INTRODUCTION
 The online examination system will help in
speeding up the process of conducting
examination.
 Teacher will be able to create examination by
composing a set of question.
OBJECTIVE
 Our Project name is “ONLINE EXAMINATION
SYSTEM” which is a web application.
 Being an integrated online examination
system it will reduce paper work.
 The main objective behind this project is to
make the process of conducting an
examination easier.

 Hardware Configuration
 Processor :- Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU N3710
 RAM :- 4.00 GB
 Software Configuration
 Front End :- html
 Back End :- JSP, Oracle Database
 Operating System :- Windows 10 64bit
TECHNOLOGY USED
 JSP :- JSP stand for Java Sever Pages. It allow you to separate
the markup language code, such as html . It support web
application with dynamic content. It require servlet container like
Tomcat. It create dynamic pages server side scripting language .
 HTML :- Html is stand for Hypertext Markup Language. It is
develop by Time Burners lee in 1990.It is used to create electronic
document that are called pages. It develop static page display on
world wide web. It is a client side scripting language. Example of
html is browser .
 ORACLE DATABASE :- A database is an organized
collection of data , generally stored and accessed electronically
from a computer system. Oracle database is a Multi-model
database, had its first release“Oracle v2” in 1979 by Larry Ellison.
Software used:
• Oracle 11g 64bit express edition.
• Apache Tomcat 7.0 server 64 bit.
• Eclipse Jee (2018-19) 64 bit.
• Windows 10 64 bit .

DISADVANTAGE OF CURRENT SYSTEM
• The current system is very time consuming.
• It is very difficult to analyse the exam manually.
• To take exam of more candidates more invigilators are required but no need of invigilator in case of on line exam.
• Results are not precise as calculation and evaluations are done manually.
• The chances of paper leakage are more in current system as compared to proposed system. Result processing
takes more time as it is done manually
FEATURES
 Time saving.
 Facility of checking proper answer after
getting the result.
 A time limit for paper.
 The examiner who uploads the questions gets
an option of specifying.
 Automatic reporting when the exam is over ,
the detailed report is ready.
SCOPE
 Can be used anywhere any time as it is a web
based application.
 No restriction that examiner has to be present
when the candidate takes the test.
 The type of question is only multiple choice.
 The system handles all the operation &
generates reports as soon as the test is finish.
ADVANTAGES
 It saves paper, time & money.
 Online exam provides flexibility and security
for question paper as each student can get
random question of some exam pattern.
 Online examination result are instant and
accurate.
 Defining question paper as per exam paper as
per exam pattern is easy in case of digital
exam.
 User friendly

WORK DONE:
• The project was successfully designed and is tested for accuracy and quality.
• During this project I have accomplished all the objectives and
• this project meets the needs of the our goal.
• The developed will be used in searching , retrieving and generating information in online examination system for
the concerned requests
