 The gender pay gap for Pakistan was identified to be 34 per cent, which is more than double
the global average. Women account for almost 90 per cent of the bottom 1 per cent of wage
earners in Pakistan.

  In May 2018, the Parliament of Pakistan passed the Transgender Persons (Protection of
Rights) Act 2018. The Bill was a unique piece of legislation and gained local and international
recognition. The Act provided transgenders definition and recognition. Act gives transgenders
an opportunity to select a gender of their choice (issuing of ID card), and guarantees
fundamental rights of transgenders already provided to them under the Constitution of
Pakistan. Article 25A.

 Pakistan has recently passed the revolutionary ‘ICT Rights of Persons with Disability Act
2020’ . No discrimination against basic rights (education, employability, access to health and
rehabilitation services)
