What I can do to save energy
Saving energy means decreasing the
amount of energy used while achieving a
similar outcome of end use. Using less
energy has lots of benefits You can save
money and help the environment.

Therefore, using less energy

helps us to preserve these
resources and make them last
longer in the future.
Why is it important to save energy?

If people use less energy,

there is less pressure to
increase the available supply
of energy, for example by
constructing new power
plants, or by importing
energy from a different
country.
One of the pillars of the fight against
energy dependence is energy saving.
Energy saving and energy efficiency
effectively represent a source of energy
production

This involves making intelligent

energy savings and using energy in
a targeted way.
Energy saving is the cheapest way
of producing energy, so let us use it
There are several ways to use less electricity with little effort. Some of these are
given below:

Priority 1: Your Geyser

Your household geyser uses about 40 % or more of the total electricity consumption, as is
shown in the following pie chart:

Typical household
electricity use
Priority 2: Your Lighting

Light energy forms a major part of the total energy consumed in your home. Use
'compact fluorenscent' lights rather than normal incandescent 'bulb' lights for any
lights which stay on longer than about 4 hours per day. These are especially good
for outside fittings which stay on all night.
Priority 3: Heating
Heating is generally the third major cause of high energy consumption in your
household.

Insulate your ceiling. It is estimated that you can save

half of your heating electricity bill by doing this.

Include 'passive solar' features if you are designing a new

house.

Install roof hangings. These keep the summer sun out but
let the winter sun in.
What can I do to save energy?
There are many sources on the web that give you ideas of
what you can do to save energy. Here are a few ideas to get
you started:
Change your travel behavior , think more in terms of public transportation, if
possible, walk or ride your bicycle instead heating, dress warmly
Choose products of taking the car
Reduce your house heat by 1C, keep the windows closed while that come with
lightweight packaging
Turn off lights and appliances when you are not using them, use energy-saving
light bulbs
Reuse plastic bags for shopping and storage
Use a microwave instead of a stove to reheat food
Use rechargeable batteries instead of disposable batteries
Thank you for your time and consideration
