report; Part 2: Analysing your Blogs’ SEO Audit Report.
• You will analyse the SEO audit report for upgrad.com from
seositecheckup.com and suggest ways to optimise for a better
SEO score. Similarly, you will analyse the SEO audit report for
your blog using seoptimer.com
• You need to provide (any) two optimization techniques for
content and (any) two for technical.
• Note: The SEO reports used are from different tools.

PART A
Content SEO
From the SEO audit report given, suggest ways to perform Content SEO.
Your Answer:
Upgrad website lacks H1 tags(headings).
H1 tags help indicate the important topics of your page to search engines.
Although it is not mandatory to add H1 headings but it helps to define topic of the page to
search engines.
It should be more user friendly and clicks should be reduced to reach to a particular option. It
will reduce the bounce rate and increases the conversion rate.
Content SEO
From the SEO audit report given, suggest ways to perform Content SEO.
Your Answer:
1. Upgrad’s website is using ‘img’ tags with empty or missing ‘alt’ tags so alt tags should be optimized as alt
tags used to describe the contents of images .As a user we don’t know which type of images are placed but
if the image is just for the decoration purpose then it does not require alt tag because removing them did
not hamper the page but if it is a important image it should have alt tag.
2. It had aspect ratio issues. It should be fixed to avoid distorted images.
3. There is size issue of images which should be resolved.
4. Upgrad’s website taking 5.32 seconds to load . It is over the average loading time of 5 second. All the
graphics, videos and JavaScript should be optimized so that the load time
decreases.
Technical SEO
From the SEO audit report given, suggest ways to perform Technical SEO.
Your Answer
1.Ensure that Google is crawling, indexing, and rendering the site appropriately.
2.Frequently check the website for on-page SEO
3. Always check the backlinks and remove spam if any and check that they are working correctly
and
are authentic.
4. The site should be user friendly and click rate should be reduced.
5. Try to add unique plagrisim free content so that it should index uniquely and it will increase SEO.
6.Performance report should be frequently generated to check the problems in website.
Technical SEO
From the SEO audit report given, suggest ways to perform Technical SEO.
Your Answer
1. It does not contain ads.txt file . This file is important because it contains a list of authorize digital
sellers. The purpose of this file is to give advertisers and advertising networks the ability to verify
who is allowed to sell advertising on your website.
2. This site lacks robot.txt file . This file can protect private content from appearing online, save
bandwidth and lowers the load time on your server.
3.Upgrad can use more authentic tools like semrush, neilpatel.com, ahrefs.com etc.
4. Google Analytics should also equally monitored.
5. Page Speed should be optimized frequently and if it has problems then it should be optimized
instantly so that bounce rate can be reduced and conversion rates increases.
PART B
Attach Your Blogs SEO Report (in the from of screen
shots)
Q1. Identify two content and two technical gaps for your webpage. State relevant
optimisation techniques for the same.
Your Answer
Technical Gaps-
1. Java script should be compressed as it is increasing page load time.

2. This website is not supporting latest file format like .png and .jpeg. This is used because these are the free images available on the
website.
3. Pages are not equally sized.
4. It does not have secured protocols as that package in not taken at the time of buying domain as it going out of budget.
5. It lacks favicon test.
6. Meta tags can be taken upto 125 characters so that it will help in SEO optimizations.
7. It should be more user friendly and it lacks UI/UX interface.
Content Gaps-
1. The content should be optimised and regularly updated with required keywords so that it will increase the credibility of the website.
2. Alt tags are missing . As it is a new website merely made with the predefined theme . It need to be developed properly with HTML coding
As it is a FMCG based website it should be have a payment gateway as well as catalogue attached with it which will be the vision in the
later stages.
3. H1 tag can be optimised .

Q3. What is your server speed; and How can you improve it?
Your Answer
The server speed of my website is 8.08 seconds ( recommended 5). As it is a new website and only
made it in WordPress .
It needs coding in the backend to solve the issues and making more interactive by including top
ranking keywords , minifying Java scripts, Proper usage of H1 to H6 tags.
Alt tags should be properly labelled with neat vector images. The content should be optimised for
better SEO purpose.
Q4. Study your report and identify if your blog has a robot.txt file?
Your Answer
Yes my blog contains in-built robot.txt file. As I am using latest version of Word Press it includes
inbuilt robot.txt file.
