Now let's work some examples:

Find an equation of the circle with


center at (3, 1) and radius 4.

(x – 3)² + (y – 1)² = 4²
(x – 3)² + (y – 1)² = 16

Can I Connect?
Cellular phone networks use towers to transmit calls to
circular area. On a grid of a province, the coordinate that
correspond to the location of the towers and the radius
each are as follows: Wise Tower is at (-2, -4) and covers 9
km radius: Global Tower is at (3, 6) and covers a 4 km
radius; and Star Tower is at (8, -3) and covers a 6 km
radius.
