Definitions
 Plant: Plants are essential for any ecosystem. They
provide all the energy for the ecosystem, because
they can get energy directly from sunlight. They use
a process called photosynthesis to use energy from
the sun to grow and reproduce. They also must get
nutrients from the soil. Those nutrients get into the
soil when decomposers break down waste and dead
materials. Plants require space to grow and
reproduce.
 Life Cycle: a series of stages through which an
organism passes between recurrences of a primary
stage

tissue, woody plants are usually either trees, shrubs, or lianas.

 Plant life cycle

An annual completes its life cycle in one year growing season.  Draw a diagram of the life cycle of the plant.

 Introduction
A plant's life cycle describes how long a plant lives or how long it takes to grow, flower, and produce new seeds. Join us
and explore the life cycle of plants, and learn the role that each plant part plays as a plant develops.
