RUSH news

Andrew and Lucy have sent a wonderful letter with all the latest news from RUSH, the major charity that Springfield supports. Will has posted it on his blog, and your smartphone can access it directly from the QR code on the right. Otherwise go to willcookson.wordpress.com or from the link on the front page of the Springfield website There are also some hard copies on the tables if you prefer. If you would like details of sponsoring a child through RUSH, please contact Wendy Littlemore who co-ordinates this .

Keeping our community in contact


Our new family list is being finalised in two weeks time, so if you have any changes or additions, please let the office or welcome desk know. The office is shut next Thursday and Friday, then our staff are away for three days from 3rd to 5th of July, so we will respond as quickly as possible to all answerphone and email messages. Do drop into cafe connect on a Monday morning in Shotfield Library Cafe form 10.30 to 12 noon where there will be at least one member of staff to talk to.

Ordinations
Next Sunday, 1st of July, Springfields very own curate, Donna Lazenby, is going to be priested at Croydon Minster (formerly Croydon Parish Church, near Reeves Corner). The service is at 4.00 pm and we would love you to join us to d support her on this momentous occasion, so please mark it in your diary. Please pray for Donna as she prepares, and also pray for Sue Cooke who is being ordained as a curate in Christchurch Cathedral, Oxford on the day before.

Venue Change!
The next team training session is on 7th July from 9.30 - 12.30 at HighView school. +CHANGE OF DATE+ The set up for holiday club is now on the Sunday 29th July from 1 to 5 pm at High View School Trish King returns to Guatemala to work with Centro Esdras for 8 months at the end of June. To help raise funds for the charity and to say goodbye , join her after the service today with food to share for a fun time together with music & games It will be in the dry at St Pauls, Roundshaw from 12.30

Trish to settle well in Guatemala, for God's protection and provision For the community of Roundshaw; particularly families coping with financial and family pressures For God's leading of us as a congregation in reaching the local community

Ladies Disco
The Swan Cell have organised a ladies disco on July 6th. Its a great place to bring your friends for the evening so ask the cell members for invites and tickets. The website has a flyer with details which you can visit using this QR code, or via the Springfield website
