Comparison between ESP and Sidel Systems’ Fly Ash Arrestor System:
•In ESP 6 activities typically takes place.
•Ionization - Charging of particles
•Migration - Transporting the charged particles to the collecting surfaces
•Collection - Precipitation of the charged particles onto the collecting surfaces
•Charge Dissipation - Neutralizing the charged particles on the collecting surfaces

Premium
•Particle Dislodging - Removing the particles from the collecting surface to the hopper
•Particle Removal - Conveying the particles from the hopper to a disposal point
Regular Ultimate
•This makes the process complicated and unreliable unlike the SIDEL Rotary Particulate Collector. There is no
ionization charging of particles, there is no migration transporting the charges part to collecting surface, there is
no charge decapitation but simply a 3 step process of separation of particles from the gas stream and removal
via the discharge hopper into receiving receptacles.

parts, a long cycle of spare part replacement and it is simpler in design and more dependable. It has the same

needs virtually no maintenance.

•Unlike the ESP in which varies greatly as per particle size and type. For example, particles from
coal dust and fromdescription
agro waste fuel will result in different performance efficiency fordescription
ESP’s. The SIDEL SYSTEM
RPC is only dependent on flue gas volume and

delivers the same performance efficiency, regardless of the type

of fuel and type of particles.
description
•In ESP the performance description
suffers significantly if the gas flow rate varies, especially at lower gas velocity. The
SIDEL SYSTEMS’ RPC operates at the same efficiency regardless of gas flow.
•In ESP efficiency of performance is optimum when the particle size is coarse, if there are too many small
particles the generation of the ESP charging field may be suppressed. This is not the case for SIDEL SYSTEMS’
RPC and performance is not affected by particle size.
•Gas temperature effects performance of ESP collecting efficiency. This is not the case with SIDEL SYSTEMS’
RPC.

Description of the SSRPC:
•

•The Sidel System Rotary Particulate Collectorconsists

of an external modular housing constructed of sheet
metal fabrication with inlet and outlet flanges for
duct connections. Just below the housing are hoppers
from which ash and other collected material is
discharged. These hoppers are fitted with a rotary air
lock valve system to prevent ingress of air into the
collector. In lieu of flat plates, rappers, and
electrodes, there is a single connection unit within
the housing which is suitably designed and sized
through a unique proprietary design by Sidel

etc., with controls automatically adjusting as
necessary. In an effort to further ensure
operational efficiency, ease, and uptime, this
information is then sent to a website of
choice, and may also be sent to hand held
devices such as smartphones, etc. of
selected operations personnel.All constructed
materials are corrosion resistant and
guaranteed for durability

Description RPC continued

• This unit allows for variable movement, speed and

displacement which takes into consideration the volume of
flue gas flow, and is therefore self-adjusting to any volume
of flow or type of entrained particles of any size or
distribution. The collector plate system is self-cleaning and
powered by an external easily accessible electrical drive
system. The collected matter is discharged in a partially wet
manner to prevent matter from being scattered by the wind,
with this partially wet matter additionally benefiting the
ease of collection. The entire control and monitoring
systems are pre-programmed and configured for automatic
or manual operation which further adds to ease of
operation, uptime, and accuracy of the system. Data is
continuously streamed in real time, with

This does not take into account maintenance cost saving and savings due to
constant collection efficiency at all loads and savings due to saving in spare
