like it, but I have
learned to be wise and listen to correction and make the necessary adjustments in my life so I
can grow in my walk with YHWH/G-d.
As parents when we correct our children, we do so because we love them and want them to
succeed and not fail and what a joy it is when that child acknowledges that correction and obeys
and what sorrow when that child rebels and will not give heed to correction, but chooses to
rebel, bringing sorrow to himself and his family. Let us not be rebellious children of YHWH,
54
but let us be those children who accept His disipline that He gives us because He loves us, so we
Page
can succeed in all He has called us to do. Amen
It takes compassion to give correction because you do not want to see your children or brothers
and sisters in Messiah take a path that leads to distruction.
We need to be truly remorseful and repent if we have destroyed others by our words instead of
bringing correction with compassion. Life and Death are in the power of the tonque...! It is so
easy to become entangled in the web of gossip instead of mercy and compassion.
**********************************************************
Father Give Me A Tonque of Compassion and not LaShon Hara/Evil Speech that I would not
bring harm to others.
A Chasidic tale illustrates the point: A man went about the community telling malicious lies
about his Rabbi. Later, he realized the wrong he had done, and began to feel remorse. He went
to the Rabbi and begged his forgiveness, saying he would do anything he could to make amends.
The Rabbi told the man, "Take a feather pillow, cut it open, and scatter the feathers to the
winds" The man thought that this was a strange request, but it was a simple enough task, and
he did it gladly. When he returned to tell the Rabbi that he had done it, the Rabbi said. 'Now,
go and gather the feathers. Because you can no more make amends for the damage your words
have done than you can recollect the feathers."
Evil speaking of another has been compared to an arrow that once released cannot be stopped
or recalled. Likewise, the words spoken once released cannot be stopped from harming their
intended target. The character and soul of another.

2Ti 2:19 Nevertheless, God's firm foundation stands, stamped with these words: "The Lord
knows his own," and, "Let everyone who claims he belongs to the Lord stand apart from
wrongdoing."
2Ti 2:20 In a large house there are dishes and pots not only of gold and silver, but also of wood
and clay. That is, some are meant for honorable use and some for dishonorable.
2Ti 2:21 If a person keeps himself free of defilement by the latter, he will be a vessel set aside
for honorable use by the master of the house and ready for every kind of good work.
2Ti 2:22 So, flee the passions of youth; and, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure
heart, pursue righteousness, faithfulness, love and peace.
2Ti 2:23 But stay away from stupid and ignorant controversies - you know that they lead to
fights,
2Ti 2:24 and a slave of the Lord shouldn't fight. On the contrary, he should be kind to
everyone, a good teacher, and not resentful when mistreated.
2Ti 2:25 Also he should be gentle as he corrects his opponents. For God may perhaps grant
them the opportunity to turn from their sins, acquire full knowledge of the truth,
2Ti 2:26 come to their senses and escape the trap of the Adversary, after having been
captured alive by him to do his will.
1Co 1:10 Nevertheless, brothers, I call on you in the name of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah to
agree, all of you, in what you say, and not to let yourselves remain split into factions but be
restored to having a common mind and a common purpose.

We need to repent of LaShon Hara against each other, because we are going to need each other
more then ever as we prepare for His Return. We need to go to the Mikveh because He is
coming for His Bride
Eph 5:27 in order to present the Messianic Community to himself as a bride to be proud of,
without a spot, wrinkle or any such thing, but holy and without defect.
I am told that in Israel the Rabbi will not perform a marriage without the bride going
through the ritual Mikveh! The Mikveh of the Bride is a very holy process.
There must be Repentance Before The Mikveh. If our tongue defiles us, then we need to
repent and be cleansed.
There are two components to repentance for speaking Lashon Hara/The Evil Tongue:
(1) ) The sin between man and G-d: for the violation of any commandment; a person repents by:
(a) regretting his actions
(b) confessing his misdeed privately to G-d
(c) committing to change his ways for the good
(2) ) The sin between man and fellow man: for any harm that one person causes another;
the offending party must:
(a) try to make amends
(b) ) ask for forgiveness

Abba Father...Put your arm around my shoulders and your hand over my mouth.
Don't Open Your Mouth....If you words will be a poor reflection of the Master Yeshua to your
friends and family
1Pe 2:22 "He committed no sin, nor was any deceit found on his lips."
1Pe 2:23 When he was insulted, he didn't retaliate with insults; when he suffered, he didn't
threaten, but handed them over to him who judges justly.
1Pe 2:24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the stake, so that we might die to sins and live
for righteousness - by his wounds you were healed.
1Pe 2:25 For you used to be like sheep gone astray, but now you have turned to the Shepherd,
who watches over you. (CJB)
Messiah Yeshua, is our example of how we are to act in the face of persecution.
When He was reviled and insulted, He did not revile or offer insult in return.
The carnal Believer that walks after the flesh will always react with wrong words when he is
reviled or insulted. Everything we say and do is a reflection of the Master we serve, are our
lives and words showing that we serve Messiah Yeshua? Or are our words showing the world
that Ha satan is the master of our lives. We are to be Ruach/Spirit controlled at ALL times
and this take discipline, but when we do the fruit of the Ruach/Spirit will become more evident
58
We need to return to the practice in the Brit HaDasha that tells us to confess our faults and
sins to one another so we will be healed. We are so full of pride and fear of rejection that we
do not want to do this, however if we do, healing will come. That is what being a Messianic
Community is about and it is what knits us together; when we learn to love, forgive and pray for
one another.
Jas 5:16 Therefore, openly acknowledge your sins to one another, and pray for each other, so
that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
Today, make the decision to follow after Messiah and His example and let Him be the Master of
your life in every area, especially your words. May our lips speak forth words filled with
Beauty, Harmony and Compassion as we await His return.
***********************************************************
"The first step in avoiding Lashon hara is to recognize our own faults and commit to improving
on them. When I accept that I alone am responsible for my inadequacies, then I will similarly be
less critical and more tolerant of others. If you find yourself getting "Down" about yourself or
others, try focusing away from the faults and instead on the virtues. It will lift you out of
negativity. The Torah says: Don't take the easy way out.; Feeling down? Work hard to improve
yourself" Mikahael ben Moshe

The safest place in the world is under the shadow of His wings. He is saying to us today, we do
not need to fear for what is going on around us, for He is with us. We do not have to be

to strengthen us and help us and uphold us if we stay in union with Him.

Week 4 /Attribute 4 - Victory/Endurance/Determination (Netzach)
19 Therefore, my dear brothers, let every person be quick to listen but slow to speak, slow to
get angry;
20 for a man's anger does not accomplish God's righteousness!
21 So rid yourselves of all vulgarity and obvious evil, and receive meekly the Word implanted in
you that can save your lives[2]
Vs. 19b Let every person be quick to listen, but slow to speak...
There are times when we need to learn the "Vocabulary of Silence", if we would listen more, our
words would be words of the spirit and not of the flesh. It takes much self control, to control
the tonque, any married couple can tell you that, most fights would stop in five minutes, if we
did not have to be the one to get the last word in, so before you know it a little disagreement
turns into hurtful words and quarreling and even divorce.
In other words do not be quick to speak when you have anger inside of you, that is when you
need to walk away and calm down and pray. The enemy loves to bring a spirit of strife into our
marriages, family and Congregations, by being slow to anger we will not react in the flesh but let
our words be filled with the wisdom and love of G-d, and as we do this G-d's righteousness will
prevail.
62
The anger in this verse is referring to bursts of anger, which can result in violence against
another. It is an anger that acts before it thinks, and controlled by the passions and not the
spirit. We can be righteously angry at the works of the enemy and the sorrow he causes such
as war, poverty, sickness and bondage, but we need to walk in love with people. We need to
listen, and give a soft answer because "A soft answer turns away wrath", your actions could
very well bring someone who has rejected G-d all of his life into a relationship with the Holy
One of Israel, YHWH or turn him away.
Jas 1:21 So rid yourselves of all vulgarity and obvious evil, and receive meekly the Word
implanted in you that can save your lives.
James 1:21 goes on to tell us to rid ourselves of vulgarity (provanity, course speaking, telling
dirty or lewd jokes, or even to listening to them) and obvious evil and to humble yourselves and
submit (to submit is to obey, just like a servant would obey his master/boss) yourselves to the
Torah/Word of G-d. Walking in the spirit, letting the Word dominate our actions can save our
lives! and receive meekly the Word implanted in you that can save your lives[6]
R. Akiba said of the command, "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as they self (leve xix 18) that is
was 'a fundamental principle of the Torah' His colleague, Ben Azzai, cited as a principle of still
greater importance, "This is the book of the generations of Adam...in the likeness of God made
He him' (Gen.v1) (Sifra as loc). Universal love is here proclaimed not merely as the ideal
advocated in the Torah but as the only true standard of human relationship. While this first
Rabbi referred to the explicit commandment, the second teacher based the ideal on the
doctrine that all human beings are descended from one ancestor and are therefore bound
together by the kinship of a common origin, and also that they share one inestimable privilege,
viz of having been created in the divine likeness. 'With a solemn warning was the declaration
made. "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself" I (God) created him; and if you love him, I am
faithful to repay you a good reward; but if you do not love him, I am the Judge to exact a
penalty' (ARN xvi)."[3] (My Comment-I am only using these quotes as illustrations, it is not
my intention to make them equal to scripture or the Words of Our Master Yeshua)

Mark 12:30-31
28 One of the Torah-teachers came up and heard them engaged in this discussion. Seeing that
Yeshua answered them well, he asked him, "Which is the most important mitzvah of them all?"
29 Yeshua answered, "The most important is,
'Sh'ma Israel, Adonai Eloheynu Adonai echad [Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD
is one], 30 and you are to love Adonai your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all
your understanding and with all your strength."
31 The second is this:
'You are to love your neighbor as yourself.'
There is no other mitzvah greater than these." 32 The Torah-teacher said to him, "Well said,
Rabbi; you speak the truth when you say that he is one, and that there is no other besides him;
33 and that loving him with all one's heart understanding and strength, and loving one's
neighbor as oneself, mean more than all the burnt offerings and sacrifices." 34 When Yeshua
saw that he responded sensibly, he said to him, "You are not far from the Kingdom of God." And
after that, no one dared put to him another sheilah.[4]
Matthew 5:44
44 But I tell you, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! 45 Then you will become
children of your Father in heaven. For he makes his sun shine on good and bad people alike, and
he sends rain to the righteous and the unrighteous alike. 46 What reward do you get if you love
only those who love you? Why, even tax-collectors do that! 47 And if you are friendly only to
your friends, are you doing anything out of the ordinary? Even the Goyim do that! 48 Therefore,
be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.[5]
May our prayer be today to YHVW/Hashem that in the Name of Yahshua He would confirm the
work of our hands for His glory and for His Kingdom and that He would give us favor with whom
we need favor with in order to do the work He has called us to. May He bring total Restoration
and Shalom to both Houses of Israel, Judah and Ephraim In Messiah Yeshua Ha Mashiach.

Rom 5:1 So, since we have come to be considered righteous by God because of our trust, let us
continue to have shalom with God through our Lord, Yeshua the Messiah.
Rom 5:2 Also through him and on the ground of our trust, we have gained access to this grace in
which we stand; so let us boast about the hope of experiencing God's glory.
Rom 5:3 But not only that, let us also boast in our troubles; because we know that trouble
produces endurance,
Rom 5:4 endurance produces character, and character produces hope;
Rom 5:5 and this hope does not let us down, because God's love for us has already been poured
out in our hearts through the Ruach HaKodesh who has been given to us.
"A potter does not examine defective vessels, because he cannot give them a single blow

Are we willing to be Clay in the Potters hands, so that he can mold us and make us into His image

YHVW will call us to do the impossible, things that are beyond our natural ability but that
require 100% faith/trust in Him to bring it to pass so that He will get the glory and we will learn

Jdg 6:12 The angel of Adonai appeared to him and said to him: "You valiant hero! Adonai is with
you!"
Jdg 6:13 "Excuse me, sir," answered Gid`on, "but if Adonai is with us, then why is all this
happening to us? And where are all his miracles our ancestors told us about when they said,
'Didn't Adonai bring us up from Egypt?' For now Adonai has abandoned us and handed us over to
Midyan."
Jdg 6:14 Adonai turned to him and said, "Go in this strength of yours and save Isra'el from the
hands of Midyan. Haven't I sent you?"
Jdg 6:15 But Gid`on answered him, "Forgive me, my Lord, but with what am I to save Isra'el?
Why, my family is the poorest in M'nasheh, and I'm the youngest person in my father's house!"
I don't know about you but I have felt the same way. Father if you have called me why I am
going through all these problems, where are the miracles that Pharoah will know that you are
YHVH?. Why is it so hard to accomplish what you want me to do? Why would you even want to
use me in the first place? Don't you know that I am the least, there are others who are much
smarter then I am.
Jdg 6:16 Adonai said to him, "Because I will be with you, you will strike down Midyan as easily as
if they were just one man."
Then you hear this! There are to many of you! What? But G-d don't you understand that we
have a great big battle ahead of us? How can we accomplish what you have called us to do with
so few to do the work?
71
Page
Jdg 7:2 Adonai said to Gid`on, "There are too many people with you for me to hand Midyan over
to them, because I don't want Isra'el to be able to boast against me, 'We saved ourselves by
our own strength.'
Jdg 7:3 Therefore, proclaim to the people 'Anyone who is anxious or afraid should go back
home, while we stay here on Mount Gil`ad.' " Twenty-two thousand returned, but ten thousand
remained. (So much for having a MEGA Church!)
Jdg 7:4 Adonai said to Gid`on, "There are still too many people. Have them come down to the
water, and there I will screen them for you. If I say of anyone, 'This one is for you,' he will go
with you; and if I say, 'This one is not for you,' he won't go with you." (G-d takes charge of the
hiring, not you)
Jdg 7:5 So he brought the people down to the water, and Adonai said to Gid`on, "Put to one side
everyone who laps up water with his tongue the way a dog does, and put to the other side
everyone who gets down on his knees to drink."
Jdg 7:6 Three hundred lapped, putting their hand to their mouth; all the rest of the men got
down on their knees to drink water.
Jdg 7:7 Adonai said to Gid`on, "I will use the three hundred men who lapped the water to save
you; I will hand Midyan over to you. Let all these others go back home."
What was G-d looking for? The same thing He is looking for today. Those who are not anxious
or afraid to follow His commands, and those who are alert and ready for battle. Those who will
not take the glory for what G-d has done. Those who are not impressed by great numbers but
who are willing to do what He has called them to do no matter how small in number they may
seem. We need to realize that if He has called us to do something He will make sure that He
will give us what we need to win the battle, His way not our way.
G-d's Word, His Commandment's are not a 'Burger King' where you can have it your way. It is
His way or no way. But His way will guarantee you will have victory in HIM.

Proverbs 22:4
The reward of humility is the fear of YHVH/G-d, even riches, and honour, and life.
How great is humility? So great that the Holy One singles it out to glorify and praise it, as it is
written in the Tractate of Megilla (31a). Rabbi Yochanan says: Wherever one finds the might of
the Holy One, he also finds His humility. This is found in the Torah and is repeated in the
73
Prophets and repeated again in the Writings of the Bible, In the Torah it is written: For the
Page
Lord Your God is the God of gods, and the Lord of lords..." (Deuteronomy 10:7) This verse is
followed by, "...who does justice for the orphan and the widow."
In the Prophets it is written: For God says High and exalted He dwells forever..." (Isaiah 57:15)
This is immediately followed by "...and the downtrodden and dispirited will be revived..."
In the Writings it is written: "...extol him who rides on the clouds; his name is the Lord" (Psalms
68:5) which is followed by, "...father of orphans and judge to the widows..."
Thus a person has to imitate the qualities of his Creator with all his might, in order to ascend to
the highest rung and cling to humility. This will entitle him to be loved by God and people as well.
When a person grasps on to the quality of humility, he will distance himself from much of the
filth found in humanity, and he will hasten to the qualities of holiness, purity and abstinence,

There was no more humble person then Yeshua our Messiah, YHVW In The Flesh who loved us
so much that He was willing to take our place and die for us!
We are to walk in His footsteps and take His yoke (Torah/Teaching and Instructions) upon
ourselves. We live in a world where "self' promotion" has taken the place of walking humbly
before G-d. Our flesh wants "I" and "Me" to be exalted. We want everyone say how wonderful
we our, when in fact our life should reflect how wonderful G-d is. We have become arrogant
and proud and Yeshua has called us to be gentle and humble. We want to be promoted and make
a name for ourselves, when Yeshua has said He is the one who promotes. We want to exalt
ourselves, when that priviledge only belongs to Him. We want to live, but He has called us to die
to self. Unfortunately those of us who are Messianic are the most guilty of this. We have
become puffed up and full of pride. We need to repent! Because without Yeshua we are
nothing!
We have become proud, when He has called us to walk as He walked, putting others before
Himself.
Joh 15:13 No one has greater love than a person who lays down his life for his friends.
Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.

3. If people honor him, he should not be proud, but rather he should be governed by the way of
humility, and not be haughty in his heart. We have found this quality in Abraham when he
honored Ephron and called him "My master a governor, a lord..." (Genesis 23:6) He even
diminished himself in front of the most downtrodden as it is written, "And Abraham bowed
before the people of the land..." (Ibid:12)

anything else that make people haughty, he should not hold himself over his friends, but rather
he should be humble and modest and he should behave as he did before he was known for these
things. As it is written: "If the spirit of the ruler ascends to you, do not leave your place."

Week 5 /Attribute 5 - Humility/Devotion (Hod)
Humility In Leadership
Leaders we need to take head this warning from the prophets and walk humbly and fearfulling
before YHVW. To be a Shepherd, Teacher, Evangelist, Prophet, Apostle is a priviledge and a
calling. G-d did not call us so we could make a living by serving Him. He called us to serve Him
and He will take care of what we need to live. Our job is to feed the sheep with the truth of
His Word. Many Pastors today in the Body of Messiah are entertainers, not teachers of His
Word. They are motivational speakers who do not know how to feed the sheep.
Our example of humble leadership is our Master Yeshua. We need to be accounatable to other
leaders and not, as one person has said such a 'Maverick'. Accountablilty keeps us humble and
honest. We have made our ministry accountable to others so no one can falsly accuse us and
also so we can get guidance when needed and accountability.
A leader needs to take correction from others in leadership which will help them walk in
humility. It is an honor to be a leader but it also has great accountablity that goes along with
it. Many people want to be leaders, but do not want to be accountable.
Jas 3:1 Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, since you know that we will be
judged more severely.
79
Page
TV, Radio and the Internet have been a good tool to spread His Torah/Word and the Messianic
Message, but also a great tool for pride as well. We need to get rid of the celebrity mentality
in leadership. We are not celebrities, we are servants. The only one that should be magnified
in our lives is Yeshua. G-d has shown in the past that if His leadership will not walk humbly
before Him, He will remove them.
We can not think that we can sin in the darkness and that it will not be brought to the light.
Yeshua warned of those who would cause others to stumble because of their actions.
Those who sit under good leadership must also be like the Bereans and search the Word for
themselves as well to make sure what we are hearing is in line with the Word. This also keeps
us mutually accountable. We need to learn from those in the Bible who walked humbly before G-
d, yet never received any recognition or pats on the back on this earth for what they did. Read
Hebrews 11
Those who do not attend Messianic Congregations, need to find a good one and humble yourself
as well. The Jewish Community knows that to survice they need to stick together. Those who
have come out of the traditional Church and have returned to their Jewish roots need to
humble themselves as well and find a good fellowship ship (I did not say a perfect one, because
there are no perfect fellowships) and humble ourselves as well.
Leaders we need to walk humbly before our G-d and count it a priviledge to serve Him and His
people. Pray Psalm 51
We need to ask YHVW to fill us with His humility and restore a humble heart within us

We have been doing a study on the Priestly Garments, which I believe are the Garments that we
are to put on according to Ephesians 6:13-17. I do not believe Shaul/Paul was talking about the
armour of a Roman pagan soldier but about the Holy Garments of the priesthood.
According to the studies done by the Temple Institute of Israel the Meaning of the the
garments were:
The Tunic, which covers most of the priest body, atones for killing
The pants atone for sexual transgressions
The Turban, worn on the head, atone for hautiness
The belt, worn about the body and worn over the heart atones for "Sins of the Heart" -
improper thoughts
The Breastplate atones for error in judgement
The ephod atones for idolatry
The robes atones for evil speach
The High Priests crown atones for Arrogance
These garments should be a reminder to us of the Atonement of Yeshua Our High Priest who
has called us to a holy walk...
Walking in His righteousness since it is white and since it covers the whole body it
represents the sin in our lives that would try to kill us daily, and that it is only the blood
of Messiah that washes us white as snow.
Walk free from sexual transgressions

1Pe 1:13 Therefore, get your minds ready for work, keep yourselves under control, and fix your
hopes fully on the gift you will receive when Yeshua the Messiah is revealed.
1Pe 1:14 As people who obey God, do not let yourselves be shaped by the evil desires you used to
have when you were still ignorant.
1Pe 1:15 On the contrary, following the Holy One who called you, become holy yourselves in your
entire way of life;
1Pe 1:16 since the Tanakh says, "You are to be holy because I am holy."

darkness into his wonderful light.

her mother-in-law, so that a man's enemies will be the members of his own household.
Mat 10:37 Whoever loves his father or mother more than he loves me is not worthy of me;
anyone who loves his son or daughter more than he loves me is not worthy of me.
Mat 10:38 And anyone who does not take up his execution-stake and follow me is not worthy of

Mat 10:39 Whoever finds his own life will lose it, but the person who loses his life for my sake

Above Yeshua describes a true Talmidim/Disciple of His. He clearly is telling us their will be a
price for following Him. Many want the blessings but do not want to pay the price. These are
very strong words and during this time of counting the Omer we need to search our hearts and
ask forgiveness if we have put others including our families before Him. I am not saying we are
to ignore our families, but we need to keep everything in its proper order, so please do not
misunderstand what I am trying to say because I am including myself as well. We need to
COUNT THE COST.

We want the blessings but we don't like the "IF'S", because the "IFS" are conditional and
require obedience. It is only obedience to His Word that brings the blessings.
Those of you who feel you are called to be Pastor, Rabbi's Teachers etc. Are you willing to pay
the price? Are you willing to serve Him even if you do not get paid and to trust Him to meet
your needs?
Are you willing to be transparent before those you serve, admit when you are wrong and repent
if you have offended someone? Are you willing to be accountable to others? Are you willing to
be a servant? Are you willing to serve Him, even if you get no worldy recognition? Are you
willing to give and give to those who He sends across your path even if they never say thank you
and leave when correction is given or when the going gets tough?
Yes there is a price to pay for serving the Master, but the blessings here and in the World to
Come/Olam Ha Ba far out weigh the sacrifices.
Do you love the Master Yeshua our Messiah Our King more then you love your family or even
your children? Don't you realize that He loves your children even more then you do? If He
calls you to sacrifice for His Kingdom, don't you think He knows how to take care of your
children as well? If you don't you do not know the Father heart of YHVW. As we serve Him, in
prayer we trust Him to take care of what concerns us.
Are you willing to be forsaken, humiliated, scorned by your friends and family because you
choose to be obedient to His Torah and Yeshua? Many are not. They like to "Play" with the
'Jewish" things, but they do not want to live what they represent or learn what they mean or
give up their traditions of men and be obediant to His Word.
He is using His Sword of His Ruach/Spirit to seperate the sheep from the goats. He is
beginning to seperate those who love Him and serve Him from the Heart, and those who are only
giving lip service. He is seperating those who want the "Burger King" Christiantiy where they
can have it their way, from those who are saying Thy Will Be Done, Not Mine!
This past Shabbat His presence was so strong in the Synagogue after Praise and Worship that
we literally were shaking in His Presence. Why? Because we had a group of people who are sold
out, in one accord, who entered into His presence with worship and whose hearts are crying out
for His Presence. One of the younger children said as we were praying she heard what sounded
like a Shofar.
We made the decision, that we were going to serve Him His way, not our way. We were not
85
going to be men pleasers, but please Him. It is only when we are totally sold out, and in one
accord as His Body that we will be like those who went before us in the early Messianic
Page
Community of Acts 2. The model we follow is that of the early Messianic Community who loved
Yeshua and The Torah and flowed in the Gifts of the Ruach HaKodesh. We are not ashamed to
make a joyful noice, dance before Him and let His Ruach have His way in our Services. We were
created to Worship Him in Spirit and In Truth.
Joh 14:21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me, and the one who
loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him."
2Co 4:5 For what we are proclaiming is not ourselves, but the Messiah Yeshua as Lord, with
ourselves as slaves for you because of Yeshua.
2Co 4:6 For it is the God who once said, "Let light shine out of darkness," who has made his
light shine in our hearts, the light of the knowledge of God's glory shining in the face of the
Messiah Yeshua.
2Co 4:7 But we have this treasure in clay jars, so that it will be evident that such overwhelming
power comes from God and not from us.
2Co 4:8 We have all kinds of troubles, but we are not crushed; we are perplexed, yet not in
despair;
2Co 4:9 persecuted, yet not abandoned; knocked down, yet not destroyed.
2Co 4:10 We always carry in our bodies the dying of Yeshua, so that the life of Yeshua may be
manifested in our bodies too.
2Co 4:11 For we who are alive are always being handed over to death for Yeshua's sake, so that
Yeshua's life also might be manifested in our mortal bodies.
2Co 4:12 Thus death is at work in us but life in you.

Devoted To Prayer
Act 1:3 After his death he showed himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was
alive. During a period of forty days they saw him, and he spoke with them about the Kingdom of
God.
Act 1:4 At one of these gatherings, he instructed them not to leave Yerushalayim but to "wait
for what the Father promised, which you heard about from me.
Act 1:5 For Yochanan used to immerse people in water; but in a few days, you will be immersed
in the Ruach HaKodesh!"
Act 1:6 When they were together, they asked him, "Lord, are you at this time going to restore
self-rule to Isra'el?"
Act 1:7 He answered, "You don't need to know the dates or the times; the Father has kept
these under his own authority.
Act 1:8 But you will receive power when the Ruach HaKodesh comes upon you; you will be my
witnesses both in Yerushalayim and in all Y'hudah and Shomron, indeed to the ends of the
earth!"
Act 1:14 These all devoted themselves single-mindedly to prayer, along with some women,
including Miryam (Yeshua's mother), and his brothers.
As we are counting the Omer we need to do as those who went before us who Devoted

Mat 6:5 "When you pray, don't be like the hypocrites, who love to pray standing in the

Mat 6:6 But you, when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father in

Mat 6:7 "And when you pray, don't babble on and on like the pagans, who think God will hear
them better if they talk a lot.
Mat 6:8 Don't be like them, because your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
Mat 6:9 You, therefore, pray like this: 'Our Father in heaven! May your Name be kept holy.
Mat 6:10 May your Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as in heaven.
Mat 6:11 Give us the food we need today.
Mat 6:12 Forgive us what we have done wrong, as we too have forgiven those who have wronged
us.
Mat 6:13 And do not lead us into hard testing, but keep us safe from the Evil One. [The latter
half of verse 13 is not found in the oldest manuscripts.] For kingship, power and glory are yours

(page 69-72, To Pray As A Jew; A Guide to the Prayer Book and and the Synagogue Service,
by Hayim Halevy Donin, Harper Collins Publishers, 1980).
Shemonah Esreh or Amidah - The Shmoneh Esreh is a beautifully simple prayer. Almost every
phrase has it's source in the Bible. Each blessing is a very ingenious collection of Biblical words
and phrases pieced together to form a new composition that reflects a broad spectrum of
personal needs, communal needs, and Jewish convictions.
The Shmoney Esreh is said while facing in the direction of in Eretz Israel. Worshipers in Eretz
Israel face towards Jerusalem. Worshipers in Jerusalem face the Temple Mount, where the
88
Temple (Beit HaMikdash) once stood. The Holy Ark in every synagogue is generally located so
Page
that when one faces the Ark, one is also standing in the proper direction...
The Shmoneh Esreh should be said quietly to oneself, based on the example set by Hannah,
whose praying lips moved, but her voice could not be heard" (I Sam 1;13). That is why the
Shmoneh Esreh is sometimes referred to as the "Silent Prayer".
Inasmuch as we also relate to God as the King of Kings, the Sovereign of the universe, no less
courtesy should be shown to Him than to mortal kings. The convention that prevailed in high
courts when approaching a king thus became the basis for several customs during worship: for
example, three small steps forward are taken before beginning the Shmoneh Esreh.
[This prayer is said three times per day, where each prayer service is in remembrance of the
temple sacrifices which cannot take place without the temple. In the morning and afternoon
service, is said once individually, and once corporately.] The public repetition was instituted for
the benefit of those who were not able to recite it properly. By listening attentively and
answering "Amen" at the end of each blessing, such worshipers are considered to have fulfilled
their prayer obligation.
Yeshua would have prayed this beautiful prayer that covers every area that you can think of to
pray about. The "Our Father' is thought to be a shortened version that Yeshua gave of the
Shemonah Esreh or Amidah.

Week 6 /Attribute 6 - Foundation/Bonding/Connection (Yesod)
He Is Our Foundation
Mat 7:24 "So, everyone who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a sensible
man who built his house on bedrock.
Mat 7:25 The rain fell, the rivers flooded, the winds blew and beat against that house, but it
didn't collapse, because its foundation was on rock.
Mat 7:26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not act on them will be like a
stupid man who built his house on sand.
Mat 7:27 The rain fell, the rivers flooded, the wind blew and beat against that house, and it
collapsed - and its collapse was horrendous!"
Mat 7:28 When Yeshua had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at the way he
taught,
Mat 7:29 for he was not instructing them like their Torah-teachers but as one who had
authority himself.
1Co 3:11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Yeshua the
Messiah.
1Co 3:12 Some will use gold, silver or precious stones in building on this foundation; while others
will use wood, grass or straw.
1Co 3:13 But each one's work will be shown for what it is; the Day will disclose it, because it will
be revealed by fire - the fire will test the quality of each one's work.
1Co 3:14 If the work someone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward;
1Co 3:15 if it is burned up, he will have to bear the loss: he will still escape with his life, but it
will be like escaping through a fire.
Eph 2:20 You have been built on the foundation of the emissaries and the prophets, with the
cornerstone being Yeshua the Messiah himself.
90
Eph 2:21 In union with him the whole building is held together, and it is growing into a holy
temple in union with the Lord.
Page
Eph 2:22 Yes, in union with him, you yourselves are being built together into a spiritual dwelling-
place for God!
The only way to build a firm foundation is by hearing and acting on the Words of our Master
Yeshua. How precious and valuable is His Word to you?
It is the Yesod/foundation of Yeshua that will pass the test of fire. Are you using Gold, Silver
and Precious Stones or wood hay and stubble?
John G. Lake once said "If you love reading about what others say about the Word more then
reading the Word yourself....you are backslidden" In other words you have lost your first
love. If you do not know the Word how are you going to know if that book you are reading about
the Word is correct?
Psa 19:7 The Torah of Adonai is perfect, restoring the inner person. The instruction of Adonai
is sure, making wise the thoughtless.
Psa 19:8 The precepts of Adonai are right, rejoicing the heart. The mitzvah of Adonai is pure,
enlightening the eyes.
Psa 19:9 The fear of Adonai is clean, enduring forever. The rulings of Adonai are true, they are
righteous altogether,
Psa 19:10 more desirable than gold, than much fine gold, also sweeter than honey or drippings
from the honeycomb.
Psa 19:11 Through them your servant is warned; in obeying them there is great reward.
If your foundation has become shaky, or maybe full of potholes and cracks because you have not
built your faith upon the Word it self, ask Him to bring restoration to your life and rekindle the
fire in your heart once again for His Word.

besides him there is no one else. Just as Yeshua and the Father are one we also by faith in
Yeshua as the Body of Messiah are one in Him. Yeshua is The Way, The Truth and The Life and
the only way to the Father and that there is one Father of all, YHVW/G-d . I believe in the
Triune nature of the One True G-d and that Yeshua is YHVW come in the Flesh"
Yeshua's prayer for us (John 17) was that we would be one, just as he and the Father are one.
He will make Israel One (Judah and Ephraim) again under His Kingship (Ezekial 37). We are
many in the Body, but there is only one Bride. When 2 people get married, they become one in
the Fathers eyes.
None of use knows everything, we each have been given a revelation as we study His Word and
when we come to together in the Body that revelation that each of us has, brings a more
complete understanding. Just like a jigsaw puzzle may have thousands of pieces, each of the
pieces put together make one picture, but if one piece of that puzzle is missing the picture is
not complete.
1 Corinthians 12 states that YHVW has given us each spiritual gifts, but the gifts are
95
incomplete until it comes together with other believers In Messiah. In other words we need

each other to complete the picture. A Messianic Community can not thrive or survive if there is
no unity and that unity must be based upon the Word of G-d and faith in Yeshua alone.

Yeshua Is YHVH, there is no doubt from these scriptures that the Great I AM is the
same one speaking in the Tanach as in the Brit HaDasha.
He is Mashiach, who came first (Aleph) as Messiah Ben Yosef and will return Last (Tav)
as Messiah Ben David. He is the author and finisher of our faith and our salvation. He
is our Master and Our King who was, and is, and is to come!

Principle #5 Deborah's Messianic Version
"I believe with complete faith that we are to pray to our Heavenly Father In The Name
of Yeshua our mediator and Messiah. To pray in His Name is to enter the Holy of Holies
because He is our Cohen HaGadol and it is In His Name that I may come before the very
throne of YHVW and sit at His feet and bring my prayers, my praise, my worship and my
thanksgiving to my Father before His very Throne."
There is nothing so sweet as spending time alone with our Father in prayer. There is
nothing so powerful then when we come together as a Community in prayer. We need
both. We need to spend time daily with the Father in prayer and we need to spend time
as a Community in prayer. Yeshua prayed alone and also prayed with His brethren and
Talmidim in the Synagogue.
When we come before His Throne we do not just barge through the door. We are to
enter His Gates with Thanksgiving and enter His courts with Praise. When we enter into
prayer, we are entering into the very Holy of Holies and we are in the very Presence of
THE KING. When we pray as a Messianic Community, we are also bonding together as
One In Messiah. We are bearing one anothers burdens and connecting with one
another as we come before The Throne Of Grace and are truly coming together as One
In Messiah.
Since Yeshua The Messiah is YHVW in the Flesh, He alone is the Mediator between G-d
and man. Praying to Yeshua is not a violation of this Jewish principle of prayer since
He Himself is The YHVW Almighty. To pray in His Name is to be able to come into the
Holy of Holies because of the Blood of the Covenant. You can not go into the Holy of
Holies with being covered by the blood of Yeshua our Sacrifice. To pray in Yeshua's
Name is to say I am able to enter the Throne room because a sacrifice has been made on
my behalf.

Heb 9:11 But when the Messiah appeared as cohen gadol of the good things that are

happening already, then, through the greater and more perfect Tent which is not man-
made (that is, it is not of this created world),
Heb 9:12 he entered the Holiest Place once and for all. And he entered not by means of
the blood of goats and calves, but by means of his own blood, thus setting people free
forever.
Heb 9:13 For if sprinkling ceremonially unclean persons with the blood of goats and bulls
and the ashes of a heifer restores their outward purity;
Heb 9:14 then how much more the blood of the Messiah, who, through the eternal Spirit,
offered himself to God as a sacrifice without blemish, will purify our conscience from
works that lead to death, so that we can serve the living God!
Heb 10:19 So, brothers, we have confidence to use the way into the Holiest Place opened
by the blood of Yeshua.
Heb 10:20 He inaugurated it for us as a new and living way through the parokhet, by
means of his flesh.
Heb 10:21 We also have a great cohen over God's household.
Heb 10:22 Therefore, let us approach the Holiest Place with a sincere heart, in the full
assurance that comes from trusting - with our hearts sprinkled clean from a bad
conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
We have been immersed in The Mikveh and Cleansed by the blood of Yeshua and can now
enter into the Holiest Place as His Chosen, Set Apart People, His Holy Priesthood, His
Holy Nation - Israel.

Deu 13:3(13:4) thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or unto that

Deu 13:4(13:5) After the LORD your God shall ye walk, and Him shall ye fear, and His

Him from the Excellent Glory: "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
2Pe 1:18 And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the

2Pe 1:19 And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a
light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your
hearts;
2Pe 1:20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private
interpretation,
2Pe 1:21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they
were moved by the Holy Spirit.
Joh 5:39You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these

If we truly believe the words of the prophets are true, then we should read them and
take head to what they are saying because they still speak to us today and they speak of
Messiah. There are still prophecy's to be fullfilled today regarding the end times, Israel
and Yeshua's return. If you do not know the Word then you can be deceived by those
who call themselves prophets/proclaimers of the Word, but are not. Yeshua warned us of
this (false prophets and false messiahs) in Matthew 24, because Yeshua is The Chief
Prophet of the Word, and as our Messiah and King we need to heed what He is saying to
His Body.
Act 3:18 But this is how God fulfilled what he had announced in advance, when he spoke
through all the prophets, namely, that his Messiah was to die.
Act 3:19 "Therefore, repent and turn to God, so that your sins may be erased;
Act 3:20 so that times of refreshing may come from the Lord's presence; and he may
send the Messiah appointed in advance for you, that is, Yeshua.
Act 3:21 He has to remain in heaven until the time comes for restoring everything, as God
said long ago, when he spoke through the holy prophets.
Act 3:22 For Moshe himself said,'Adonai will raise up for you a prophet like me from
among your brothers. You are to listen to everything he tells you.
Act 3:23 Everyone who fails to listen to that prophet will be removed from the people
and destroyed.'
Act 3:24 Indeed, all the prophets announced these days, starting with Sh'mu'el and
continuing through all who followed.
Act 3:25 "You are the sons of the prophets; and you are included in the covenant which
God made with our fathers when he said to Avraham, 'By your seed will all the families of
the earth be blessed.'
Act 3:26 So it is to you first that God has sent his servant whom he has raised up, so
that he might bless you by turning each one of you from your evil ways."

"I believe with complete faith that the prophecy of Moses our teacher, peace upon him,
was true and that he was the Father of the prophets"
Rabinical Judaism believes that the superlative agent of divine revelation was Moses, but
forget that Moses, in his own words said that a Prophet would arise in the acharit ha-
yamim (last days) "like unto him" that would reveal the Word of YHVW to Israel.
Referring to the Messiah Yeshua. It was G-d who gave the Torah to Moses and showed
Moses through the Torah Messiah who was to come.

Heb 3:1 Therefore, brothers whom God has set apart, who share in the call from heaven,

think carefully about Yeshua, whom we acknowledge publicly as God's emissary and as
cohen gadol.
Heb 3:2 He was faithful to God, who appointed him; just as "Moshe was faithful in all
God's house."
Heb 3:3 But Yeshua deserves more honor than Moshe, just as the builder of the house
deserves more honor than the house.
Heb 3:4 For every house is built by someone, but the one who built everything is God.
Heb 3:5 Also, Moshe was faithful in all God's house, as a servant giving witness to things
God would divulge later.
Heb 3:6 But the Messiah, as Son, was faithful over God's house. And we are that house
of his, provided we hold firmly to the courage and confidence inspired by what we hope
for.
There are at least 79 verses in the Brit Hadasha that refer to Moses, and the Brit
Hadasah writters never took away from Moses greatness. But they also knew that the
Torah given to Moses pointed to Yeshua who is the Word made flesh. John 1:1
Yeshua is greater then Moses because Yeshua is YHVH in the flesh and all the types and
shadows of the Tabernacle and sacrifices in the Torah pointed to Him. The words of the
Tenack prophets pointed to Him as well and David himself, the greatest King of Israel
who was a Prophet as well, knew there was a King greater then him to come and that He
was reveled in the Torah given to Moese and that King was Messiah Yeshua.
Joh 1:17 For the Torah was given through Moshe; grace and truth came through Yeshua
the Messiah.
Joh 1:18 No one has ever seen God; but the only and unique Son, who is identical with God
and is at the Father's side - he has made him known.
It is safe to say that Moses was the greatest of the Tenack/Torah, Prophets and
Writtings, however I am sure that Moses himself would deny that he was the greatest,
because he looked forward to the Messiah, who is Yeshua who was to come. We must
remember that the Torah points to Yeshua and that we are to walk in Torah obedience
through the grace of Yeshua the Messiah. Yeshua is the author of Torah and taught
Torah so all Torah study must be studied as Yeshua taught it. It is very easy to get
caught up in being legalistic, but Yeshua said that His Torah was not a burden.
It is only through the power of the Ruach HaKodesh that Yeshua sent on Shavuot that
we can walk in the Spirit of Torah and avoid legalism. One of the expectations of
Messiah was that He would come and correctly teach the Torah. Yeshua did just that!
He did not do away with it, but came to show us how to live it through Him. At Shavuot
109
the Torah has now been written upon the hearts of those who love Him and it is a natural
expression of our faith to walk in Torah obedience because we love Him.
Page
We are to pattern our lives after Yeshua and walk in His footsteps, and sit at His
feet. Moses as great a prophet he was, knew there was one greater then him to come.
Yeshua's life was perfect and sinless and He walked in perfect Torah obedience that was
given to Moses through Him.
Yeshua revealed the Word of YHVW to Israel when He walked this earth and He is still
doing so today as we study His Word the Ruach HaKodesh continues to give us revelation
knowledge daily.
"I believe with complete faith that Yeshua is the prophet and Messiah that Moses spoke
about that would reveal the Word of YHVW/Torah to Israel. Moses was the vessel that
G-d choose to use to give His Torah/Teachings and instruction to Israel, and Yeshua was
G-d's vessel who brought grace and truth to Israel along with Torah. As Moses was
faithful In G-d's House, Yeshua is faithful over G-d's house. Yeshua deserves more honor
then Moses because Yeshua was the builder of that House, and we are that House"
Even Moses Himself would agree with the words of Yochanon the Immerser/John The
Baptist..
Joh 1:14 The Word became a human being and lived with us, and we saw his Sh'khinah, the
Sh'khinah of the Father's only Son, full of grace and truth.
Joh 1:15 Yochanan witnessed concerning him when he cried out, "This is the man I was
talking about when I said, 'The one coming after me has come to rank ahead of me,
because he existed before me.' "
Joh 1:16 We have all received from his fullness, yes, grace upon grace.
Joh 1:17 For the Torah was given through Moshe; grace and truth came through Yeshua
the Messiah.

Yeshua confirms that the Torah will not be done away with.
"Through Yeshua's teachings run the underlying assumption that God's covenant people
are to have a living meaningful and on going relationship to Torah. In other words in
Yeshua's thinking, one of the Torah's main purposes is to describe the lifestyle of the

Mat 5:17 "Don't think that I have come to abolish the Torah or the Prophets. I have
come not to abolish but to complete.
Mat 5:18 Yes indeed! I tell you that until heaven and earth pass away, not so much as a
yud ( ) יor a stroke will pass from the Torah - not until everything that must happen has
happened.
Mat 5:19 So whoever disobeys the least of these mitzvot and teaches others to do so will
be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But whoever obeys them and so teaches will
be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Yeshua clearly is stating that Torah needs to be obeyed and taught. Contrary to popular
teaching in traditional Churches, Yeshua did not come to do away with the Torah! He
lived the Torah, He taught the Torah, He was and is the Living Torah.
Are we studying to do? Or are we looking for the loop holes as an excuse not to obey His
Word?
Deu 28:1 "If you listen closely to what Adonai your God says, observing and obeying all
his mitzvot which I am giving you today, Adonai your God will raise you high above all the
nations on earth;
Deu 28:2 and all the following blessings will be yours in abundance - if you will do what
Adonai your God says:
Deu 28:15 "But if you refuse to pay attention to what Adonai your God says, and do not
observe and obey all his mitzvot and regulations which I am giving you today, then all the
following curses will be yours in abundance:
His Torah shows us His standard of righteousness and holiness. A standard that we all
have fallen short of His standard of righteusness, but through Yeshua we can now walk in
obedience to Torah because He satisifed the righteous requirement for us.
Walking in obedience to His Word is a joy and a priviledge. I am not looking for loop
holes in the Law/Torah, but I am saying Yes and Amen!
"I believe with perfect faith that Yeshua did not come to do away with Torah. The Torah
is eternal and is the foundation on which the entire Word is established from Genesis to
Page
Revelation. Yeshua came to correctly teach us the Eternal Torah and to show us the
Father and fulfilled the demands of the Torah for us. Through Him we can walk in
obedience to Torah without condemnation but with joy. His Shabbat is eternal, His
Feasts are eternal, His Word stands forever"
Shavuot is about recieving of the Torah on Mt Sinai and in our hearts. There are great
blessings in obeying His Torah. That is why these past weeks we have been examining our
hearts and repenting of doubt, unbelief and disobedience.
Psa 19:7 The Torah of Adonai is perfect, restoring the inner person. The instruction of

Psa 19:8 The precepts of Adonai are right, rejoicing the heart. The mitzvah of Adonai is

"I believe with complete faith that the Creator, blessed be He, rewards good to those

2Th 1:4 Therefore, we boast about you in the congregations of God because of your
perseverance and trust in all the persecutions and troubles you are going through.
2Th 1:5 This is clear evidence that God's judgment is just; and as a result, you will be
counted worthy of the Kingdom of God for which you are suffering.
2Th 1:6 For it is justice for God to pay back trouble to those who are troubling you,
2Th 1:7 and to give rest along with us to you who are being troubled, when the Lord
Yeshua is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels
2Th 1:8 in a fiery flame. Then he will punish those who don't know God, that is, those who
don't listen to the Good News of our Lord Yeshua and obey it.
2Th 1:9 They will suffer the just penalty of eternal destruction, far away from the face
of the Lord and the glory of his might.
2Th 1:10 On that Day, when he comes to be glorified by his holy people and admired by all
who have trusted, you will be among them, because you trusted our witness to you.
2Th 1:11 With this in view, we always pray for you that our God may make you worthy of
his calling and may fulfill by his power every good purpose of yours and every action
117
in accordance with the grace of our God and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah.
Even though at times it looks like the wicked are winning, in the end our righteous King
will judge those who have rejected His Word and have persecuted His people Israel.
He never promised us that we would not suffer, or have tribulation, or be popular, but He
did promise us that in the end that the wicked will face their judge finally. G-d is the one
who will pay back our enemies, they will face eternity in Hell ( I know that is not popular
to teach anymore, but it's the truth) and we will spend eternity ruling and reigning with
Messiah.
Rev 2:11 Those who have ears, let them hear what the Spirit is saying to the Messianic
communities. He who wins the victory will not be hurt at all by the seconddeath." '
Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is anyone who has a part in the first resurrection; over him the
seconddeath has no power. On the contrary, they will be cohanim of God and of the
Messiah, and they will rule with him for the thousand years.
Rev 20:14 Then Death and Sh'ol were hurled into the lake of fire. This is the
seconddeath - the lake of fire.
Rev 21:8 But as for the cowardly, the untrustworthy, the vile, the murderers, the
sexually immoral, those involved with the occult and with drugs, idol-worshippers, and all
liars - their destiny is the lake burning with fire and sulfur, the seconddeath."
It is not G-d's will or pleasure for any man to perish. He is daily pleading with mankind
through The Word and His Ruach HaKodesh to repent/Teshuvah and return to Him.
Yet,there will be many who will face an eternity away from Him, that would not have to if
only they would repent and bow their knee to Him.
We need to continually preach the truth of His Word to whoever He sends our way, that
today is the day of salvation because tomorrow may never come.
Let us diligently be praying for those who do not know Messiah Yeshua, especially our
loved ones, and that they will find the same Shalom, Grace and Mercy that we have found
In Messiah.
Yeshua The Messiah also taught that there is a reward for the faithful and punishment
for the unbelieving. Read Matthew 5

Psa 1:1 How blessed are those who reject the advice of the wicked, don't stand on the
way of sinners or sit where scoffers sit!
Psa 1:2 Their delight is in Adonai's Torah; on his Torah they meditate day and night.
Psa 1:3 They are like trees planted by streams - they bear their fruit in season, their
leaves never wither, everything they do succeeds.
Psa 1:4 Not so the wicked, who are like chaff driven by the wind.
Psa 1:5 For this reason the wicked won't stand up to the judgment, nor will sinners at the

Psa 1:6 For Adonai watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked is

Act 1:11 The men said, "You Galileans! Why are you standing, staring into space? This
Yeshua, who has been taken away from you into heaven, will come back to you in just the
same way as you saw him go into heaven."
Israel (and if you are a believer in Messiah that includes you) is the Bride. Our
Bridegroom gave us a marriage contract called "Torah'. Yeshua came and renewed that
Marriage contract as the Bridegroom because Israel had broken the covenant and
contract, G-d never broke the covenant, Israel did by her unfaithfullness. But through
His Grace and Mercy He has renewed that covenant with Israel through the blood of
Messiah.
120
The "Christian Church" has not and never will replace Israel. Instead through Messiah
they have been grafted INTO the Olive Tree of Israel. It is through Messiah that we
have been grafted into the Olive Tree of Israel. It is also through Messiah Yeshua, that

Judah and Ephraim are restored and become ONE STICK IN HIS HAND (Ezekial 37).
G-ds covenants are only with Israel, and if you are In Messiah, then you are also a part of
the covenants of Israel. It is only through Messiah Yeshua that ALL Israel can be
restored-Judah, Ephraim, which includesThe Nations who have been grafted in as well.
Ephesians 5:25-27
A Jewish Bride goes through a Mikveh in preperation for her wedding day.
Eph 5:25 As for husbands, love your wives, just as the Messiah loved the Messianic
Community, indeed, gave himself up on its behalf,
Eph 5:26 in order to set it apart for God, making it clean through immersion in the
mikveh, so to speak,
Eph 5:27 in order to present the Messianic Community to himself as a bride to be proud
of, without a spot, wrinkle or any such thing, but holy and without defect.
Eze 16:8 " 'Again I passed by you, looked at you and saw that your time had come, the
time for love. So I spread my cloak over you to cover your private parts and entered into

Eze 16:9 Then I bathed you in water, washed the blood off you, and anointed you with oil.
We are the Bride of Messiah and we also need to go through the Mikveh in preperation
for our Wedding Day, when we will be joined with our Messiah Yeshua under the Chupah.
His Word Mikveh's us and washes us clean. His Blood makes our wedding garments as
white as snow.
As His Bride we are to eagerly await the return of our Bridegroom. Are we wise or
foolish virgins, are our lamps filled with oil or are they empty. Are we watching for His
return, or have we been enticed with other suiters, those who would try to turn us away
from our TRUE Bridegroom and His Torah/Marriage Contract sealed by His Blood?

Mat 25:1"Then the kingdom of heaven will be comparable to ten virgins, who took their

Mat 25:3"For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them,
Mat 25:4but the prudent took oil in flasks along with their lamps.
Mat 25:5"Now while the bridegroom was delaying, they all got drowsy and began to sleep.
Mat 25:6"But at midnight there was a shout, 'Behold, the bridegroom! Come out to meet
him.'
Mat 25:7"Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps.
Mat 25:8"The foolish said to the prudent, 'Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are
going out.'
Mat 25:9"But the prudent answered, 'No, there will not be enough for us and you too; go
instead to the dealers and buy some for yourselves.'
Mat 25:10"And while they were going away to make the purchase, the bridegroom came,
and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast; and the door was shut.
Mat 25:11"Later the other virgins also came, saying, 'Lord, lord, open up for us.'
Mat 25:12"But he answered, 'Truly I say to you, I do not know you.'
Mat 25:13"Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour.

Are we ready for the Wedding Day? Do we long for His return? Do we believe with
complete faith that He will come back just as He promised He would?

"I believe with complete faith that there will be a resurrection of the dead, when the
Creator so wills, blessed be his Name and exalted be his remembrance forever and for all
eternity"
***********************************************************
Pirkei Avot 4:22-'Those who are born are destined to die, and those who die are
destined to live"
The Resurrection of the dead is a major doctrine of Orthodox Judaism and Christianity
and well as those of us who are Messianic Believers. The faith in Ressurection back to
life goes all the way back to Abraham, when he was told to sacrifice Issac (Genesis 22:1-
14), it was his faith in the one who he knew had the power to bring His son back to life
from death.
Heb 11:17 By trusting, Avraham, when he was put to the test, offered up Yitz'chak as a
124
sacrifice. Yes, he offered up his only son, he who had received the promises,
Heb 11:18 to whom it had been said, "What is called your 'seed' will be in Yitz'chak."
Page
Heb 11:19 For he had concluded that God could even raise people from the dead! And,
figuratively speaking, he did so receive him.
Yeshua gave us a taste of the Ressurection by bringing Lazarus back to life from death!
Joh 11:23 Yeshua *said to her, "Your brother will rise again."
Joh 11:24 Martha *said to Him, "I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the
last day."
Joh 11:25 Yeshua said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me
will live even if he dies,
Joh 11:26and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?"
Joh 11:39 Yeshua*said, "Remove the stone." Martha, the sister of the deceased, *said to
Him, "Lord, by this time there will be a stench, for he has been dead four days."
Joh 11:40 Yeshua*said to her, "Did I not say to you that if you believe, you will see the
glory of God?"
Joh 11:41 So they removed the stone. Then Yeshua raised His eyes, and said, "Father, I
thank You that You have heard Me.
Joh 11:42"I knew that You always hear Me; but because of the people standing around I
said it, so that they may believe that You sent Me."
Joh 11:43 When He had said these things, He cried out with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come
forth."
Joh 11:44 The man who had died came forth, bound hand and foot with wrappings, and his
face was wrapped around with a cloth. Yeshua *said to them, "Unbind him, and let him go."
Joh 11:45 Therefore many of the Jews who came to Mary, and saw what He had done,
believed in Him.
1Th 4:13 Now, brothers, we want you to know the truth about those who have died;
otherwise, you might become sad the way other people
1Th 4:14 do who have nothing to hope for. For since we believe that Yeshua died and rose
again, we also believe that in the same way God, through Yeshua, will take with him those
who have died.
1Th 4:15 When we say this, we base it on the Lord's own word: we who remain alive when
the Lord comes will certainly not take precedence over those who have died.
125
1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a rousing cry, with a call
from one of the ruling angels, and with God's shofar; those who died united with the

1Co 15:51 Look, I will tell you a secret - not all of us will die! But we will all be changed!
1Co 15:52 It will take but a moment, the blink of an eye, at the final shofar. For the
shofar will sound, and the dead will be raised to live forever, and we too will be changed.
1Co 15:53 For this material which can decay must be clothed with imperishability, this
which is mortal must be clothed with immortality.
1Co 15:54 When what decays puts on imperishability and what is mortal puts on
immortality, then this passage in the Tanakh will be fulfilled: "Death is swallowed up in

Refrain:
Bringing in the sheaves, bringing in the sheaves,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves;
Bringing in the sheaves, bringing in the sheaves,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.
We are coming close to Shavuot, what matters most, is not when we began to count the
Omer after Passover, (because that argument has been going on since Yeshua's days) but
are we walking in the Love of Messiah towards one another. Man looks at the outside,
but YHVH/G-d looks are our hearts. Are we going to be rejoicing at the Feast of
Shavuot and thanking him for His Torah, For Yeshua and for His Ruach HaKodesh that He
gave us? Or are we going to let the enemy steal our joy, by being critical and self-
righteous towards one another.
During this 49 days of counting the Omer/Sheaves, have we emptied ourselfs of self, so
we can be filled with Him?
Bitter Fruit:
Gal 5:17 For the old nature wants what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit wants
what is contrary to the old nature. These oppose each other, so that you find yourselves
unable to carry out your good intentions.
Gal 5:18 But if you are led by the Spirit, then you are not in subjection to the system
that results from perverting the Torah into legalism.
Gal 5:19 And it is perfectly evident what the old nature does. It expresses itself in
sexual immorality, impurity and indecency;
Gal 5:20 involvement with the occult and with drugs; in feuding, fighting, becoming
jealous and getting angry; in selfish ambition, factionalism, intrigue
Gal 5:21 and envy; in drunkenness, orgies and things like these. I warn you now as I have
warned you before: those who do such things will have no share in the Kingdom of God!
Sweet Fruit:
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness,
Gal 5:23 humility, self control. Nothing in the Torah stands against such things.
129
Gal 5:24 Moreover, those who belong to the Messiah Yeshua have put their old nature to
death on the stake, along with its passions and desires.
Page
Gal 5:25 Since it is through the Spirit that we have Life, let it also be through the Spirit
that we order our lives day by day.
Gal 5:26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
Here we have a story of selfless love, devotion to family, devotion to the G-d of Israel
and a woman who was a convert to the G-d of Israel, wife, widow, lover, dauther-in-law,
friend who became the great-great-grandmother of Kind David himself, and is named in
the geneology of Yeshua.
The story of Ruth takes place during the feast of Shavuot. She was not from the seed of
Avraham, but from the nations, a Moabite, but today she is considered just as much a
part of Israel, and a Jew, as any who was natural born. Isn't this a beautiful picture of
the Wild Olive Branch being grafted into the Olive Tree? Boaz being from the seed of
Avraham 'The Natural Branch'and Ruth being the "Wild Olive Branch" from the nations,
when they married they became one, (a picture of the the 2 sticks-becoming One Stick
In His Hand-Romans 11) and from that union came King David.....King Yeshua.
Rth 1:16 But Rut said, "Don't press me to leave you and stop following you; for wherever
you go, I will go; and wherever you stay, I will stay. Your people will be my people and your
God will be my God.
Rth 1:17 Where you die, I will die; and there I will be buried. May Adonai bring terrible
curses on me, and worse ones as well, if anything but death separates you and me."
Her love was unconditional in every way and she totally identified with the G-d of Israel
and His people. Now that is Sweet Spiritual Fruit!
Boaz is also a picture of a man, who wanted to do what was right according to Torah in
marrying Ruth, by becoming her Kinsman Redeemer, a type of Messiah our Redeemer.
Rth 4:8 So the redeemer said to Bo`az, "Buy it for yourself," and took off his shoe.
Rth 4:9 Bo`az addressed the leaders and all the people: "You are witnesses today that I
am purchasing from Na`omi all that belonged to Elimelekh and all that belonged to Kilyon
and Machlon.
Rth 4:10 Also I am acquiring as my wife Rut the woman from Mo'av, the wife of Machlon,
in order to raise up in the name of the deceased an heir for his property; so that the
name of the deceased will not be cut off from his kinsmen and from the gate of his place.
You are witnesses today."
Rth 4:11 All the people at the gate and the leaders said, "We are witnesses. May Adonai
130
make the woman who has come into your house like Rachel and like Le'ah, who between
them built up the house of Isra'el. Do worthy deeds in Efrat; become renowned in Beit-
Page
Lechem.
Rth 4:12 May your house, because of the seed Adonai will give you from this young woman,
become like the house of Peretz, whom Tamar bore to Y'hudah."
Rth 4:13 So Bo`az took Rut, and she became his wife. He had sexual relations with her,
Adonai enabled her to conceive, and she gave birth to a son.
Rth 4:14 Then the women said to Na`omi, "Blessed be Adonai, who today has provided you
a redeemer! May his name be renowned in Isra'el.
Rth 4:15 May he restore your life and provide for your old age; for your daughter-in-law,
who loves you and is better to you than seven sons, has given birth to him."
Mat 1:5 Salmon was the father of Bo`az (his mother was Rachav), Bo`az was the father
of `Oved (his mother was Rut), `Oved was the father of Yishai,
Mat 1:6 Yishai was the father of David the king
Mat 1:16 Ya`akov was the father of Yosef the husband of Miryam, from whom was born
the Yeshua who was called the Messiah.
It is a beautiful Love story, but the greatest Love Story of them all is between Yeshua
and His Bride. May we have a heart like Ruth (woman) and righteous ways as Boaz (men).
That our children can look back at our lives, and say "they were truly men and woman of
G-d and it was because of their examples that I am serving Yeshua today"
Sabbath Prayer
As the counting of the Omer ends at Shavuot, it is a time to rejoice and give thanks for
HisTorah and The Ruach HaKodesh.
John 13:16-17
16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper,
Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you
forever-
17 The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart),
because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him,
for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you.

Language of the Soul
By: Jay Litvin
After the Children of Israel left Egypt, 49 days passed before they received the Ten
Commandments at Mount Sinai. Tradition teaches that each of these days was necessary
for the Children of Israel to refine themselves and be worthy of this gift. On each day
they examined and corrected another of their inner traits and qualities. There were 49 in
all.
These forty nine traits were comprised of seven basic attributes. Each of the seven
132
Jewish sources tell us that the soul of man includes these seven Basic Attributes:
Page
* Love/Kindness (Chessed)
* Vigor/Discipline (Gevurah)
* Beauty/Harmony/Compassion (Tiferet)
* Victory/Endurance/Determination (Netzach)
* Humility/Devotion (Hod)
* Foundation/Bonding/Connection (Yesod)
* Majesty/Dignity (Malchut)
*********************************************************************
These 7 virtues are a perfect picture of Yeshua our Messiah and it is His desire that we
be conformed to His image by the power of the Ruach HaKodesh. Hopefully these 7
weeks have been a blessed time for you to grow more spiritual fruit in your life and die
more and more to the works of the flesh that He will be glorified in the Life He
Has given us.

HOW'S YOUR FRUIT GROWING?
Galatians 5:22-26
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, 23 humility, self control. Nothing in the Torah stands against such things.
24 Moreover, those who belong to the Messiah Yeshua have put their old nature to death
on the stake, along with its passions and desires. 25 Since it is through the Spirit that we
have Life, let it also be through the Spirit that we order our lives day by day.
26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.[3]
11 Peter 1:1-11
133
2 May grace and shalom be yours in full measure, as you come to a full knowledge of God
and Yeshua our Lord.
3 God's power has given us everything we need for life and godliness, through our
knowing the One who called us to his own glory and goodness.
4 By these he has given us valuable and superlatively great promises, so that through
them you might come to share in God's nature and escape the corruption which evil
desires have brought into the world.
5 For this very reason, try your hardest to furnish your faith with goodness, goodness
with knowledge,
8 For if you have these qualities in abundance, they keep you from being barren and
unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.
9 Indeed, whoever lacks them is blind, so shortsighted that he forgets that his past sins
have been washed away.
10 Therefore, brothers, try even harder to make your being called and chosen a
certainty. For if you keep doing this, you will never stumble.
11 Thus you will be generously supplied with everything you need to enter the eternal
Kingdom of our Lord and Deliverer, Yeshua the Messiah.[4]
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
4 Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with
jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.
5 It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and
134
does not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its
own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no
