AUTHORITY
Authority is the right way of commanding subordinates,
issuing orders and instructions, and exacting obedience
from the team. In simple words we can say that it is the
right of the manager to make decisions or to take
action. Few examples of authority are  manager might
have the authority to make a hiring decision, decide to
spend a certain amount of money on something, choose
a supplier, 
RESPONSIBILITY
Responsibility is defined as  a duty or task which is
assigned to a subordinate on the basis of his position in the
organization. In responsibility a subordinate is obliged to
complete the given task on time. Examples of responsibility
are Hiring and staffing, Training new employees, dealing
with performance problems etc.
RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN
AUTHORITY AND RESPONSIBILITY

This principle of authority and responsibility was given by


HENRI FAYOL . He always recommended that there should
be a balance between both authority and responsibility ,
however adequate power should be provided to both for
smooth working and completion of work in an organization.
