Ex 10G:
9) Given:
Cost of one pair of shoe = 1190.90/-
Cost of one pair of socks = 30.15/-
Cost of a t-shirt = 495.5/-
Find:
Total money spent by Mr. Gopal = ?
Sol:
Price spent on shoes = 2 x 1190.9 = 2381.8/-
Price spent on socks = 30.15 x 4 = 120.6/-
Price spent on t-shirt = 6 x 495.5 = 2973/-
So,
Total money spent = (2381.8 + 120.6 + 2973)/- = 5475.4/- (Ans)

An automobile costs 10,00,345.5463/-. If the insurance added on the automobile is
25% of the cost of the automobile, find the total amount that has to be paid for the
automobile
Solution:
The length of a cuboid is 5 times the diameter of a circle, while the height of the
cuboid 3 times the radius of the same circle. Now if the radius of the circle is 6cm
and the breadth of the cuboid is equal to 20cm, find the area of the circle and
volume of the cuboid
Given:
Radius of the circle = 6cm
Diameter of the circle = 2 x 6 = 12cm
Length of the cuboid = 5 x 12 = 60cm
Breadth of the cuboid = 20cm
Height of the cuboid = 6 x 3 = 18cm
Sol:
So, the area of the circle = pi x radius x radius = (22/7) x 6 x 6 = 113.14 sq. cm (Ans)
And, volume of the cuboid = l x b x h = 60 x 20 x 18 = 21,600 cu. cm (Ans)
