DIGITAL CODE LOCK

INTRODUCTION

Digital Code Lock using PIC16F627 is a basic control system


with an ability that allows the rightful user to deploy platform
to any property that require simple password protection.

This code can be changed by the user. This circuit is


eminently suitable as a digital code lock.

Digital code lock is a type of lock in which a sequence


numbers is used to open the lock.

This type of lock use numerical code for authentication where


the correct code must be entered in order for the lock to
deactivate.

The lock can be use with an outdoor gate or a normal door.


The functionality of this lock implemented in software.

When the correct code is entered it will open the


door. The significant of this project is first
eliminating the need for a key.
When there is no key, it will allow each person who
lives at a residence to enter home without a key.
The lost and forgotten keys are problems of the
past.
Hence using the digital code lock it will reduce the
risk and liability of keys falling into wrong hands as
a result being stolen or duplicate.
The digital code lock, changing access code is more
cost effective then the process of changing all
keyed lock.

PROBLEM
STATEMENT

There are great varieties of


digital code locks. Generally
speaking, they can be
classified into scores of type,
such as electronic lock,
fingerprint lock, card lock
biological lock, etc.

Among them the most


practical and the most
popularized one come to
digital code lock.

On the premise that its safety


is high, its another feature
without key is getting more
and more favour of people.

This kind of lock can


avoiding the problems
caused by the copying of
keys.

It is because the keys people


carry have become burden
most of the time, but by
contrast people need only to
remember a set of codes for
electronics locks and dont
have to carry any key, thus
freeing themselves from
worries.

OBJECTIVES

To avoid any
crimes
especially
stealing
activities.

To help users
and give
them favour
to go
anywhere.

The
objectives
of our
project are
listed as
above:

To design a
keyless door
entry by
using
electronic
digital lock
code.

SCOPE
OF
PROJECT

Projects do not need


complex and not too
short according to the
study and it should
relate to the study
basic idea and
operation of Digital
Code Lock.

The project produced


must involve the use of
components and
circuits have been
studied and
understood.

The project identifies the


suitable type of PIC
microcontroller for the
project to developed
interfacing link between
hardware circuit and
software programming.

The project displayed


the code and signal,
when success LCD
screen display code
accepted.

PROJECT
IMPLEMENTATION

Circuit Design and Drawing


- Research the circuit
- Study the component and material
- Simulate the circuit
- Construct the circuit

Programming the PIC


Select the language to use for
microcontroller

- Write the program code


- Debug and check the error
- Compile the code

Board Construction
- Drawing the circuit (Proteus Software)

- Wiring circuit (protoboard)

software parts. Figure below shows block

CONCLUSION

When we completed this


project, we had learned
and understand the
process of constructing
the Digital Code
This digital code lock is
therefore particularly
useful in applications
such as hotel room
door locks, residential
housing and even
office buildings.
We feel that this digital
code lock is very
marketable because it
is easy to use,
comparatively
inexpensive due to low
power consumption
and highly reliable.

The biggest hurdle we


had to overcome with
this project was
interfacing the
microcontroller with the
hardware components.

Lock which contained


hardware and software
development. We also
know and understand
the microcontroller PIC
and how to implement
it on my project.

Designing code lock


very interesting for us
where we can get
involve in
programming
environment seriously.

Our digital code lock


performed as expected.
We were able to
implement all the
functions specified in our
proposal.

RECOMMENDATION

Digitalcodelockis
useful
insociety.Therefore,
it shouldbe
expandedso that the
communitycan
usewhereverthey
areas well asusing
acodelockon
thevehicle orthe
like.

There are few


suggestions
appear after
completing
several stages of
this project
based on some
problems that
we find:
For the sake ofthe
future,digitalcode
lockshould beadded
with siren whenhave
a burglarypassword.

Digitalcode lockmay
need to limitthe
number
ofpasswordentry
attemptsto reduce
the riskforbrokeninpassword.
