COMPANY INTRODUCTION
• The Company was established in 1954 and had its first
work premises located at Moosa Lane Kharadar Karachi.
• Initially the Company produced drawn Copper Wire used
in Jewelry, Embroidery of bridal clothes and for companies domestic cables.
• In Early 80’s, the Company started producing its first
cable products Domestic Wiring cables both Stranded & Flexible at its new premises located at Old Haji Camp Karachi. The Company produced its Cables under the Brand and Style of H.M. CABLES COMPANY INTRODUCTION • In the Early 90’s, the Company decided to expand its range of products and acquired a 2 Acre land in S.I.T.E. Karachi and installed Machines to produce Low Voltage (L.V.) Power Cables and Over Head Conductors.
• The Company got prequalification from WAPDA, KESC (now K-
Electric), T&T, CAA and other Government Organizations and started supplying cables to them.
• In addition to that the Company also ventured into the private
sector and acclaimed many projects. The Company’s Customer pool consists of Automotive, Cement, Textiles, Construction, Sugar Mills, Fertilizers, and other industrial projects. COMPANY INTRODUCTION • In order to cater a wider range of customers, the Company shifted its manufacturing Facility to the new 10 Acre premises located at S.I.T.E. Kotri.
• In order to achieve good quality results, the Company also
Installed a state of the Art Aluminum Rod Plant and also added new machines in the cable & Conductor manufacturing facility.
• The Company also acquired Triple Layer Medium Voltage
Cable (M.V.) manufacturing machinery from UK (AEI CABLES) and its testing equipment from Hipotronics USA. COMPANY INTRODUCTION • The Company has state of the Art Laboratory to carry out routine and special test for testing the quality of the cables.
• The Company produces its cables according to British (BSS),
IEC, and ASTM Standards and in case of Auto Cables the Company also follow Japanese Standards.
• The Company’s main investment is not in its machines and
equipment but into the Human resource. The Company’s Managerial and Production Staff are thorough professional with years of experience of working in local as well as International Companies. COMPANY INTRODUCTION • The Company also has the unique achievement of exporting Cables to Afghanistan, Middle East & Africa.
• The Company has won two FPCCI Export Trophies in the year 2005-2006 and 2007-2008.
• The Company has also purchased a brand new plant for
manufacturing PVC Compound and in near future will also install the plant for producing Galvanized Steel Wire. QUALITY CONTROL • The Company pays serious attention towards quality of its products. For this, the Company has acquired State of the Art testing equipment along with the high trained Staff to handle routine as well as special testing needs. • The Company also has the ISO 9001-2008 Certification which is necessary to maintain the quality of the process of producing high quality Cables a& Conductors. MEDIUM VOLTAGE CABLES • The Company in 2013 entered into the new arena of Medium Voltage (M.V.) Cables. The Company purchased the latest Triple Layer Machine for producing M.V. Cables from UK (AEI CABLES) and also purchased the testing equipment from Hipotronics USA.
• The Company started the trial production in December 2013 and produced its first cable 500mm x 1 Core and got the cable tested from High Voltage & Short Circuit Laboratory NTDC Rawat on Educational basis. The Cable was passed in the first instance.
• The Company got its second M.V. Production 120mm x 3 Core also approved on educational basis from High Voltage and Short Circuit Laboratory NTDC Rawat in October 2014. MEDIUM VOLTAGE CABLES • After the completion of the Educational Test, we applied for registration as a supplier of M.V. Range of Cables to M/s Bahria Town Group. M/s Bahria Town after going through their requisite procedures granted us the status of supplier of M.V. Cables to M/s H.M. Esmail & Company Limited. • Since then the Company has been selling its M.V. Range of Products to M/s Bahria Town Group and the performance of the cables has been satisfactory for which Bahria Group has given a performance certificate to the Company. • The Detail of supplies made to various projects of Bahria Town is given in the next slide.
