INCEPTION
Justdial was founded by V.S.S. Mani and performs in the capacity of the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Justdial Android application was introduced by the company in 2011. Available 24*7 on two national numbers 08888888888 and 69999999 the phone search is accessible across India. Justdial had launched its first local search engine in the year 2007 in India. The Mobile version of Justdial, launched in August 2007

Where did the Idea Come from


Dropped CA exam due to poor financial health of his family Joined Yellow Pages Company called United Database India in 1987 for sales job While working there, he thought why not to have something like this over the phone? In 1989 he had started a company called Ask Me Worked on different ideas to survive between 1992 to 1996 Wanted to save money to start Just Dial Started Just Dial, with number 8888 8888, borrowed some furniture, rented PCs and with a capital of Rs 50,000!
