MOTOR
Refined stator and rotor slot profile
improves efficiency.
Anti-spin bearings ~ Patented Centrilift
design is proven in thousands of
installations over a wide variety of
applications. (Now a standard feature
on all motor series.)
Kapton-coated magnet wire, Pioneered
by Centrilift, is now the industry
standard.
Insulating materials ~ highest thermal
rating in the industry.
Housings in standard or special
corrosion resistant metallurgy.
Shafts ~ Centrilift ESP equipment
operates clockwise to better ensure
tightening of tubing joints. Centrilift
motors are specially designed to
operate in either direction.
Epoxy filled slots and end turns ~
standard for all Centrilift motor series
provide better heat transfer and rigid
support of windings to prolong motor
life.
Epoxy Fixture ~ provides protection to
windings during motor maintenance.
This protection is only found in Centrilift
motors. Previous
MOTOR LEAD
EXTENSION
Centriline DuraleadTM Motor Lead cable (used for flat
extensions to motor) is designed in three constructions.
KT3 operates at temperatures from -40°F (-40°C) to
250°F (121°C). KHT cable is rated for service from 60°F
(-51°C) to 400°F (204°C) and is a premium cable for
wells with higher temperature requirements. KLHT is
Centrilift's lead sheath motor lead for wells with harsh or
sour environmental conditions and temperatures up to
450°F (232°C).
Motor lead cables have two layers of polyimide half-
lapped and heat sealed film directly over the conductor.
This polyimide film has a very high dielectric strength.
This allows the primary EPDM rubber insulation to
maintain the highest electrical integrity.
KT3 has an oil resistant nitrile rubber jacket for greater
physical protection and a B-250 braid that adds hoop
strength to the product to prevent decompression
damage.
KHT is designed for wells requiring the ultimate motor
lead with the lowest profile available. The same high
quality polyimide film and EPDM rubber insulation is
used. A high temperature tape and proprietary B-400
braid adds hoop strength to protect the cable against
decompression. B-400 braid resists most chemicals used
in oil wells at temperatures up to 400°F (204°C).
Monel or galvanized steel armor provides an overall
protection for these cables. Cable protectors are
recommended for highly deviated wells or wells with a
minimal clearance. Please consult your Centrilift sales
representative for more information.

SEAL TANDEM
Maximize Your System Run Life
A successfully applied seal section prevents well fluids from
entering the motor, allows motor oil expansion/ contraction,
equalizes internal motor pressure with the annulus
pressure, and absorbs pump shaft thrust. Proper
performance of all these functions is essential to maximize
your system run life and minimize overall operating
expenses.

GAS SEPARATOR
Stop free gas problems
The rotary gas separator has
significantly improved the efficiency
of submersible pumping systems in
hundreds of wells. The separator:
•Prevents deterioration of the head-
capacity performance of the pump
system.
•Eliminates pressure surges for
capacities at or below the designed
flow rate.
•Prevents cavitation at high flow
rates.
•A voids motor load fluctuations due
to cycling caused by severe gas
interference-
•Extends in-the-well life with an
exclusive shrouded rotor design.
Simple, reliable design
The separator works by separating
free gas and liquid in a rotating
chamber. The well fluid enters the
separator intake ports and passes
through an inducer, which provides
positive pressure to the downstream
components. Guide vanes then
convert the flow from the tangential
direction to the axial direction,
reducing entrance-flow losses. Then
the fluid enters the shrouded rotor.
GAS SEPARATOR
Rotary gas separator increases
production
A well produced with a competitor's
electrical submersible pump was
lifting 87 BOPD (13.8 m3/d), with
423 BWPD (67.2 m3/d). The
submergence pressure was 439 psi
(30.9 kg/cm2), with a fluid level of
1014 ft (309 m). Free gas at the
intake was 12.84 percent.
The pump was pulled, and a
Centrilift FC650 pumping system
was installed with the rotary gas
separator. The submergence
pressure dropped to 94 psi (6.6 kg/
cm2), with a fluid level of only 218 ft
(66.4 m). Free gas percent rose to
56.2 percent, but the rotary gas
separator removed virtually all of
the free gas prior to the pump. Oil
volume rose to 115 BPD (18.3
m3/d), with a water increase to 679
BPD 120 (108 m3/d).
This is a typical example of how
efficient separation of free gas can
boost production and profit.
