in the year 2000 by Deep Kalra. Created to empower the Indian
traveler with instant booking and comprehensive choices, the
organization began its journey in the US-India travel market. It aimed to

2000, MakeMyTrip started its services in the US.
Headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana, the firm provides online travel

the market share, as per the market intelligence firm KalaGato.
GoIBIBO follows at 33%. The likes of Oyo, Cleartrip and Yatra are
distant rivals, each capturing less than 10% of the market.

offering variety of services to its users. It offers travel and tour packages
for both domestic and international destinations. The company’s services

Covid-19 has made a huge decrease in the company’s profit as due to
lockdown there is no travel between states or countries. Even Deep
Kalra(CEO, MakeMyTrip) gave a statement that he is witnessing a
slowdown in the economy and travel industry .It will have a negative
impact on the industry in the coming years and also the lockdown has
already seized all business opportunities for this year.
