INTRODUCTION
 Jaipur district is well-connected by rail,
road and air.
RAIL NETWORK :
The district is well connected with
the rail network. Two lines namely
AHMEDABAD-DELHI railway line and DELHI
MAMBAI railway line passes through Jaipur

• Jaipur- Ahmedabad line has been
converted from Metre Gauge to
Broad Gauge with double tracked
and electrified as a rapid rail trunk
for goods and people movement.
• Jaipu r-Delhi is being segregated for
goods and passengers. It was earlier
considered for bullet train between
Jaipur-Delhi now it is being
considered to modify/upgrade an
delectrify the existing track
between Jaipur Delhi.

AIR NETWORK :
• Jaipur is well connected by air transport
to the rest of India. The airport is located Jaipur
in Sanganer, Jaipur city, about 15
kilometres from the Pink City.
• The Domestic circuit is one out of the Bassi
five in the State and others are being Bagru
Airport
Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Kota and Jodhpur.
• Jaipur Airport serves as an International
Airport and is in close proximity to Delhi.
• There are regular services from Jaipur to
other cities like New Delhi, Mumbai,
Kolkata, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Goa,
Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Agra,
Bangluru, Cochin, Chennai and
Ahmedabad along with International
flights to Dubai, Sharjah and Muscat.
• Jaipur Airport has two terminals for
Passenger and Cargo.

ROAD NETWORK :
National Level Connectivity
• The NH- 8, with length of 207 k.m is one
of the vertices of the Golden
Quadrilateral (Delhi-Mumbai-Chennai-
Kolkatta) corridor of the National
Highways Development Project
(NHDP).
• The district is positioned on the East-
West Corridor. It is part of the on
Golden Triangle of - Delhi-Agra- Jaipur
tourist circuit.
