How to create an Offline

Edit
• By Dylan Lambert
Step 1:Drop the file you want to use for the project. Into the box "Project" in the bottom left.

You do this for every file, Such as Video or Photo files you want to include in the footage.
Step 2:Drag the file you just put into the "Project" box onto the timeline, Which will be blank.
Step 3: When using multiple pieces of footage at the same time, You want to use the different
"tracks" being the different levels. This allows for you to include multiple photos/videos at once.

[DO NOT PLACE FOOTAGE ON THE SAME LINE if you want it to be displayed at the same time. This
will remove parts of the first clips]
Step 4: When you've ran out of "Video tracks" for video editing.
Move your cursor to the right of the eye on the topmost line [Near/In the red circle], this being (V7)
Then right click with your mouse>"add track" This creates another track at the top.

(Do the same but instead on the A1-A4) Audio Tracks) to create more audio tracks.
Step 5: Once you are satisfied with the clips you've added and want to make it into a video/audio file.
First save the project by (CTRL+S) Or "File>Save As"
Then click the "Export" button
Step 5: The settings depend on the project. Typically if you're uploading to Youtube/Presentation. You want to use 1080p HD.
You want to click the "Preset">"High Quality 1080p HD"
Step 6: You want to ensure that the format in which the file will be exported to. Is compatible with the System/Website you
plan on watching the footage on.

Most common being "MP3,MPEG4,H264" for Youtube/Presentations.

Step 7: To create an offline edit means, No VFX, No Audio. Purely only the footage in the order that is
most likely going to be in the final edit.

So you want to click the sliders ensuring they are off

"Audio"
"Effects"
"MetaData"
Step 8:  The final step before exporting would be to ensure of the location, You've saved the file.
Make sure you've saved it to a location you have access to and will remember where it is.

Once you've picked your location You can click "Export"
