Methods for handling dyslexia

Dyslexia cannot be cured, but early treatment is proven to be very effective in

improving the ability of sufferers, especially reading.
One form of treatment that can help people with dyslexia is a special education
approach and assistance. Determining the type of intervention that is suitable usually
depends on the severity of dyslexia experienced and the results of the patient's
psychological test.
For children with dyslexia, the type of intervention that is most effective in improving
reading and writing skills is an intervention that focuses on phonological abilities. This
intervention is usually called phonics. Dyslexic patients will be taught basic elements
such as learning to recognize phonemes or the smallest sound units in words,
understanding the letters and the arrangement of letters that make up the sound,
understanding what is read, reading voicelessly, and building vocabulary.
