INTRODUCTION TO
PSYCHOLOGY
Myths vs. Facts
 People often believe things like "all politicians are corrupt" or "men are more
logical than women." But are they true?
 Psychology helps us find what's really true – through careful study

More Than Just Beliefs

 Psychology isn't just opinions. It's a science about our thoughts, feelings and
actions.
 It teaches us to question and test our ideas about people, using real evidence.

Learning from Experts

 In psychology, it's not enough to accept something because an expert says it.
Psychologists see how they found their ideas and if these ideas match what
happens in real life.
