FINDINGS
Finding from the Survey
 100% of respondents are aware of the digital payment system and
everyone has experienced it.
 The majority of the respondents i.e., 69% prefer digital payment over
traditional cash payment methods.
 The majority of the respondents (53.4%) using digital payment are
male. Only 46.6% are female.
 The respondents using digital payment are mostly of the age group
18-25. Most of them (56.9%) have an academic qualification of a
Bachelor’s degree (56.9%).

Finding from Survey for Merchants
 The satisfaction level of most of the customers (31%) towards digital
payment is neutral, 22.4% are satisfied, 20.7% are dissatisfied, 15.5% are
highly satisfied and 10.3% are highly dissatisfied.
 58% of the merchants have customers who usually pay digitally whereas
only 42% of them have customers who mostly use cash for payment.
 The satisfaction level of most of the customers (31%) towards digital
payment is neutral, 22.4% are satisfied, 20.7% are dissatisfied, 15.5% are
highly satisfied and 10.3% are highly dissatisfied.

Finding from Survey for Merchants
 Most of the merchants (also customers) agreed that digital payment system is
convenient, easy to use, safe and secure and trustworthy.
 The majority of the merchants (67%) prefer digital mediums whereas 33% of
them prefer cash for accepting payment.
 It is found that most of them (50%) have been facing technical issues, 25%
have found the system non-reliable, 17% have privacy issues and 8% have an
issue with fraud and theft.

LIMITATIONS
Constraints
 Since the sample size is small, so the result derived may
not be generalizable. 
 Basic evaluation and documentation tools such as MS
Word and MS Excel were used 
 Only basic descriptive statistics were employed. 
 Further research and multiple survey are required to
accurately draw the conclusion

• Majority of USER’s have positive attitude towards digital payment.

Implications
• Various offers and discounts should be provided
• Dominant respondents using digital payment were male, so the
marketing programs, awareness campaigns can be run to enhance the

participation of female to make them use e-payment system.
• Should be easy access to the safe and secure internet facility.
• Should have user friendly interface of the digital payment systems.,
such as multiple language options
