What is ‘Global Warming’?
A gradual increase in temperature due to contribution of
some gases like Carbon Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide &
some CFCs and Pollutants.

What Is ‘Pollution’?
The presence of a substance or thing that has harmful or
poisonous effects on our eco system is called ‘Pollution’.

Air Pollution
When the air contains harmful gases, dust, fumes or
odour in harmful amounts. i.e. amounts which could be
harmful for humans, plants & animals.
Land Pollution
It is the deterioration of the earth’s land surfaces,
directly or indirectly as a result of human’s activities and
misuse of land resources.
Sound Pollution
Unwanted sound or sound which produces unpleasant
effects & discomfort on the ears.
Water Pollution
It refers to the contamination of water bodies such as
rivers, lakes etc., caused by human activities. This could
be harmful to plants & animals living in water bodies.
Radioactive Pollution
It is defined as physical pollution of air, water & other
radioactive materials. The ability of certain materials to
emit the proton, gamma rays and electrons by their
nuclei is known as the radioactivity.

How to Control Pollution

Warming ?
Nuclear devices should be exploded under ground.
Choose efficient, low-polluting models of vehicles.
DO NOT dispose of household chemicals or cleaning
agents down the sink or toilet
Buy biodegradable products.
Use of horns with jarring sounds, motorbikes with
damaged exhaust pipes, noisy trucks to be banned.
